    Thank you for the great tips. Will definitely invest in adhesive sheets. I use my precision plate for everything. It cuts down on having to keep replacing my cutting plate so my only expense now is the top plates which warp all too often. I'm waiting for someone to come out with a precision plate for the mini die cut machines like the Altenew Mini Blossom or the Sizzix SideKick. Please keep your video's coming.

    This is incredible!
    I have been away from scrapbooking & cardmaking for awhile & had no idea about these beautiful dies.
    There are no scrapbooking businesses in my area anymore (even though I live close to a large city) & so kind of let it go as a hobby. We do have the big box stores for supplies, but there just doesn't seem to be classrs available anymore.
    Very sad.

      Ellen Hofer, have you ever thought about starting a class by yourself? Just wondering if the people around would have an interest in doing it. Personally, I would have loved someone starting it years back, where I live.

    I’d appreciate watching you pick out the pieces from that intricate die because the delicate nature of it has turned me off, at this point, from a purchase. & I’d like to know how long your process took.
    It also seems as though one pays A LOT for the machine but then there’s a huge outlay for other important components like the brush; chrome plate, tape (as opposed to just washi) etc. The first item seems manageable, but, for me, not the second. 🙏❤However, your finished work is beautiful!

    Thank you so much I really really enjoyed watching you cutting those awkward dies. What did you have underneath the precision plate? As I’m considering buying a precision plate, so it would be helpful to know. Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags

    Do you ever use the magnetic base? My understanding is that the magnetic base prevents the need for tape holding the die? If you do recommend the magnetic base could you demo that too? Thanks. Your instructions are very clear. I appreciate it.

    Hello. What would you use instead of a chrome plate on the big shot plus machine? Great tips, thanks

    • @sizzix
      @sizzix  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Rosa,
      We do not recommend to use the precision base plates with Big Shot Plus Machines - this will result in reduced cutting pad and die life.
      Instead we suggest that you pass your intricate dies through the machine at least 3 times. If extra ejection is needed for easier separation of the die-cut from the design, place wax paper between the Thinlits die and your material and then cut. Passing your die at an angle preferably towards the edges of the roller and not in the middle, would also be beneficial.
      We hope this helps, let us know if you need anything further 😊

    That chrome plate looks amazing! The description of the chrome plate says that it should not be used with the Big Shot Plus. What would you recommend for cutting intricate dies on the Big Shot Plus? Thank you!!!

    • @sizzix
      @sizzix  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! Due to the amount of pressure this machine uses, no extra accessory is needed when working with intricate dies! It should have the perfect cut every time! If needed pass your sandwich a few times into the machine 😊

    Hi there. I just bought my first Sizzix intricate dies and am considering getting the chrome precision plate as it’s difficult to get a nice cut without it. I’m wondering... does it damage/dull the dies over time? Also, can it be used for other thin dies from other companies?

    • @sizzix
      @sizzix  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Lori, We recommend only using our own products with your machines. In terms of the chrome precision plate, we recommend that you do not use with Big Shot Foldaway or Big Shot Plus Machines - this will result in reduced cutting pad and die life. Also do not use the Chrome Precision Base Plate with any steel-rule dies as damage may occur. Happy crafting! 😊

    I ordered the chrome precision base plate already but I did not know they aren't supposed to be used with the Big Shot Plus!!! I have to tell you I am super disappointed about that.

    Hi everyone - I have a question - Very new to Sizzix - I have a die which is a couple getting married that I thought would be beautiful for a wedding card. Problem I have is the die has a perforation line down it and I'm not sure what to do with it. Hoping I'm asking the right crowd. Accept apologies if not.

      Hello! Unfortunately we can't guarantee that dies that are not from Sizzix will be compatible with our machines. You may need to ask the company that you purchased the dies from and see if they can look into this for you, as we are not able to test this. We hope this helps!
