Fun fact, a friend of mine that is 14 has managed to develop his own script executor. He does not do advanced classes, it was not for a project, he just wanted to see if he could do it. If a 14 year old kid can manage to completely bypass your entire security system against cheaters, you have failed as a gaming company.

For those who think Roblox is still suing Ruben, don’t worry, it’s over. They settled, but Ruben intended to make three videos disproving and countering everything in the document before they settled. Honestly great to see Ruben continue to clap back at Roblox, and hit *hard* while he’s at it.
So : -Promoting child labour. -Promoting a gambling system (the Avatar Shop) for minors that can be easily detrimental to many families. -Bad pay and work environment for game developers. -Support to AND lack of action against exposed as well as convicted child predators. -Complete lack of action and vision against anything that happens off their site. -Complete lack of understanding on what the community wants, to the point where it seems the company is against the community most of the time. -Extreme (and obvious) priority of profit over absolutely anything. -Zero defense of the site's integrity and history. -Shit moderation, manual and automatic. -Lack of any kind of common sense as a company (they literally sued a youtuber who has just critisized ROBLOX, it's impossible to win a lawsuit like that). Friendly reminder that when my parents saw Roblox's lawsuit document because I was trying to cope by talking with them about it, they believed every last inch of the document, said Ruben was a horrible person, that guys like him should be locked up, and that I needed to re-think my life priorities if I thought a guy like him was innocent. The thing that fucks me up with these is how similar we both started. I'm 25 and started playing Roblox in 2008 like you, and until they sued you, I didn't even know about this stuff. I had some lingering doubts, sure, but the true extent of this problem didn't become apparent until I watched this and part 1. The fact that this shit can happen under the noses of people who have been playing since they were children themselves is frightening. It makes me think about all the people I've been in contact with, the games I've played, the developers I've supported. How many were operating like this? How many did Roblox know about, and ignore, because they made them money? It's fucking sickening. And absolutely goddamn terrifying.
It's terrifying just how many pedophiles exist in the world. Some studies imply it's the most common sexual deviancy among adults. Combine that with big corporations, and people being able to avoid the law if they have enough money, and you'll start to see why some things in the world work the way they do. Sometimes the people meant to protect us from these freaks are also in on it, like police and even judges. My only advice I can offer is, if you have kids or work with them, protect them. Cuz you never know which normal-looking person on the street might be a degenerate, pretending to act like a human.

And the 2(or 3 if you count the unlisted video) videos People Make Games made about Roblox, too. Someone called Ecoscratcher tried to defend Roblox and wrote an article after the first video. The article failed to debunk any of the claims at all, and ended up making that Ecoscratcher's life a bit worse when Roblox used said article to make the claim that the first video was inaccurate, which People Make Games responded to by debunking it in an unlisted video you can access via the description of the 2nd video. As far as I know, Ecoscratcher's still stands by the initial article. The dude did write a 2nd article, but it seems to be an add-on to the first article. I didn't read the whole 2nd article though, not after reading the 1st article.

Ex "developer" here I just want to thank you for exposing this shit. When other devs bring things up like this on the discord or devforum we always get shut down, they close the post and hide it so other people can't see it. I *was* originally on roblox's "side" before I was falsely terminated after someone putting nsfw shit into my game. For now on I will continue criticizing roblox for their unprofessional and unsafe platform.

i got terminated for the same reason bro except they scanned my game as inappropriate. i still play because the roblox developers (well at least most of them) aren't to blame for this, but i had a dream of a career on roblox, down the toilet.

I cannot wait for the sequel, especially since the case was deleted despite everything Roblox put on the table. If Roblox is shut down as a result of exposing the company, I will at least be relieved knowing the drama is over, and glad if they fully commit into returning to the community after recovery. I would rather they fix the mess they created already, because then nobody would be getting hurt. Infact, Roblox would be getting even better if they are going to be with the community, and not separate from the community more than they already have.

You could also set up roblox parental controls, so your children can't see chat messages and also if you want will block out games with extreme violence, that way your kids don't have to pay the price for the few bad apples on the tree

I am glad you were willing to call out roblox on this stuff while you could. Maybe people will start to pick up after you sometime soon, but now Roblox has shown they are willing to sue them because of that. It is standard practice for most cooperations out there.

Just to be crystal clear, you'll find the same creeps across all games, but a select few development companies seem to really defend the scummiest of bottom feeders. Those same devs are more often than not tied to kid oriented games. Your job, from now till age 100, is to be wary of everything. That doesn't mean stop living your life, but be cautious. If money's involved, people have a reason to be corrupt, even a little bit.

I got bored with the game. I missed the days when pirates life, build to survive, and those old pokemon games were popular. Now it's become a bunch of ads and microtransactions. Sure, there are still some games that are fun, but it's not what it used to be. What they did to you, what I found out about what the company has become, those were the final nails to the coffin. It's a shame, and utterly disappointing to see my once favorite game platform become what we see now.
I’ve been playing since 2010 and it’s honestly sad how far south this company and site have gone. I never heard of incidents regarding Grooming, etc. but I recently found out that a creator of one of my favorite games had groomed multiple girls. It’s disgusting that Roblox does nothing and that it’s down to parents and other players to figure out a way to stop it.

The word toxic is a wide range. Sure, some toxic people deserve to get banned for extended periods of time/permanently . But I would say a majority don’t deserve to be banned for 1 month or longer. (I do acknowledge that the word Banned can mean anywhere from banned for 1 day to IP banned. So the commenter could be talking about 1 - 30 days)

When I first heard about the incident I was disgusted by what Ruben had done but after hearing his side of the story I realized how much Roblox hates Ruben and how much they are accusing him of things he hasn't done.

I'm someone who got falsely terminated by Roblox, I'm also a minor. Just seeing these videos can make you question what Roblox is doing and how sane they are, if they are at all.
@@skycloudhopper It's fine, I got terminated 7 months ago, I'm still playing Roblox to this day, the main reason why I couldn't stop the termination is because my account age was over 18, so it can get terminated, I've learned from that mistake and now I'm keeping my account's age under 18

I'm a former Roblox developer until recently our small team decided to abandon our Roblox game for good. It's no longer about the "money" at this point, like what People Make Games are pointing out. It's about Roblox continuing to ignore the major problems happening on their platform, keep it hidden as much as possible to appeal to investors and brands, rather than solve those major problems to protect their community.
There are so many pedophiles and groomers and adult content in this platform and roblox does no shit about it good job for calling out these people #justiceforrubensim.

This is tragic. Roblox is my childhood. The Iron Cafe, Contamination, Zombie Tower, every other old school game you can think of. Roblox's corporate infrastructure has been taken over by horrible people. There was a point in time where the employees had good interest, but that is fading. An incredible head ache is seeing the warmth in your heart turn into a monster in front of your very eyes. Corporate structures are tools. Don't throw slack on the brand of Roblox, but more so on the low quality people that have infiltrated the work force. Hold them accountable. Say their names to anyone and everyone you can. Friendly reminder that when my parents saw Roblox's lawsuit document because I was trying to cope by talking with them about it, they believed every last inch of the document, said Ruben was a horrible person, that guys like him should be locked up, and that I needed to re-think my life priorities if I thought a guy like him was innocent.

The thing that fucks me up with these is how similar we both started. I'm 25 and started playing Roblox in 2008 like you, and until they sued you, I didn't even know about this stuff. I had some lingering doubts, sure, but the true extent of this problem didn't become apparent until I watched this and part 1.
The fact that this shit can happen under the noses of people who have been playing since they were children themselves is frightening. It makes me think about all the people I've been in contact with, the games I've played, the developers I've supported. How many were operating like this? How many did Roblox know about, and ignore, because they made them money?
It's fucking sickening. And absolutely goddamn terrifying.
It's terrifying just how many pedophiles exist in the world. Some studies imply it's the most common sexual deviancy among adults. Combine that with big corporations, and people being able to avoid the law if they have enough money, and you'll start to see why some things in the world work the way they do. Sometimes the people meant to protect us from these freaks are also in on it, like police and even judges.
My only advice I can offer is, if you have kids or work with them, protect them. Cuz you never know which normal-looking person on the street might be a degenerate, pretending to act like a human.

The article failed to debunk any of the claims at all, and ended up making that Ecoscratcher's life a bit worse when Roblox used said article to make the claim that the first video was inaccurate, which People Make Games responded to by debunking it in an unlisted video you can access via the description of the 2nd video. As far as I know, Ecoscratcher's still stands by the initial article. The dude did write a 2nd article, but it seems to be an add-on to the first article. I didn't read the whole 2nd article though, not after reading the 1st article.

I cannot wait for the sequel, especially since the case was deleted despite everything Roblox put on the table. Just to be crystal clear, you'll find the same creeps across all games, but a select few development companies seem to really defend the scummiest of bottom feeders. Those same devs are more often than not tied to kid oriented games.

I got bored with the game. I missed the days when pirates life, build to survive, and those old pokemon games were popular. Now it's become a bunch of ads and microtransactions. Sure, there are still some games that are fun, but it's not what it used to be. What they did to you, what I found out about what the company has become, those were the final nails to the coffin. It's a shame, and utterly disappointing to see my once favorite game platform become what we see now.

I’ve been playing since 2010 and it’s honestly sad how far south this company and site have gone. I never heard of incidents regarding Grooming, etc. but I recently found out that a creator of one of my favorite games had groomed multiple girls. It’s disgusting that Roblox does nothing and that it’s down to parents and other players to figure out a way to stop it.
Jesus, I feel you I didn’t even know about the grooming back then when I first started playing. I played around the same time as you (didn’t make a proper account or use Roblox as much back then) but I knew about some of these acts ever since I started playing more in 2019 it’s honestly sad how roblox copes with stuff like this :(

I'm a former Roblox developer until recently our small team decided to abandon our Roblox game for good. It's no longer about the "money" at this point, like what People Make Games are pointing out. It's about Roblox continuing to ignore the major problems happening on their platform, keep it hidden as much as possible to appeal to investors and brands, rather than solve those major problems to protect their community.

ROBLOX deserves everything they have coming to them. I cannot stand how tone-deaf & careless they are, no action has ever been taken.
This is tragic. Roblox is my childhood. The Iron Cafe, Contamination, Zombie Tower, every other old school game you can think of. Roblox's corporate infrastructure has been taken over by horrible people. There was a point in time where the employees had good interest, but that is fading. An incredible head ache is seeing the warmth in your heart turn into a monster in front of your very eyes. Corporate structures are tools. Don't throw slack on the brand of Roblox, but more so on the low quality people that have infiltrated the work force. Hold them accountable. Say their names to anyone and everyone you can. Destroy their reputation. Protect the children at all cost!
It's sad how a company that first made a game to be inviting to children to explore the creativity of their mind now only cares about the money they make and proceeds to sue people who call them out on their bullshit.
