My 14 year old Yorkie is a medical nightmare. The Vet told me he’s surprised she’s still alive, but said it’s because I was such a good MOM. I was thrilled, I’m finally a real Mom at 72. Sleepless nights, lots of meds, and daily buggy rides. Poms sounds like my dog with enlarged heart, congestive heart failure, and collapsing trachea. An inhaler and heart meds will help him, Lee. MUCH LOVE AND BLISS TO ALL OF YOU!
Congratulations to you for being such a wonderful mom to your fur baby! They're so adorable when they are puppies, but too many people forget having a pet should be a lifetime relationship. Wishing you and your Yorkie many more buggy rides.

My Yorkie had CHF and her trachea was a bit narrow. First sign of a problem (bad coughing spell) and she saw the vet and got an echocardiogram the next day and started on 2 meds. She lived over 2.5 years on treatment (many more meds by the end). I was her mom for sure. After more than a year without her, my heart was finally open to a little rescue Biewer terrier we got 5 months ago (she was about 18 months old at the time and very undersocialized). She's got chronic anxiety when leaving the house and was neglected in so many ways, but she is the sweetest little thing. She is finally getting professionally groomed tomorrow (my Yorkie's groomer). It took tweaking her anxiety meds twice (and she will still be a handful for the groomer) and 5 months to settle in. We did a meet & greet yesterday so at least it won't be her first time there. I'm looking forward to helping her slowly get exposed to fun and more places and people. She's in for the rest of her lifetime filled with love and attention. The little Yorkies & Biewers make such good companions! Love to your little one!

I had rescued a 12 year-old terrier, with no teeth, arthritis and other health issues. I rescued her the day before she was to be euthanized. I had her for 3 1/2 years. She was a sweetheart. I still miss her. I have a huge fan of rescuing dogs, especially the seniors.

I adopted a one year old white Pomeranian from the county animal shelter. He quickly became the love of my life. He also became a medical nightmare. Thyroid disease, a heart murmur, congestive heart failure, liver disease, pancreas and kidney issues. Then he went deaf. Through it all, he never lost his pom pom smile, his fun and loving personality, or his cuddly nature.
On Feb. 7, he passed away quietly while lying next to me in bed. He was 14. I was, and am, devastated. I miss him so, so much and still cry every day. I know I will see him on the other side.
I know you will give the beautiful Mr. Pom the best life possible, Lee. Thank you.

So sorry your sweet baby passed and your heart is DEVASTATED. Nothing but time will Lessen the pain....another dog Can be a great " distraction" until your heart accidently falls for the new dog....then you're on your way! And Bonus- you'll see your other dog on the other side when your time comes. Prayers for comfort❤🙏

We rescued a 6 ye old beagle/terrier mix. She was one hour from being put down and had been labeled vicious. We already knew this dog so we knew that wasn't true..11 years later, she's still in extremely good health and strong as an ox. Her teeth could use more of a cleaning than we can do at home, a little bit of arthritis, and is gradually getting hard off hearing. But she's a miracle and has never met an enemy. Everyone is a potential friend. ❤️♥️❤️

Sometimes you see so much bad going on-the wars, the crime, the famine-you feel like there is nothing good in this world and then you turn on your channel and the love you have for those dogs and what you do for them. It restores your faith in humanity because if there is ONE person like you Lee, there can be hope that there are others.

My heart Soars when I see your pack of ( used to be mistreated,abused, poor) dogs running FREE in your endless acres of lakes n forest n fields! It looks like my kind of Heaven. Dogs off leash,getting along....BEAUTIFUL. Each n every one of those dogs had the Perseverance to make it to THE ASHER HOUSE Sanctuary and Now They NEVER HAVE TO WORRY AGAIN. It's ALL LOVE AND CARE from here on out! Hallelujah. Thank You Lee❤

I think Lee would only be a good fit for a very independent woman, I don't think he has much time left with all he does for the dogs! My beautiful Cain, a Pom lived to 17. What a precious boy he was. He was found on the streets when he was only a few months old. He was full of love and compassion.
The sound that Mr. Pom is making, is the same as my boy had. His oesophagus was narrow according to x-rays, but it didn't affect his life.

I love the music you chose for the background for the doggies in the field. The music is so happy and light. It is so peaceful and soothing, I could watch it all day long. Your pond is so beautiful. Maybe to make money, you could invite artists out for the day to paint it.

My first dog was a senior Pomeranian with 4 teeth named Neville. Mr. Poms looks just like my Neville. He was the best dog in the world and my adventure buddy forever. Happy rescue day, Mr. Poms!

Senior animals are the best. I wish more people would see their value and how much they really appreciate having someone be there for them as they age. They're truly the most loving and grateful animals.

I took in a 13 year old blonde pom on hospice who was given 3 months to live. Her owners gave her up because they couldn't afford the $150 medical treatment for her heart per month. We had her for 18 months. Love goes a long way.

I'm hoping and praying 🙏 that Mr Poms just has a chest infection..some anti biotics will clear it up and it will just be his stiff legs which the cbd will help him with..the ears on that pupper were so darn cute..when you look at all of these different dogs who for no fault of their own have ended up forgotten..abandoned..neglected..victims of cruelty..all differing personalities and needs then watch them on their walks you realise what a very special human Lee Asher is..they all know he is their pack leader..he leads with love ..rules..which sometimes can be broken😊..but they all get on with each other..do ypu realise how hard that is..go get different breeds and personalities working as 1 pack..!! But Lee has surrounded himself with like minded people and thats how it works..I'm sure Marion County shelter are so thankfull the day Lee moved to their county..think of all of the dogs and cats he has taken from them..which enables them to take in another animal in need..the too and frow of rescue..Bless you Lee..prayers for Mr Poms and l hope the pupper is ok health wise..l noticed her back legs opened out as she bent down..hope her hips and knees are ok..or hopefully just a puppy thing that she will outgrow..🇬🇧💕🙏✝️👏👍👏👍🐾🐕🐾🐕🇺🇸

Mr. Poms reminds me of my ~20lb pommie mix, Friday, found on the streets of LA. Yes, everyone thought he looked like a teddy bear, and until he died at ~15/16, ppl assumed he was a puppy. There was so much more I wished I could've done for him, esp. the dental, but I was struggling w/my own healthcare then. In any case, he was clean, comfortable, fluffy, never w/o company, and very well-fed. Since my other dogs were med-size black or brown lab or shep mixes, my Friday wasn't a dog I ever expected to have, but I'm open to all as long as they're in need. Anyway, we know your poms will get care and a great life there at AH.
