I have spent many hours looking at reviews battling what phone to buy, this review cleared all the doubts I had on the A52 (5G). Clean and to the point review. Very nice work.
i got this phone on release and honestly it is incredible! the daily experience is on par with any of Samsung's current flagships, and my friends cant believe the price that i got it for. I use my phone pretty heavily over the course of a day (social media, gaming, Netflix and all that) and I've never felt like I needed more. Except for NFC payments which are a bit slower than my previous Samsung Note 9... but overall Ilove this phone and highly recommend it.
Personally I use A50 for 2years, and it's still beast to me. But what's make me think about an upgrade is camera and battery life for sure. Besides that, everything is fine for end users. I loved this video but I want to point that having a midrange phone is no different than flagsip phones ONLY IF you're a NOT regular phone, social media user. If you're not the main boss, workaholic, social media agent, content creator etc you'll be alright!!! There's a scene in the video where Instagram loads slower than usual but in actual usage it's not a problem.
I think in tech world, timing matters a lot. A52 was launched few days ago, but there's already many videos on it. Maybe that's why Thao isn't growing as fast as other tech channels. She has amazing content and the delivery is Awesome.....Hope she is recognized by more viewers !!!! She deserves a million and more subs !!
Yes she deserves much more. But it’s not all about timing. Her S21U video was one of the first, well before e.g. MHB, but she got low numbers. I Like the mix of her own personality, real usage instead of tech facts only and some well placed criticisms
Mid range phone sector is insanely competitive at the moment, and as time goes on Android's weakness of updates is becoming a top want in a brand and a great marketing tool.. Nice one Thao 👍
The midrange sector has the same performance as the flagships of 2017 but with a much much much better battery life. Except for some Xiaomi/Poco phones where the performance is on modern flagship level.

Awesome review! The A52 replaced my old Huawei P20 Pro. After trading-in and selling off the Galaxy Buds+ that came bundled with it, it only costs me 175€. Love this phone! It's not high end but strikes a perfect balance for an average user like myself. I thought I would never say this but I do like the UI of this Samsung phone. Did install the Microsoft Launcher because I'm used to it from my old phone.

The phone looks amazing but besides the 120 hertz, I don't see a big reason to upgrade from my A51. I love my A51 and need a huge improvement before I jump to something else. Thank you as always for this review. I didn't even know this phone was a thing but leave it up to you to keep me up to date on what samsung has to offer. Love your content. Keep doing your thing. As always, great review video and one I trust more than others. I have to say though, I'm still not fully sold on the A52 yet, I still feel that my Note 10 lite offers me more. Yes there are features I'm not getting, like IP67 but it just wouldn't be an acceptable upgrade at the moment. Who knows. I would like to ask though, where did you get the wallpaper, that I did like and would love to try on mine 😀 Again, thank you for a great review
Out of interest, what are your thoughts on the likes of the A52 vs old flagship say S8, S9 or S10? Yes you won't get any future updates with some of these phones, but price wise they're similar and have extra features such as wireless charging, decent cameras, dex and surely the old high end processor would still be competitive with a modern midrange?
@@TwskiTV not true, The 780G for example was boasting being able to best the Krin 990 putting it somewhere close to the snapdragon 855 possibly even beating the 865. The 765 is already better than the 835 sitting just off the 854. Unfortunately the processor is such a small part of the phone now. No longer does each generation provide a noticable leap in performance like it did a several years ago. The phone plays 1080 youtube videos easily and that is the most taxing thing i do on it. None of the games i ocassionally play make the phone sweat. The only reason i am even considering the question is due to deciding if upgrading from the note 8 vs replacing the battery is the best option. At this point is battery deg and 64GB isnt quite enough storage. I am simply not willing to give up wireless charging or NFC. I dont mind loosing Dex or the S pen but only for good reason 5G hasnt arrived here and wont for the next year+ at least Faster processor on its own means nothing if the battery life suffers (I would go apple if fastest meant anything) Faster refresh is worth upgrading for but not worth on its own not worth the price of entry. Camera performance seems on par with most reviews pointing to night performance and lack of osi on midrange putting me off so not really gaining and some scenarios losing. Simply put the A52/ A72 vs S8 is not a straight forward decision as many flagships hold their own beyond. "faster" processor means nothing without context of the complete package
Hi. Hope you get back to me. I've been looking at this phone to replace my s7. Yup the s7. So far im sold. Has alot of good reviews. Just one question. Is it neccessary to used the finger print to unlock your phone. Does it still allow you to use a number lock instead? Thank you for your time.
Ehh?? Not the upgrade as I thought but the: -5G support -Stereo Speakers -120Hz Display -6GB Ram -Snapdragon Chipset I just got the A51 last month and I eyeing the A52 5G but I'll wait for the A53 or something.
5:13 I think it's an optimization issue not the SD750G's fault. Even my Tab S6 Lite with Exynos 9611 handles multitasking much faster than this. I think they'll fix it with an update.
love this phone I'm a fan of the A5x series, just got it for my sister.. I'm kinda jealous cause the screen is so much smoother than my Note 10 Plus 😜🤣
I don't find it surprising that the A51 was the best selling Android phone last year, as most people have realised by now that you don't need a flagship phone anymore. I used to buy flagship Samsung phones every two years, until I got myself the A50, which costed a third of the price of a flagship phone. Still using the A50 and will most probably get the A52 when my A50 stops working.
Thao please include speaker tests of phones. For this case, specially compared to last generation. I have been using A71 and the speaker is the only thing that bothers me. I also believe speaker is the only thing that requires improvement in phones specially the mid range ones except for iPhones. Its a long overdue thing. Anyways, please spend some more times on speakers while reviewing. That would be much appreciated
Can you charge the phone via a wireless mode? I have a Samsung Wireless bar that I use to charge my smart watch. So just wondering if this has that facility?

I upgraded to this phone from an iPhone 6 and it feels like a phone from the future.
Man, Thao, you an OG in my books now. Tried turning off the face unlock on my a71 and it made the fingerorint unlock faster.

yes, snapdragon 845 and even 835 are sill better than the the best 7xx chips.

I was gonna get it to replace my s10 plus until I realized that the video recording on the a52 5g can only record 4k at 30 fps.
Would it be an upgrade from the 4xl?

The A50 is still a good phone. My wife still uses it. It has a good camera and the speaker is loud even though it only has one

S20 FE, better cameras overall, should have Dex , stereos will probably be louder , nicer screen
