    One of the greatest playsets of all time. Had it as a small child in the early 70s along with the radio backpack.

    Thank you John! Got this Christmas Day 1978, 12 years old. Was beyond happy when I opened the present to find this. Your video brings back so many memories! Thanks again!

    Such a very cool toy set. I got it for my 8th birthday. I'll never forget it. Colonel Steve Austin... A man barely alive. 👍

      Possibly the best Play set of the 70s. Thanks for watching.

    Great collection! I was about 8 years old when this and so many cool toys come out. My best friend had most of the early Six Million Doller Man sets. I had mostly GI Joes with my father being Ex Military, but I loved playing with them all. I waited 47 years to get one, and last weekend I found both Steve and the Transport in it's original box at a flee market. What joy this old set has given me this week! Now I just need to find some of the small parts and a better arm for Steve. The rubber skin got hard and will not come off. I did get the 2 chips out and it took about 2 hours to clean them up........

    The 70's were filled with so many great playsets, it's hard to know if this tops that list. But I DO know it was the ONLY playset that mattered when it was brand new. Ironically I never owned one as a kid. The reason being is my best friend had gotten one for his birthday so we spent endless summer days playing on his which lead me to get other figures or adventure sets instead. Without question it was the coolest thing going when it first came out and it gave me countless hours of fun. I have one in my collection today withe all the accessories and box. Great video!!!

      I think that this is the best Play-Set of the 1970's. There are many great toys that came out, but this set combined with a SMDM figure is action figure gold. Thanks for watching.

      I never had this playset myself but I made do with the Star Wars Death Star set, Bionic Man was a favorite though.

    Dug mine out of storage a few weeks ago, and replaced a couple of missing part through e-bay. It turns out it was a pretty good way to store my SMDM figure - both the figure and the station were in pretty good shape. Great video!

      The TV show is still a fun way to spend an hour. I really enjoy the quality of the sets, costumes and camera work. They just don't make TV like this these days. Thanks for watching.

    The greatest playset of the decade!? I have to admit it was one of the few playsets ever made I instantly thought about a figure in, who was the centre of a toyline.
    When I went about getting a Steve Austin for myself I purchase this with it!

    • @johnwild8336
      @johnwild8336  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      For its playability, durability and tie to the source material I think this is the best Play set of the 1970s. Although other lines have some good stuff, i.e. Kenner Death Star, MEGO Batcave, Marx Navorone, I like this the best. Just one guys opinion. Thanks for watching.

    I still have my original. I didn't remember the box or instructions. I have a family xmas photo somewhere of me unwrapping the bionic man, maskatron, oscar goldman and his exploding briefcase and this piece. i
    great to see such a complete video. nteresting to see that book also.
    you do vids similar to my approach which is nice to see someone take the time. admittedly I'm trying not to take too much time on mine but thats my nature to make a project out of everything. its the type of approach that works well for those specifically interested imho.

    Merci pour cette superbe vidéo. Série Américaine de mon enfance à la fin des années 70. Je possède aussi le set Kenner Bionic transport and repair, le mission control center et le Bionic mission véhicle, ainsi que quelques Steve Austin, The Bionic woman , Oscar Goldman et un Maskatron. Tout actuellement est hors de prix... 😩😩🤪🤪!!!
    Je devrais les mettent en expo mais je n'y pense jamais !!! En tout cas tu as une superbe collection, au top !!! 💕💕💕💕👍👍👍👍😍😍😍😍

    Saw this set at the local doll show, should have got it. Nice dvd set. Hopefully the Six Billion Dollar Man with Mark Walhberg, movie will get started filming soon. There's also some nice new comic books that came out awhile back, if you want to read about the further adventures of Steve Austin. I think Kevin Smith wrote it. Check your local comic store.

      "The Six Million Dollar Man Season Six" Comic Series Was Great. Haven't Yet Read "The Fall Of Man" Yet. I Don't Know How I Feel About Re-Booting SMDM. Maybe Better Just Living With What Has Already Been Done.

    Hi. I had the Maskatron figure. His tunic closes at the back, not the front. So I'd suggest that the way you have him showing in this video his shirt/tunic is on back to front. I don't know if there were variants. I only know how mine came in the box, or was illustrated etc.

    • @johnwild8336
      @johnwild8336  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I display my Maskatron with his shirt reversed to show off the Bionic chips in his chest. But you are correct, that to properly disguise Maskatron, his shirt should have buttons in the back. Thanks for the great comment.
