She doesn't really get 'many' lines in any of the songs on their album though... her amt of vocals is either nonexistent or fine. Fans literally see her SO little that we're complimenting her on her posture lol.
I love y'all LOONA, but people are mad for a LOT of reasons, and even fans who originally didn't focus much on Haseul in the group are getting ticked off by her treatment, and it's bad if it's starting to be the main thing that so many fans notice and comment on in each new LOONA vid. BBC screwed up in this.
And seriously same with Hyunjin too, poor talented baby.....

randomsheep11 That's a very big misunderstanding that's spreading like the plague. The 3 leaders belong to each subunit, the groups can have only one leader. Haseul must've said it cuz it was obvious that she was drifting away from the position and wanted to avoid an embarrassing conversation

I think every group works really hard, & i truly appreciate their hard works. but in my opinion i think loona brings something new to the table, i think it's very smart to be debuting every member as a soloist then debut them fully as a whole. so yeah this is just my opinion on why they truly deserve rookie award.
I love Loona (I am a fan since the first girl is introduced) but I think Gidle will get the rookie award.

Judie Hopper theyre the leader of their respective subunits, so it makes sense. I feel like Kim Lip and Yves are like co-vice leaders of the whole group

Haseul DOESN'T deserve this. She's the main vocalist, and she doesn't get any lines AT ALL. She doesn't get any screentime either, and now, as a leader, she doesn't get to represent her group.
I'm so disappointed at this point with BBC, are you after the standards? And if the company sees it, probably not, treat EVERY member right, with lines and screentime. Haseul didn't wait almost 2 years for this.
Leader doesn't always mean: alot screen time, lines or other....Look at Jihyun from 4Minute she was leader too..and get just one lines in most songs, and she wasn't center in screen time....Probably Haseul is Leader for other things for Loona( some kind of "mom")
KallenSC she didn’t get a lot of lines because she wasn’t a main vocal. Haseul is. Jihyun did not get center time because she was not the center, Hyuna was.
That why she is just one of the Leaders...Main Vocals are Heejin, Kim Lip and few others...stop complain! Haseul was mian vocal when 1/3 was reveal ...later when more big vocals become a Loona, she just of one vocalist...1 from12:P
I thought Haseul was only the main vocal during 1/3.... as a group her voice isnt as strong as "main vocal" position so...... Chuu Kimlip and Heejin are the most stand out for their strong vocals now as the groups combined.....

honestly I’m praying that it’s just because it’s debut and they’re trying to make a name for themselves since they come from a small company. Because if they keep this up they will not last as 12 for even 2 years. These days idols aren’t really putting up with companies not treating them right (and I love that)
yeah, I hope they end up being like seventeen, who gives specific members who didn't get the spotlight a lot before a time to shine each comeback
Rochelle Reeid late reply but bcuz it's their debut it's even more crucial timing to make impression. bcuz of how she's treated, i've seen many new fans comments on yt saying they don't even know there's a member named haseul. that's how bad it is. just bcuz you don't care that much for her doesn't mean others shouldn't too.

At this point I'm making up assumptions in my head like Haseul's voice needs rest or something because that's the only reason why I'm able to understand why she would get such few lines in their songs and chances to speak. Otherwise it doesn't make sense and even if she's a quiet person (I am too) that still doesn't explain why she barely got the chance to shine with her vocals in ot12's songs

So, there's yyxy at the front since they were the last unit to promote and the two most popular members of each unit. Though I understand what BBC is doing, I think Haseul should be at the front so the 3 leaders (Haseul, Kim Lip and Yves) would be at the front row.
Also, yeah, they seem very bored/tired.
jinsoul is more popular than kim lip.
Jinsoul is far more popular than kimlip and they didnt explain exactly why their formation is like that (u can guess some things like vivi being near haseul to help her with korean chuu and yves being together for the chuuves couple heejin in the middle because shes super popular right now and most likely the groups center) but its p much how the formation is like and they probably preferred to keep the line with the center and two members who speak well (yves and kimlip) in the forefront or maybe thats just how they split the formation into two (the album comes with a pic of them sitting like this so)
Hyunjin and Jinsoul are BFFs so is Choerry and Yeojin. Vivi is closest with Haseul. Gowon and Olivia are also close. Of course Chuuves. I think the pairs sitting with each other are usually close.
It's sad that BBC is overshadowing Haseul so much...

Look guys, the problem is that haseul is considered a main vocal and leader but she is not treated like a main vocal but a sub vocal and is like she does not have time to shine.
Yes, she has lots of lines in b sides.But let's be honest, not everyone listens to b sides and (it is mostly the fans?) At the end of the day, it seems like the main single is what people perceive of the group and members
You could say that she will receive lines in like loona the ballad and other singles but the debut is the one of the most important components in a group's career and with debut, you get the popular members. I am worried that if it continues, only popular members will get lines and the rest are like backup vocals and dancers.
This is because bbc will only push the popular members as they make the group more popular, thus they get almost all the lines and get more time to shine as they rake in money. So if bbc recognises these as popular members, they will push them and in the end it will become wjsn
You can't say that because is debut, it is OKAY for haseul to get SUB lines. No! Vivi and Hyunjin are visuals, so they can get less lines as they do not have enough vocal skill(that doesn't mean bbc can neglect them!) but haseul has vocal ability, I mean she trained in opera right?

Apparently the BBC really took HaSeul as the leader of the whole group. This is very sad because the company had already disclosed her as a leader, everyone saw that it was better to play this role for Loona Tv (so much so that it earned the nickname "mother" of the group). I'm here to support the group, the debut is being wonderful, but the BBC has failed in that. :(

Réveny e etc This was the case for predebut. Haseul was appointed the Leader of Loona during their predebut era. A lot can change when a group finally debuts, members leave, song & concept change, literally anything. In Loonas case, BBC decided to split the Leader Role and give it to Kim Lip, Haseul and Yves. We don't know the reason or anything more to it. Loona Fighting, I'm pretty sure the Company acts in the Members best interest and nothing less, the members are very grateful to be in Loona and in BBC.
I think it's fine that the leader role is split between the leaders of each unit.
I understand that there have been changes, but it does not make sense for the BBC to announce to HaSeul as group leader in the pre debut, sorry. They could at least inform about the change for the fans because a lot of people are confused. I know the BBC is a company that offers the best support for the members, but on that question it has failed.
I hope it's not because of her audition in mix9. She doesn't deserve this :'(

I think that this interview really reflects how LOONA feels, im a new orbit and i have watched all of their MV so far and the fact that their agency gave them 1 song each is one of the best concept ever. This interview was really serious, interesting yet had some humour and the members did a good job in giving the questions to other members so that even shy members could talk to. They also observed the fact that most of the LOONA fans are internal fans and they did not left us out like some groups do and im really grateful of that, the management of that group is just crazily brilliant and im going to do my best into stanning them so they wont flop. (But please Orbits stop spaming with "stan loona" when its unrelated to them)

I’m so glad to see a Loona interview! And for the record, Orbits, in Kpop, leader does NOT equal spokesperson. Leaders are chosen to deal with behind the scenes responsibilities and work as a liaison between the CEO/company and the members. Just because someone is a good leader behind the scenes does not always mean they’re the best spokesperson for interviews.
Yes, there is a difference between leader and face of the group, for example in red velvet the spokeperson is mostly seulgi imo but irene is the leader
