This video brings back some good memories. I remember getting all the crafts and Tracy Island for Christmas back in 2002. I loved it them so much I did open anything else that day
Had no idea these were sold. Wonderful Thunderbird models. Interesting to see underneath Thunderbird 2 the number 2.....To this day, there is no other show like this.
I'll never forget finding a dumped Thunderbird 2 in the dolls section of my local Toys R Us when buying a birthday present and to me this was like the holy grail! Of course I had to buy it! It was meant to be! These toys became rare as soon as the series took off so I was very lucky!
Well done review! As far as the sound effects from the various craft, I would have preferred engine sounds rather than just voices, at least for Thunderbirds 1, 2, and 3. Also, the Tracy Island Playset should have had something electronic that would have raised up beneath those three Thunderbirds to give the appearance of actual takeoff. In addition, those three models could have used some interior lights that projected beams to simulate rocket trusters. Anyway, all of this was a better playset for an action-oriented kid (or adult) to have because it represented what was Gerry and Sylvia Anderson's crowning achievement - a more credible series featuring a select group of individuals helping other people in unique and innovative ways! :-)
Thanks so much! The toys would have been nice to have come with some lights. I believe the 2nd release of this playset had electronic launches with motorised launch pads but that's quite a rare find as they would usually break. I am looking to review some more Gerry Anderson toys in the new year! 😊
FAB accompanying video Joe Minor quibble but I'm surprised they didn't hide the button for FAB1 on the grill at the front because like the red buttons on TB2, it looks a little out of place at the back BTW, does the docking bay for Thunderbird 5 open so you can recreate the Thinderbird 3 docking sequence & Do you own any other Pod vehicles?
Thank you! Yeah It's a shame a few of the buttons are a bit distracting as the toy models are really well made! Sadly Thunderbird 5 Is just solid plastic at the docking section so you can't really dock Thunderbird 3 with it. I only have 2 Moles and 2 Matchbox Thunderbird 4s at the moment but I'm looking for more to add to my collection so hopefully I can find some more pod vehicles at a reasonable price! 😊
