I have said this for years and I'll say it again. ..Jerry Jones would rather the Cowboys lose as opposed to the team winning and someone receiving all the credit. He is a lot like Jerry Krause, GM of the Michael Jordan-led Chicago Bulls teams, who wanted all the credit except unlike Jerry Jones, Krause was a great talent evaluator and knew how to put a team together.
