My first… you know what they say about “firsts”… I’m on my 6th official retail copy of this CD and I’ll buy 20 more if I need to! Bought a DiscMan cheap with aux-out and headphones & anti-skip! So happy! To be sad and angry!
Really IS. Thais guitar player IS a Genius. Remember tô see the wish tour vhs. Songs like Thais one and fascinacion street, riffs like in high. It IS a awesome álbum for guitar lovers. Ahhh, and the distorcions and microphonia perfectly used. It IS a masterpiece
True dunno why this album isn't ranked higher by Cure fans. I'd have it higher than kiss me and probably on par with head on the door. For 5th best album.
Yes. This was my First Cure exposure at 13 in summer art class with a goth teacher, and I bought their full back catalogue which is incredible, but honestly, though I own the ones that followed, it’s just never (aside from “Burn” from the Crow) sounded as good as Wish since.
There is nothing wrong w/you dear. Many Cure Fans feel this way w/ a particular song that really resonates w/ them or many. You may be esp. Emotional or an Empath & just aren't aware of it. I'm 60 & just found out I am an Empath. (someone who feels others emotions & my own very deeply & it can overwhelm me so much where I get depleted bc of too much negetivity & I sometimes have to be alone to replenish myself & or sort out who's emotions are who's (theirs or mine). Robert has a way of making us feel & he has stated that he wants to do that & he has succeeded in that time & time again with his great voice & lyrics. The music (guitars) is perfect in this song. It is just a perfect song in every way. I came here just to listen to this version as it is my favorite version.❤😃
If only you'd never speak to me The way that you do If only you'd never speak like that It's like listening to A breaking heart A falling sky Fire go out and friendship die I wish you felt the way that I still do The way that I still do If only you'd never look at me The way that you do If only you'd never look like that When I look at you I see face like stone Eyes of ice Mouth so sweetly telling lies I wish you felt the way that I still do The way that I still do But you don't You don't feel anymore You don't care anymore It's all gone It's all gone It's all gone If only you'd never pull from me The way that you do If only you'd never pull like that When I'm with you I feel hopeless hands helplessly Pulling you back close to me I wish you felt the way that I still do The way that I still do But you don't You don't feel anymore You don't care anymore It's all gone It's all gone It's all gone If only you'd ever speak to me The way you once did Look at me the way you once did Pull to me the way you once did But you don't You don't feel anymore You don't care anymore It's all gone It's all gone
I hear you & Feel you. My past has been rocky, & quite tumultuous & I am currantly still dealing w/people who think they know things about me or just don't think right about me & this song expresses my feelings about them. It hurts a lot, bc they don't include me & don't try to fix anything in the relationship either. If I say anything about it- I'm crazy, according to them. You can't tell them anything they are thinking or doing wrong& I am the scapegoat. It isn't about everyone needing love & affection to them- they are selfish & don't want to hear it or have to change their ways. I'm cast aside like I don't count or matter & I always was. It is very hard to live with when there are chidren & grandchildren involved & they teach them it is ok to treat people that way. They can make up stuff about you & call you toxic when they are just insane, inhumane mean & ignorant. It is what it is though & this song seems to fit my situation perfectly. Honestly, it helps me to keep going. I don't know where I'd be without my love for music & Esp. The Cure !😃
I know not all fans agree on this album, but it was my first ever exposure to the Cure in a summer art class at 13y/o, and the teacher played this and much more GOOD MUSIC on repeat! I was hooked! Then I used BMG & Columbia House TV Guide “Buy 1 get 8-12 CD’s for a penny!”, and thus built the back catalog of Cure, Depeche Mode, Banshees, Old U2, Bowie, New Order, Joy Division (RIP Ian). The “usual suspects and other great found bands! I made that “Cure” logo on so many pages of #Omnicrom metallic foil and Auchtung Baby U2 logos! This was 2-4 years before the digital takeover of art. Hand drawn, inked, painted, traced, airbrushed, Omnichroms and Lucy Machines and *actual* AIRBRUSH STATIONS with hoods to eat the fumes of real paint! We did not have any “Undo” buttons. Manual labor, and when you mess up you either find a way to save the piece or chuck it. “Omnichroms” are essentially 2 heated, powered rollers that affix special colored films to copy machine toner only! So you’d use a Lucy to project an image into a table for tracing and adjusting size, then xerox it as solid black, tape colored film you cut out yourself to the copy, feed it through the Omnichrom then carefully peal the film at 45degrees, and the black is now any Pantone Color you want! Flat, shiny, all in between. Art used to take effort!
Holly shit, it reminds me a lot of their self titled. Insane guitar work, i love all those feedbacks and random noises, it sounds so rich and raw. The drummer is again killing it like on their self titled and Robert has amazing vocal expression on this one. And yeah of course, the monstrous avalanche bass line. Phenomenal song all the way through.
please just say who wants a back rub or foot massage first in this band Bruno☆*~^! It's your friend Joe Hannah i had to reform my new Facebook sir. Is Your new album about in our out yet too bro? I miss y'all's xx signed your Suncoastian cyber friend Joey of Hannah.

I love how this song sounds just like the lyrics, angry, desperate and sad all at once
It do be like dat sometimes
It's about Lol Tolhurst and their falling out as friends.
It’s incredibly powerful…and catch as fuck. God, I love the Cure x
This album underrated as fuck, it’s really a treasure

I expect nothing less than this perfection from Robert Smith. The cure cuts to my soul.. I have had this album for 30 years.
Is that the sole of your foot or shoe? ffs
This album is a guitar masterpiece
DELICIOUS ! !

You're goddam right
Totally. So bitchen
One of their heaviest songs, from a truly great under appreciated classic album. Everything they did up through WISH was solid gold!
JOE BLOW The hard-rock side of The Cure is very good.

I definitely rank it highly! Over Head on the Door. Pornography is still my favorite though.
Yes this was a hit for sure back then .it tapped into something that drew alot of people in
The saddest and most beautiful powerful song I’ve ever heard. I love everything sad...not sure what’s wrong with me. ❤️

So lucky to have been 21 and seen this great album played at the Rose Bowl , beautiful memories this was one of the best live.
I was there too!!
If only you'd never speak to me
The way that you do
If only you'd never speak like that
It's like listening to
A breaking heart
A falling sky
Fire go out and friendship die
I wish you felt the way that I still do
The way that I still do
If only you'd never look at me
The way that you do
If only you'd never look like that
When I look at you
I see face like stone
Eyes of ice
Mouth so sweetly telling lies
I wish you felt the way that I still do
The way that I still do
But you don't
You don't feel anymore
You don't care anymore
It's all gone
It's all gone
It's all gone
If only you'd never pull from me
The way that you do
If only you'd never pull like that
When I'm with you
I feel hopeless hands helplessly
Pulling you back close to me
I wish you felt the way that I still do
The way that I still do
But you don't
You don't feel anymore
You don't care anymore
It's all gone
It's all gone
It's all gone
If only you'd ever speak to me
The way you once did
Look at me the way you once did
Pull to me the way you once did
But you don't
You don't feel anymore
You don't care anymore
It's all gone
It's all gone
Gracias por la letra! !!!🎸🎶🔊
Thanks for posting lyrics, bro!
This song, "Cut," makes my heart well up and swell.

Esta canción siembre me gustó más que otras del mismo álbum, desde que la escuché cuándo compré el disco al salir. Es especial
I was here, when I was stoned . 😊 ~ hard life (MULDEW)
Capolavoro assoluto
When you replace their alcohol and downers with speed and Redbull.

hard life (MULDEW)
Boris is God
Chale casi nadie la conoce y está bien chida :c 💔
Nadie que no sea fanatico de the cure querras decir
It's all gone !!
Mood Swings was very good too.But that's it.
Is that Porl on lead guitar?
daddysensei Silver absolutely!
They could have kept "Away", this version sounds so hectic and unfocused. Pop and uppy for the standard sound of the time 😵💫
ЖА-РРР-А!!!!
Tripaloski
