Congratulations to the winners!!! 🎉🥳 I haven't seen We Live In Time, so I will see the trailer first. I'm sure that I will see this movie. Thanks for the video!
Grace is exactly right. Grief is nonlinear. I lost my mom in 2022 and grief hits in waves and when I least expect. I usually think of memories of her and my time with her everywhere from when I was a child to the last time I FaceTimed her before she left us abruptly that spring morning. I know I need to watch We Live In Time eventually. The trailer alone left me in tears. It used to be easier to watch that heavy stuff. I love A24 btw. I’m an AAA24 founder member and the benefits are amazing for that so I’ve been getting my releases through them. Also they package their films with care and you usually get a nice postcard with purchases. You also get movie tickets, $5 credit each month and a birthday gift (which can be one of their movies or script books). The membership pays for itself eventually so it’s worth it.
I’m so sorry to hear that.. It really makes me cherish every moment I get with the people I love... So thankful to be able to connect with you guys and have different interpretations of these films!
@@gracemartinez18thank you and yes, savoring those moments of time with your loved ones is so necessary. Time can feel like an enemy because we never feel like we have enough of it to spend with our loved ones. So the best we can do is let them know we love them and often. ❤ I love this channel by the way. You both are so genuine in your love of movies!! Thanks for sharing this passion with us. 😀
9:30 damn we live in time didn't really click for me either till you shared that story, like I liked it a lot especially the performances but damn I get the non linear structure now, thank you
Always grateful for different perspectives! Film truly is art, so sometime it just take looking at it through a different lenses to fully appreciate it! ❤
Congrats to the winners. I'm also fascinated by "I Saw The TV Glow" & "Love Lies Bleeding". Those A24 releases do look quite spiffy. Also, it's nice to see a larger Arrow Video presence.
Wow your Barnes and Nobles has so much physical media! I’m going tomorrow to see if they have any physical media. So far I’ve only found at my thrift stores. Awesome video and a new follower. Looking forward in watching all your videos! -Rico
I can definitely recommend “Fear is the Key.” Saw it first on The Criterion Channel, picked up the deluxe Arrow disc and love it. The last 15-20 minutes are some of the most tense I’ve ever seen in a thriller. So great.
Congratulations to the winners! I signed up for AAA24 a few months ago and decided to pick up We Live in Time, Loves Lies Bleeding, & Zone of Interest. Last two will be in 4k. Really stoked to be getting those in the mail soon, since I don't have a Barnes and Noble near me.
A24 may be in SOME stores. Went to my closest B&N today to pick up Demilition Man, the Arrow section was now literally 18" wide on one shelf, what a disaster. They always pretty full Section dedicated to Criterion was now reduced from 6 shelves to 4. This is not looking good. I have a couple of other store locations that are farther away, but much better selections so I'm hoping they'll be finding place for A24 there. But I guess store by store they get to make some decisions about what they are carrying. These are the larger B&N's, we have a few of their smaller storefronts (maybe old Walden books locations), generally have nothing or maybe a handful of media.
If you liked Past Lives & We Live In Time then I'd recommend Touch which is a film I really liked released this year that doesn't get much recognition. I liked more more than those aforementioned two actually.
Love Lies Bleeding and I Saw The TV Glow are my two favorite movies of the year! For Grace, Love Lies Bleeding definitely has some gore but it's not The Substance levels of gore / body horror by any means. There's one particularly gory part about 1/3-ish of the way through that had us jumping in our seats in the theater and I'd say it was the "worst" part in regards to gore. Once you're past that relatively quick moment it's not bad gore-wise (though there is some general violence / blood)!
I gave We Live in Time 4 stars until a guy on Discord started bashing the movie and pointing out all the inconsistencies and dumb things Tobias did like when he hit both of each cars trying to get out of his parallel parking spot instead of walking or taking the bus. I dropped it down to 2 stars and no longer care to watch it again.

Loves lies bleeding is a bit bloody at times but it’s still really good, I just got the a24 version a few weeks back
I was pleasantly shocked with how much I loved that one. What a thrill ride.
Gosh that Barnes and noble is incredible. There’s sooo much stuff!
Love Lies Bleeding is awesome. ❤

Heretic is fantastic. Loved We Live in Time & Aftersun. A24 Films are hitting lately.

The only A24 release I have is 'Stop Making Sense'....it's a good one 😀👍
Is that a movie or a concert video/movie
@@StudiosH2343it's a concert movie, I believe.
@@StudiosH2343 It's a concert video

American Gigolo on 4K from Arrow is one of my favorite releases of 2024. Such a great set, great soundtrack, great film!
Just throwing it out there, Love Lies Bleeding (along with All of Us Strangers), was my favorite movie last year. Highly recommended.
Just found this channel, It's so relaxing! I love already.

I grabbed Arrow's 'The Shootist' and 'The Tin Star'... blind buys but I hear they are very good films.
Congratulations to the winners!

I’ve been wanting that Stop Making Sense from A24. Sigh.
You should pick up the shootist while it's on sale my wife's favorite scene was the sound of the fan at the end

So good. I’m still waiting for B&N to start sponsoring you guys.
great pick ups guys i'm also in the atl area - right now BNN is our only saving grace for physical media in stores.

@@NoirFan84 adding it to my list! ✅
@gracemartinez18 I think you'll enjoy it. 👍🙂
I didn't know Aftersun had one of those kinds of releases! Going to B&N soon!
Damn your Barnes and Nobles is stacked
"The Shootist" is a Don Siegel movie. I've been considering watching it again for a while, it's the Duke's last feature I think.
It’s kinda weird in my opinion that it already out on Blu-ray in America and it only just came out on New Year’s Day in the uk
Hey awesome!!!
Damn!!!!! That B&N is stacked!!!!! Unfortunately the ones by me the movie section have disappeared almost completely
Also, it's half off Arrow time again! 😁
Love Lies Bleeding and I Saw The TV Glow are my two favorite movies of the year!

Thank you for this! I’ll just close my eyes and tell DJ to tell me when it’s over!
I could only watch half of the movie, “I Saw The Tv Glow.”
It was soooooo boring and the acting was bad.
But you might like it.

Can't stand those anti-theft stickers when they're applied directly to the slipcovers. 50-50 chance you can get them off without causing damage.
I think there’s some body-horror elements and heavy violence in Love Lies Bleeding. That being said it’s one of my favorites of last year! 🩸 ❤
