One thing about red velvet is that they never repeat the same concept so it's kind of hard to find another song similar to another however what makes their albums so good is that the songs on the albums are cohesive yet sound nothing alike. The cosmic album has bsides that share that magical spacey vibe and same goes for other albums like chill kill has a dark and mysterious type of vibe going and the feel my rhythm album has a fairytale/ballerina type of sound while still including different kinds of music genres!
If you like B-Sides you are in for a treat because Red Velvet is the queen of B-Sides. Here are some of my favorite B-Sides for each of their albums, but really you can't go wrong with any of their songs because they are all excellent. Ice Cream Cake: Candy The Red: Red Dress, Oh Boy, Time Slip, Cool World The Velvet: Cool Hot Sweet Love, Light me Up Russian Roulette: Some Love Rookie: Body Talk, Little Little The Red Summer: You Better Know, Mojito Perfect Red Velvet: Look, I Just, Kingdom Come, Perfect 10, Time to Love Summer Magic: Mosquito, Hit that Drum, Mr. E, Blue Lemonade RBB: Butterflies, So Good Reve Festival Day 1: Sunny Side Up!, Milkshake Reve Festival Day 2: Eyes Locked Hands Locked Reve Festival Finale: In & Out Queendom: Pushin N Pullin, Pose, Hello Sunset Reve Festival - Feel My Rhythm: Beg for Me, Baboleo, In my Dreams Reve Festival - Birthday: Bye Bye, On a Ride, ZOOM, Celebrate Chill Kill: Underwater, Nightmare, One Kiss, Wings Cosmic: Night Drive
yay, more red velvet!!! 7:17 :yes, that's yeri!! about cosmic: the mv actually is inspired by the horror cult movie midsommar!! if you've watched the movie you know how weird the whole thing is lol but even without having seen it, you can also feel the creepiness when watching this (rv is never beating the cult allegations lmao). they made an appereance on "its live" for their cosmic comeback and it's pretty good 16:18 :actually yes!! that's what i love about them. they have been around for 10 years now and have never changed their sound to match what is popular at the time, they have remained very true to their music since the beginning i'm actually so glad you chose these songs/mv's, cause they are very diverse and perfect to showcase how versatile rv is!! i've recommended a few mvs on the last vid, so for now i'll only recommend feel my rhythm and wildside (japanese release). the mvs were released one week apart and showcase their range perfectly. as for b-sides, i recommend sunflower from their latest album and knock knock (who's there?) that was released last year (there is no mv for those) loved the video as always!! >
Under this comment I would suggest looking at random K’s line distribution/ lyrics so you know what members are singing since they’re always accurate about adlibs and things.
Honestly, Red Velvet has their own charm and sound that makes them stand out. Some of their title tracks might not be everybody’s preference or taste of music. But that’s okay, you never know what kind of concept and music genre they will release next. A lot of people love their RED side and others adore their VELVET side and there’s others who love the songs that are both RED and VELVET. But man their b-sides are really amazing..if not just as amazing as the title tracks. I’m excited for you to continue on your deep dive into Red Velvet! I love how you already appreciate what each member brings into the group. They are all great and talented individually, but the charm and power is when they sing together in unison or in harmony. That’s the Red Velvet magic right there! Ohh and yeah there’s A LOT of Red Velvet lore..like they are witches and how all their MVs/concept is connected to each other as well as the SM universe/world? Where all SM artists concepts or world is connected to each other in some crazy way.
For title track - Psycho, Feel My Rhythm are some of the recent one. They have a ton of great Bside. Some of my favorites are: Night Drive, Perfect 10, Underwater, Kingdom Come, Ladies Night, Zoom, You Better Know, Automatic.
Automatic, Kingdom Come, I, Just, One of These Nights, Zoom, and just about everything else. These ladies have not only god teir vocals, but they have solo albums. Wendy has 2 albums, Seulgi and Joy have one, Irene has one coming out in Q4 of '24. Yeri has some some singles, but not a proper album (yet).
Noooo Gingerbread man has to be sad because he said they couldn't come in to the birthday party!!! hahahaha :D But! I'm so happy seeing you enjoy Red Velvet so much!!!!! And yesssss - Red Velvet does noooot go with a trend, they are if anything they are ones that kind of tend to be first on a direction that you will see some other groups following some time later. It's Live of Cosmic is super great, they have some wonderful Live Fanmeeting type contents where it's Red Velvet seated and singing basically, so great. I kind of think of Cosmic as somewhat going along with some other songs although it's still new of course - but on the album with the title track of Feel My Rhythm, there is a b-side called Bamboleo that has something similar about it, I would also recommend from Seulgi's solo album Anywhere But Home, another bside from Red Velvet discography that has the sort of Disco element is Ladies Night (also one they have sing live at one of those things I mentioned before), they have some other songs with sort of dreamy elements that are similar in feel to Cosmic but of course, Red Velvet is always bringing something new... but I would say some that I think of as being kind of vibey/dreamy: Will I Ever See You Again Iced Coffee (both from Chill Kill album - not as bright sounding) Butterflies (bright, more uptempo but a kind of light sparkly feel to it that makes me think of Cosmic fluttery vibes) Little Little (chill, sweet vibey) Body Talk (just a whole mood) Nothing that kind of combines to make the combo of Cosmic, but Cosmic still feels so at home in Red Velvet discography what with the killer vocals and various elements that we have heard here and there in different combinations before. I will also say - the entire Cosmic album is SO COHESIVE, it has such a fantastic feeling to it and is great to listen to in album order and just live in that feeling for a while.
I'm not sure if you'd want more comeback stages as their live performance, or them being on shows singing covers and acoustic. but I will ALWAYS recommend Wendy, Seulgi, and Joy covering 'Goodbye' on Immortal Songs 2. They were rookies belting their little hearts out! --They did the Live Band performance of Cosmic which sounded amazing --They also have a few small live performances they did in front of fans on their youtube channel (Psycho, Remember Forever, Time to Love, Celebrate) --If you wanted more of a concert setting usually anything from SMTOWN concerts like smcu palace and sm town in japan or jakarta are pretty good to find high-quality recordings of on TH-cam outside of the general fancam from their concerts and recent fancon (id recommend psycho, feel my rhythm, and wildside from these sm concerts!) --Wendy, Seulgi, and Joy also appeared on the masked singer if you would want to hear individual live performances. --Anything on Yu Huiyeols sketchbook is great and the whole group and a few individual covers One thing that stands out the most with RV compared to other groups is that they are known for having the heavily layered group harmony in the chorus! not that other groups don't do it, but it is seemingly starting to become rare that you can hear all members vocals. A lot of reactors slowly point it out the more they react to songs and start to really understand their vibes and can compare them to other groups they like! in generally id say the most comparable new gen kpop groups that give off similar vibes as Red Velvet would be Stayc or NMIXX. BUT they're just still so new i hope they get to explore more music sounds as they grow as groups!
I love Red Velvet so much so much! The harmonisation of there voices are amazing. The songs from the start up till now are just as good! Some favorites b- sides of mine are: HuffnPuff, Mosquito, Sunny side up,In my dreams, Iced coffee, Los Angeles (Seulgi solo) I’m happy that RV is still here and give this wonderful Music.
10 years in the game and still bringing something new, fun and unique Cosmic is that song!! If you want to check out some live content they sang Cosmic with live band on it's Live channel feel free to check it out I would also recommend that you react to my favorite album from them 'Queendom', every song on that album is top tier you won't regret it
Lol... you spent this entire video looking like you were trying to decipher Chinese Algebra. That happens with RV a lot. Someone once described their music and videos as "sophisticated chaos."
th-cam.com/video/h3zLwp3NzYI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=S76HDTa2WaZOJ2_9 This is a older b side they did live last year, really nice song. Their last few albums have been fantastic
Please accept this humble advice, because I really like your reactions. Two things that will make me your diehard fan: 1. Don't overemphasize mainstream groups. Nearly every reactor does Blackpink, aespa, Twice, New Jeans, etc. There is nothing wrong with those groups, and if you don't react to them, you will have no subscribers, but just remember, every mainstream song you react to, you are competing with 100+ other reaction videos. Don't be afraid to pepper your picks with nugu groups. There will be subscribers you will never get, and you will be cheating yourself out of some amazing and creative content. Examples would be Purple Kiss, Billlie, Mimiirose, STAYC, Apink and CSR, among many. 2. I'm begging you to do a retro day, like Throwback Thursdays, where you feature music of second or third gen groups who are long disbanded, like Girl's Day, T-ara, Hello Venus, AOA, Laboum, After School, and many more. It would be fun and unique content for both you and your subscribers. Let me know if you need retro recommendations, I have been a Kpop fan since 2009.
Thank you for being constructive! I have been heavily in the thought process on restructuring my YT and this is some pretty sound advice and suggestions! BTW I adore CSR!
At the very beginning you said, "I'd kill for some pizza." I cracked up. because I already knew what the video was about! LOL!
Many will try and cover Red Velvet but there is only one iconic group that can pull off the amazement. Red Velvet.
One thing about red velvet is that they never repeat the same concept so it's kind of hard to find another song similar to another however what makes their albums so good is that the songs on the albums are cohesive yet sound nothing alike. Very true
I love how you explain it ❤ so on point 👏
Can’t wait for you to hear their B-sides, you will be shocked
If you like B-Sides you are in for a treat because Red Velvet is the queen of B-Sides. Here are some of my favorite B-Sides for each of their albums, but really you can't go wrong with any of their songs because they are all excellent.
Ice Cream Cake: Candy
The Red: Red Dress, Oh Boy, Time Slip, Cool World

yes
"i'd kill for some pizza"....well.. they did.
I love red velvet so muchhh
You will pass out with red velvet's b-side. They are sooo good!
So true!! I was not the biggest fan of b-sides on the Cosmic album but Chill Kill b-sides were heavenly
Psycho is Red Velvet's masterpiece, one of the greatest songs and videos in Kpop. Have you reacted to that one?
Noooo Gingerbread man has to be sad because he said they couldn't come in to the birthday party!!! hahahaha :D

You know, I really love "sophisticated chaos."

I'm glad to see Gingy found work after the Shrek movies
Hard to tell if you're reacting to their mv or infatuated w yourself being onscreen? Your channel, your choice but very distracting.
then don't watch 🙄
Psycho, Feel my rhythm and chill kill are also some of my favorite titke tracks from them alongside cosmic
