    Democratic Alliance (South Africa) was started not by a South African. South Africans transfer hate to other Africans, rather than to the whites. I think it is the mother of Chidinma Adetshina that should bear the brunt of the law, not Chidinma Adetshina. Chidinma Adetshina was born in South Africa and was an infant when this all happened. I would also say South Africa is far better than Nigeria and many other African countries though. I appreciate your view. It made me understand more of South Africa as a rainbow nation. If Mandela had forced the whites to leave, South Africa would have been as poor as many other African countries. South Africa has the right to decide best. Others should mind their own business.

    I find it confusing when some African nationals speak out against xenophobia/prejudice, but at the same time support violence against groups like the LGBTQI+ community. Our shared goal is a free Africa where all citizens can enjoy freedom, dignity, and respect. If we’re talking about African unity, let's be consistent and stand against all forms of prejudice, not just the ones that directly affect us.

    first all of greetings to you guys out respect. You are referring to Africans as " these people " , as if you are different from rest of Africans, fact is you are much different from any white South African than you are from a Nigerian. And if you think " these people " as you calling us are being ignorant but you are the ones who don't have all the facts. A little research will help you. If you go to Europe or to USA that is where you will understand that a white South African is white and a black south African is just an another balck african as a black a Nigerian. And for your own info that Miss SA finalist is more of a south African than Trevor Noah. So don't look down at other black people because for your info even the reserve bank in South Africa is owned by white people mostly probably foreigners. And there is no white country that help Umkhoto Uwesizwe to fight apartheid. And there is no white person who colonized your grandparents legally.

    • @Unknown-individual
      @Unknown-individual 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      1. Trevor Noah is just as african as Mia.
      2. When they say these people they don't mean it in a malicious way. They are saying it so they don't have to name the individual countries they were going against because it wasn't only Nigerians.
      3. Africans are not a monolith. We are very different from each other simply based on our cultural diversity; socio economic issues; views on life; etc. Nigerians are not the same as Zimbabweans; Namibians are not the the same as Malawians; Ghanaian and Zambians are very different. Just because we share the same skin colour and continent doesn't mean we can all just get along like one big happy family. We can clearly tell you don't know the history and racial dynamics of South Africa so having this arguement with you is pointless until you education yourself on such topics but overall your arguement is based on a false premise that no white country assisted South Africa during apartheid. The soviet union is filled with Caucasians. The USA passed trading sanctions against South Africa along with 23 other countries

    • @jeanledivin94
      @jeanledivin94 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@Unknown-individual 1. Trevor is just as African as Mia ? Or you mean as South African as Mia ? And Yet not as south African as the Miss SA girl ( the one with a Nagerian father ) ? Does this mean because her father is Nigerian it makes her more foreigner than Trevor and Mia ? From all I know her mother is some sort of a South African with some alleged ID theft. And by Miss SA girl I was referring to the black girl not the white one.
      2. You might think you have all facts about your country's history but you only have what the media and a few white people told you and what you wanted to believe. :
      The USA never helped you to free you from apartheid, they wanted a free South Africa to get access to the mineral resources, fact is at that time in USA racial segregation was still very strong so if you think the USA as a country helped you because they felt compassion for the black South African, think twice.
      As for the Soviet Union as you call them, until today Russians are known as one of the most racist people in Europe, and before you pretend to educate me about geopolitics and history, I know Russia doesn't see itself as part of Europe.
      And if you speak about African being culturally diverse, I guess tribes within South Africa are also diverse but what did put you in the same port during apartheid was the skin colour not your culture. When a white man looks at us he sees colour and that where my argument was.
      So I guess when it comes to educating someone try to get logical thinking right first....Because in this case is not about EDUCATION it is all about common sense.

    • @Unknown-individual
      @Unknown-individual 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      @@jeanledivin94 1. I realise the only reason you won't understand why we regard Trevor Noah; Mia;etc as more South African than chidimma runs deeper than skin colour and has more to do with the history of South Africa. You are applying the history of Nigeria to a South African issue which just won't make sense for both of us. We are not the same. We don't think the same. We don't have the same beliefs nor background. The only thing we share is skin colour and a continent. That's doesn't mean we are brothers but rather neighbors.
      2. The US and RSA had a trade agreement prior to the sanctions. Also I said 23 other countries were a part of the sanctions on south africa as well. It wasn't just the US alone. I don't disagree that racial segregation in the US existed during that period. I'm sure it still exists even now. The argument however that the US was helping RSA because they wanted access to our resources can easily be debunked by coming to the realisation they already had access to South Africans resources by already having a tradw agreement with RSA.
      3. The Soviet Union might've oppressed marginalized groups in their own nation however it doesn't change the fact that they stepped in to assist South Africans during the apartheid oppression. Whether it was for selfish reasons or not at end if the day they helped us during a time of need.
      Again unless you learn the history of this country, you will always unknowingly take a stance of ignorance whenever you try and argue against South Africans about South Africa. Same way South Africans take a stance of ignorance whenever they arguement about Nigeria to nigerians. We both lack the historical context to understand why we both act and see the world a certain way.

      Tell me why the curves and colors of 90% of SA's women don't come through in the choice of our beauty queen...from Limpopo to the Western Cape. Is it factual that none of the 90% women of color had the beauty and wit to represent us at the world stage? Are we as SAs that amazingly progressive or we are conditioned to tolerate and respect...even fear anything white? Say for instance a white government minister, a white boss at work...we consider them superior or more effective and we work harder under their supervision. • @SibuAndSphe
      @SibuAndSphe  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      It’s not that deep, we not being conditioned into anything. The actual beauty standard in society is that of a black women. Women are chasing curves and proportions of a black women going as far as to doing surgeries to get a black women’s body. Beauty pageants have always had this standard of what model should be it just hasn’t changed and it’s the standard like that all over the world. What you asking is like asking why fat men can’t compete in body building. If people want to they can create their own pageants for curvy or bigger women with own their own rules like how they doing in America and if it catches on and does better than the current pageant it may replace the current pageant. If you still fear white people in 2024 then I don’t know what to tell you.

      Let me ask you this... When Barack Obama became president did white people actually think black people are better than them in America? It's just such a weird mindset to have. We live in a multi racial society where our main issue is racial inequality. Other than that there's no weird inferiority complex especially with people born after 1994. white people are just people who are also apart of our society who we grow up with and work with and relationships with nobody cares if white person wins just like no one would care if black or Indian or coloured would win it.

    • @Tomchikichi
      @Tomchikichi 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @SibuAndSphe That's Amerika the context is different its a country built on genocide and slavery so all those black people that are there are there by either choice or slavery and it's effects. But y'all existed before any of those white folk that through extreme means subjugated you and all your ancestors in the worst way possible I'd say worse than us in EA
      There were genocides of entire tribes to make a point that wasn't true. That white people were better than you who existed in this land with might of Shaka Cetswayo and others . We study about it in our history at school and we feel really sad but God gave y'all a giant of a man Mandela that saw beyond all that and said we're better than the murderous white folk which Amin wouldn't. I mean which other person can forgive his oppressor which such magnanimity only Mandela. But it's different from giving that same person that oppressed you the same opportunity to do it again in a now "legit" way cos y'all are now all southafrican but who is really African. You who were here from antiquity and we understand when you speak your mother tongue or white Afrikaners that still feel they are better than you in your own country

      @SibuAndSphe  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If you understand Mandela and what he stood for then it shouldn't be difficult for you to understand why South Africa is the way that it is now. Mandela wanted a non racial South Africa where all are equal, not black dominance or whatever form racism a lot of other African countries have adopted. He wanted everyone to be equal under the law and get equal opportunities. Unfortunately the ANC have done a bad job providing people with equal opportunities in the time they had power but our society is built on that. South Africans born after 94 grew up with white people we are all mostly the same there is no fear of them oppressing us again.There is still some racism that needs to be sorted but our society is getting to a point those things are being worked out. White people don't shock us like they do to the rest of Africa that's why it doesn't even matter that miss SA is white and we don't think they are better because of it. It's why SA is one of the more thriving nations in Africa and tends to do well in the world stage is because we understand the power our diversity brings and over time once we sort out political issues and get a proper government that can unite people like how Mandela once did SA will become the best country in the world.

      What I hoped is you'd address the inequalities of the past to create equity in this rainbow nation you have
      The past inequalities still persist. Am no Saint over here in uganda we have issues with white guys who were telling us that we were messing up our economy but when they had it they used it to line their pockets with gold so we pushed them out and we run it ourselves. If we mess up we are accountable with ourselves and we sort it. I like you guys you're willing to listen I subscribed. I hope you see what am saying

      @SibuAndSphe  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There is a big misconception about the land stats that people see about SA. Those stats were it says whites have over 70% of the land refers to agricultural land or farm land. The state owns most of the land in SA and it's distributing accordingly. Black people own land particularly in the rural areas black people own lots of land provinces like KZN, Limpopo, and Eastern cape most of the land in those places are owned by black people. one big reason why South Africans are not mass migrating out of the country and South Africa has the most immigrants migrating to the country is because the infrastructure is good, besides the land South Africans have a good standard of living even if you in poverty you will get decent health care, decent transportation, decent living conditions. The middle class are living just as good most white people and we have the most black millionaires on the continent, black people are doing better than you think. The government is failing the majority of black people which is our fault it's not the fault of white people. Blacks have been in power for 30 years and have done nothing to reverse the inequality caused by apartheid. If you black and you fortunate enough to grow up in a good family you will have the same opportunities as a white person well almost the same opportunities. Most of the issues majority of black South Africans face is because of the poor ANC government failing to liberate them and not white people.
