  • A Daddy Ramanu hit. A tribute to one of the most elusive animals in the forest, the etu (antelope). This faster version of the Ohdeh's (hunter's) play is -- I believe -- rather part of an attempt to re-enact the elusiveness of this animal. In fact, during a hunter's dance, the re-enactment becomes part of the agbo play. Enjoy. The uniqueness of the afere in the beginning of this tune tells a story only the true Ohdeh would appreciate....

This is a true reflection of Salone cultural society hunting songs . It's brought my memory back to the days when we hide from our parent to go and witness it .

For your ignorant ppl that don't know history, this song is in Yoruba and am a descendant of the great Yoruba tribe in Sierra Leonre we are called Creole because we didn't want to feel like outsiders even though we are. And we deeply influenced a lot of things in Sierra Leone. Omo Yoruba Ni Mi

I am creole but my family is not Yorobahs
Yorobahs people of Sierra Leone still speak Yorobahs

it shame people still need to argue about these things
many people know the history of Freetown
where free slaves from England America etc. flee from slavery to start a new life.
almost amongst all these people where other Africans that flee from slaves ships so creole are a mixed bunch

@@jasminethomas8894Stop this. More than 70% of Krios are Yoruba. The Nova Scotians, English, Jamaican Maroon and other African tribes were in small numbers compared to the Yoruba.

@@ivandunn1334 lef di ignorant bafoon she must not know her history roots she’s partial right but half of the other tribes got wiped out and Yoruba was the only one standing. Look at all the Creole names ain’t none but simply Yoruba

The songs are in Yoruba, more of the Egba, Ijesha and Ondo dialects. it is a society brought to Free Town by the Yoruba people who were liberated in the high sea by the British Navy.It is also in Nigeria and Benin Republic. Most of it participants are worshipers of Songo the GOD OF THUNDER(OBA KOSO), Ogun the GOD OF IRON AND WAR and OSOOSI the god of hunting. I saw them in Abeokuta and even met the new crown Adeje of Ebga land. Nice society but more adulterated version in Free Town.
