      @@RADGarage per the definition of the words, I agree that a nook is preferable.
      "A "cranny" is a crack, small hole or narrow fissure in something. "Cranny" has a convoluted history, but it is probably rooted in the Latin "crena," or "notch," and first appeared In English around 1440. A "nook" is a little out-of-the-way corner of a house or any sort of secluded, sheltered spot."

    It amazes me how some folks will let their beautiful (and very expensive) automobiles get soooooo dirty. The "before" and "after" is stunning. (Mike in Ohio)

    Hi Rick, what a spectacular job you did on this extremely dirty Volvo. I really enjoyed it immensely. Learned a lot too. You didn't have quite the arsenal of equipment back then that you do now. Confirms my belief that I can do great work without having all and every of the latest specialty tools on the market today. And yes...I'm going back to the beginnings to appreciate your evolution as the premier artist in the field of boutique detailing. No reply required.

    Awesome job. I have the same car, but my chrome trim has water spots on it that just won't go away with whatever cleaner I use. What should I use?
    Also, my wheels have this really stubborn brake dust that simply just won't go away, no matter what cleaner I use or how hard I scrub them. Can you please help me with this?
    Thank you so much!

    • @RADGarage
      @RADGarage 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks. It's super hard for me to say what you should do without actually seeing the car, but do you have a mini polisher by chance? I have had success in the past with bringing back spotted or stained chrome trim with a mild polish on a medium polishing pad. Cleaners alone aren't going to be abrasive enough to lift those mineral deposits from the finish. (From the sounds of it). For the brake dust, what are you using as your cleaner and what are you using to scrub?

    • @myca.r2796
      @myca.r2796 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@RADGarage I do have a polisher, but it's not mini (6.5" pad). I'll try the gentle polish on my medium cutting pad.
      I have used the Sonnax cleaner, almost all the Chemical Guys wheel cleaners, store-bought cleaners, etc. etc. but now I am going to try CarPro IronX Iron Remover. I also recently bought a steamer so I may try that to heat up the crud to see if it helps getting the brake dust off. I also will be borrowing my neighbor's pressure washer soon so I may try that as well. Last question, sorry to bother you: what are the things to avoid doing when cleaning wheels to protect the wheel finish?
      Thanks!

    • @RADGarage
      @RADGarage 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sounds like you have a few options to explore. Hopefully you find the winning combination. When you are aggressively trying to get wheels clean, you do have to be careful with each step. Every wheel is different, but go easy with the brushes. Too much pressure on the wrong wheel and you could end up with marring/scratches. You may have to face the fact that the "crud" has actually etched it way into the outer coating of the wheel. At that point, there's not much you can do. Feel free to send me an email with pics to radgarageyyc@gmail.com.

I actually just came back in from a 1 hr wheel-only cleaning session and I was able to get the wheel 99.9999% clean, there's very small black specs left in select areas. How in the WORLD can people let their vehicle get THAT dirty? Even a vacuum once a month would have done something. I understand vehicles get dirty, my own included, but gosh darn, take a vacuum to that thing once in a while, and wipe down the dash with a damp rag once a month for gosh sakes. I felt bad for the detailing professional here having to deal with all that but they did an amazing job getting that vehicle back to top condition. Guess it keeps them in business.
