I was there, you certainly had a better game than our defence! Nice insight into how refs are assessed, well done.
Thank you Geoff. The game was still extremely close
6:01 no foul good call
Great upload 👍👍👍
I'm doing mostly youth soccer - but I definitely checking tables and team stats when it's U16 and older, and maybe a higher league or cup game. With younger teams or less skilled teams I learned that it don't matter really :-)
Great game this one, good reffing!
8:29 as I watched live, I immediately thought 'no foul', and saw you had it the same way. We agree.
I referee youth soccer in Los Angeles. Your videos are great, you are a terrific referee, and I learn from watching them!
Thank you! I’m glad you’re enjoying them 😁
ran the line here a few weeks back, friendly bunch. Good upload again!
Very friendly team. Thank you
You're bringing the experience of a real ref to life with the videos.
Great preparation.
I love the free advertising british airways get with a plane flying past at 7 min 30 sec
Peter
Thank you Peter. Haha, they should pay me for it
@@RefsWorld a free flight to your next match
Great ref even better man 👏🏼🐸
Thank you 🙌😁
Loving your work Demetri! I also check the form, table, players etc before a game. Using Refsix is great for this as I can see when/if I last encountered the teams. I ref in South Wales now but used to play in London and your train/bus commute to the game brings back memories of those days!
Thanks Richard. Refsix is great, it helps with so many things. How is it refereeing over there?
Really good - I'm from here originally and played in these leagues so I know a few of the players and club officials. We have been using the temporary dismissal trial in certain leagues this season which has been interesting, but the best part of officiating over here is that my AR appointments tend to be at Welsh Tier 3 where we are allowed to use comms! @@RefsWorld
@richardjeffries2365 It really helps when you know players and managers. Is it sin bins or something different? Ahh that’s wicked
yeah sin bins - 10 mins for dissent offences. glad you've bought a new whistle since you started doing these videos ;)@@RefsWorld
That’s only just been introduced to your leagues? Haha my first whistle was awful 😂
when the player kicked the ball away right on the whistle , don't pull him out for a chat about it, if you do that your setting yourself up for the next one, let the game restart and have a quite word with the player on the next stoppage or try and get next to him during the game ..
This is much better! Thanks for the advice
I am a new ref and doing pretty well imo. i am strugglinf with position and sometimes get in the way. any tips on positioning?
I hope it going well. Even I still struggle with positioning. Try and angle your runs and not just run in a straight line. That can often get you close to play but also in the way
Always check the tables and form even if its Sunday league. When i am with official assistants i use it in my team talk too so they are aware of what kind of game to expect.
This is what I do. It gives me an idea of the teams, that’s why I show it in every video as i’ve checked the tables
What level are you at now mate?
@@RefsWorld
@matthewcollins6198 5 now, into my 3rd season and going for level 4
Got my first ever 100 points today. Was a county cup game.
Well done 👊🏽
is the whistle a molten dolphin valkeen?
It’s the fox 40 sonik blast
Never a foul in the first 15 seconds ref
Are you sure 😂?
