I'm doing my 4th cruise on Paradise this year, and it is a 3 night one. I love this ship. If you didn't read, that's on you. I've never waited for more than 10 min for Valet. I always get the License to chill package when I sail with them, 15 min to the ship. Only way to do it. Unless you are VIP, no lines to wait in! There are 2 in ocean view rooms, I can't remember excatly where it was. Not all don't have fridges. I've never had a room without a fridge. I don't eat buffets, so I have nothing for that. The rest of the food I've had on board was great and the steak house is the best I've had at sea and the Islander is even better. The pizza is also some of the best pizza I've ever had. I completely agree with you on the drink package deal, especially now that they are doing 3 and 4 night cruises. Like I said though, we do LIC which includes the 10 drinks. I usually do buckets of beers and we share the 10 drinks. I don't use the internet usually anyway, but it comes with the LIC, so... Plus I book the Hero's package, which includes it also. I see you called it pay to play, and it is obvioully worth it! You left out the 150 in spa credit, the bottomless brunch, the 2 coffee drinks and pastries, the free gift from the gift shop. In freeport, there is a resturant right off the ship, it has really good food and you can feed the sharks. Also, the mini donuts are awesome. We have walked to carnavel port in the past, but it isn't open if no other ships are in port. Keep in mind, this used to be a shuttle ship. There are some great resorts that are 20 mins away. I get your view, but it is less expensive for me, then going to Orlando. I hate carnival and again, they are doing 3 and 4 nights now. Sorry for the complete response to your video, but I love MAS. I am able to do 5 cruises in a year because of the cheap cost of MAS. The Islander is awesome!! MAS is going to be a big challanger to the cruise world over the next few years. Good video.
I'm glad I got to experience this ship through your videos and with your review here. I've cruised a lot and I was very curious about the experience with Margaritaville, especially since my girlfriend loves the brand. Sucks to see there's so much nickel and diming on this ship. You'd think with such a short itinerary there'd be some sort of unlimited drinks package instead of the ones that are a set limit. I look forward to when you eventually go on the Islander! It seems more modern which is always a step in the right direction. The Paradise could use some TLC and some upgrading before I consider going on it.
Thanks for watching! It was definitely an experience and glad I went on it so I no longer have to wonder, but I feel that there are better valued cruises. The Islander looks to be comparable to a Carnival/ Royal Caribbean cruise and I am excited to take advantage of their promotions, plus it is only about an hour from me at Tampa.
I agree it is not worth the money. Amoung all the issues I had, listening to you I now know I was lied to about valet parking for disabled vets. I asked as I got on the property and I pointed to the area because I did park there years ago on one of my more than 6 (pre-margaritaville ) cruises. They lied. Oh yeah, I'm so freaking done with this line, also, as it is margaritaville I will not set foot on it again. Too many tricks. I was loyal to this lil cruise and always convinced most of my friends and family who came to Florida to visit me to take a quick cruise. But it's changed for the bad. I'll wait for another management change. I've been on many cruises, and I have to say this was the most disappointing annoying cruise I've ever taken. AND YEAH THE FOOD SUCKED TOO. ONLY THE HAMBURGERS WAS WORTH SWALLOWING. Trust me when I tell you every meal was awful. 😢
The first person I asked about the disabled parking also told me that it wasn't available, but then when I was waiting for the valet parking, someone came up behind my vehicle and told me that they did honor the disabled veteran parking. I didn't realize that another line actually ran a cruise out of Port of Palms. Was it the same ship, too?
So, the "inexpensive" fare is essentially a grift. Between the fuel charge,gratuities, port fees, etc., none of which are included in the fare, you're paying the same amount of money you would for another line with better ships and ports. SMH
Yes. It sounds good on paper, but I would look at comparable 3 day cruises from the major lines and the price will be within $100 or so. The fuel charge for some reason really upset me.
Maybe. But they bought a cruise that was already operating and just rebranded it. To be fair, I haven't been on their new ship out of Tampa but that is in my plans for the upcoming year. I have heard that is a better cruise.

I believe in general no matter what state you are from, if you have a DV license plate you park free in cruise ports handicapped parking.
