In today’s video me and Lisa (@abandoned.scotland) were invited to stay overnight on the remote island of little Cumbrae “wee Cumbrae” , a remote island off the west coast of Scotland.
The island has an abandoned lighthouse , numerous caves , forgotten burial grounds and lots more !
There was so much to see wee didn’t get to see half of it , but what we did see blew us away !
Little Cumbrae is definitely a place you should have on your list of places to visit in Scotland .. you definitely will not regret it !!
You can hire a boat for numerous different tours including little Cumbrae from John , owner and operator of seaclyde

Or even book a stay at little Cumbrae with Peter and Linda here !!!

It's after midnight here, my pet bird is in his cage under his cover, and all I can here is him twittering to the seagulls in your video 😂 Fantastic place, really beautiful. Your overnight camping is more like glamping, very posh. Thanks to you both , great tour 😊
Hahaha sorry about that ! They were relentless ! 😂😂😂
Brilliant video, Love the Explore out in Sea Breeze of Cumbrae, Gorgeous Island Along With The Seagulls &Seals😅Thank you, Dale&Lisa
Brilliant explore amazing lighthouse with such beautiful views, Love the stairs showing the magnificent paint peel. Awesome video I enjoyed guys Thank You
What a beautiful place. The couple that live on there alone are so lucky. I could quite easily live on a deserted island with just my husband and cat! Loved the tipi tent too. Thanks to you and Lisa for taking us along on your adventure.
Absolutely stunning video thank you so much. Looks like a oil powerd electricity power station perhaps.
Hello Dale and Lisa!! What a fantastic video. The view is beautiful. Such a great place to explore! Thanks for sharing.😊❤
Thanks rayna 🥰

Great explore. The castle was my favorite. And thank you for making the pop ups so much easier to read. Onto the next adventure.
Loved this one for sure! The views were wonderful! And I don't mind you saying guys BUT why not just say guys and gals ? I'm so use to you saying guys I don't know how I'd feel if you stopped completely. Look forward to seeing more escapades! Hi Lisa !
This is awesome really enjoyed this one. Lots of great history I bet. Thanks for sharing you both looked like you had a fun time exploring this one.
Fabulous explore, what a lovely place, hope you two go back and see more of that place, crack on and carry on, hats off
THE SEAGULLS WOULD PROBABLY BEEN NESTING WITH EGGS AND YOUNG NEARBY HENCE THEM DIVE BOMBING YOU.
Hello Dale and Lisa, I am smiling as I am watching this,so happy for you two! Dale is that a new tat on your neck? Cool bird
Thanks Patricia , and if is ! A few more to get done yet though
Hello Dale and Lisa!! What a fantastic video. The view is beautiful. Such a great place to explore! Thanks for sharing.😊❤
Imagine cleaning the lighthouses windows in the winter
The old machines you found are for generating electricity for the lighthouse. The tanks are quite probably fuel tanks to keep the engines going since you could not let the light go out under any circumstances.
What a gorgeous house too! It could look so beautiful if someone cleaned it up... Would be a perfect getaway from modern life
Old diesel engines with AC DC generators alternators depending on what they had to power but what a waste they engines are amazing
Amazing explore! Thank you!
Great video dale n Lisa thanks so much.dale u don't have to apologise for anything u say be urself my friend don't change.god bless u both..
Thanks Rita , appreciate that ❤️
Maybe generators for electricity?
Amazingly good condition considering the salt water is so hard on things. The castle is well cool but that basement was creepy AF! Amazing video, Dale and Lisa. You wore me out! ;) Well done!

Oh wowwww! That is amazing, fantastic explores! I’ve not seen inside a lighthouse before. Love the engineering stuff too. AND a castle! Look at those views! And a red phone box! Seals! Seagulls! How did you cram it all into a half hour video? Thank you for an amazing explore ❤
Wow nice. I wish I was there
Dude love the vids and you screaming I want me mam 😂😂😂😂😂 love it have you done Caldwell house yet
Haha thanks mate , and yea I’ve been there a couple of times now , I love the old ruins
The stairs in the castle reminds me of York Minster cathedral North Yorkshire as you can climb up to the roof, its scary if someone is coming down
Wow knew this would be amazing. Thank you for taking on the mission and tackling the scurries 🕊👍
Thanks dawn ❤️
I can not wait to watch this tonite!!!!😊
Enjoy Karen ! ❤️
I completely enjoyed this explore! Loved when you were talking to the birds! Very interesting the light house was. Make more explores I can’t get enough of you and Lisa! Thankyou for what you do
What camera are you using for this video, I love the neutrality of the colours and the sharp/softness?
For the cinematic parts I used my iPhone 13 , for the recordings with me speaking I used a go pro 7 😅
What a wonderful place the beautiful scenery veiws and beach the castle and light houses were fascinating the old cottages you'd think the gov would invest in this place it would be a great for tours and a holiday stay thankyou for the video it was very interesting what a place 😊😊😊😊😊
Anyone can go and visit here and stay , the links are on their pages that I’ve tagged in the description 🥰
The seals will be having their pups ( baby seals)
You should tuck your jeans into your socks to keep you from getting ticks
No ticks on this island or I would of lol
That was beautiful. Thank you for taking us there.
Thanks for watching 🥰
It would of been bleak in the winter
You picked good weather
You can imagine the Roman soilders looking out to sea
This was amazing! Haha Monk and his girthy stem 😂❤
Made me jealous 👀😂
Absolutely loved this very interesting explore. Well done and Thank You.
The seagulls will have chicks
Yes we was quick to pass through and try not to annoy them too much 😅
What an adventure it was ♥️🙌🙌
It really was ! 🥰
What can i say? This has been a brilliant watch. The lighthouse and buildings but that view of clear blue sea and nature absolutely breath taking my friend. Id book a holiday there just fir the views given a chance. Dont every be sorry for saying stuff u are who u are mate. Awesome video dale & Lisa. That view 😍
Wow great explore dale and lisa...imagine logistics getting that beast over there..
Great to see you Dale and Lisa. Some beautiful scenery. Didn’t realise there was so much to see on the island. Been to Great Cumbrae many times, so maybe next time go to Little Cumbrae.
Wonderful video as always, and such a beautiful place.
Thankyou so much ! And yes we got such perfect weather for it , was just unreal , thanks for watching !
Did you get bitten by the bugs
Only a few thousand times by the midgies 😂
Hi! Thank you so much for sharing this great Video🤗
To think that they had to ship all that equipment to the island and up the hill
There was a type of Derek crane that they would use when the weather allowed to crane men and equipment up 🙂
wouldn't take that much to get that place sorted out tbh
Did u find out what the machine water(?) Room actually was?
Yes it was for fuel 😊
The RR is the main engine for the lighthouse there's 3 big fuel tanks and other machines and a big compressor that would have fed a fog horn at some point. Did you happen to notice a cannon anywhere?. The big rusty things are old pontoons 🙂
@@sowennaholyhead6849 ah I did think that's what the big rusty things were pontoons
Amazing video thank u
Thanks Jane ❤️
Awesome thank you Dale and Lisa, sharing this explore.
In nz we use the term ‘guys’ when talking to people. It’s a term used to mean group of ‘people’ in general, nothing to do with just men. Lol.
So no offense taken Dale as we use this all the time. 😊👍
Wow, what a fab explore. Beautiful location and stunning views. It must have been wonderful back in its day 😊
Thanks Mandy ❤️
Wow great lighthouse, imagine camping in it overnight, overlooking the water high up, awesome.
Hej don't worry about saying 'guys', its your phrase and part of who you are, use it why not, some people are so touchy unbelievable. Love your filming with the drones, keep it up ~ Hi to Lisa xxx thanks for sharing guys!!
