Great song; and it placed well in Eurovision 2023. Pronounced as "dooie" or "duye" - Love it! The song is based strongly in the Albanian folk and the lyrics cry the ailment of "modern" society, young people leaving their families and their country behind... you are right, it is a sad song in many ways - a great, beautiful ballad nonetheless. I would recommend you visiting Albania mid-June to Mid-July or in September/October. Mid-July and August are very busy with tourists and Albanians living abroad. Albanians are very hospitable people; don't stay more than a week, otherwise you might want to live there forever! Albania is a small country, so you could be at the beautiful beaches in the south in the morning and the next hours you could go visit old cities like UNESCO World Heritage Berat or Gjirokaster; and the next day you could go to the Albanian Alps in the North. Kruje is one place that my kids loved.
