Mods are a double edged sword. One one hand they make the game playable, and way better than the original. On the other hand, you are NEVER done. You THINK you are done, but then something else always comes and you need to get that mod, but it conflicts with this other mod you forgot you even had... but you can't remove that mod because it's master to a mod you want to keep...
Yeah, what I do is track the new mods in nexus for my next savegame. And for conflicts, you can always learn to patch stuff, but is a bit (maybe a lot lol) more involved
You have to make a lot of lists and folders to keep track of your mods, they work hard to make your game look like a modern game, I can't complain about the complexity, they have 100 times more difficulty just to make crazy mods for us for free.
Hey Soft, i just wanted to say that i love your Combat Evolved SmoothCam preset, i've been using it for some time now and it has become my favorite preset by far, it makes my game look really cinematic, thank you!
Only issue with Skypatcher is that it can potentially be very problematic with conflicts. You can't see what it changes in SSEEdit and if one of those changes happen to cause a CTD, it will not be easy to tell where the CTD is from. So basically sounds incredible until you dig just a bit under the surface.
I'm looking forward to seeing this mod progress so that the majority of popular mods are Skypatched. It just makes more sense for players to deal with one unified patching method so mods can work with each other, to which there is a dedicated bunch on the Discord that are doing their best to make that happen. As for CTD - I have had more without SkyPatcher as with. What this game really needs is not actually being developed, and that's a new engine. That would likely break every mod, so without Skypatcher and other mods that are designing ways for the engine to cope with ever more demanding mods, we're all going to struggle to constantly tweak mods and mod lists.
The parallax in this video were next level, need a list for just parallax overhauls or the best combination of texture packs. Dumb question but…- do you have a list of texture mods used in this video?
skyrim 202x is the main and most popular overhaul, can cover almost every texture i think most in this video are from skurkbro, just search skurkbro in nexus but if you put in parallax into nexus search bar, mods that use parallax will all come up, then just browse, check images on mod page and build your texture mods in your list from there
For one, it's been covered extensively by literally every channel. Two, it's a cool gimmick, but it's not quite there yet. Carriages is still glitchy and not friendly with a lot of mods that edit roads or NPCs. Ships is much better, but smoother pathing is needed to get the Ships to not react in uncanny ways.
@@SoftGamingOfficialAnother banger, THANK YOU! You mentioned you use a controller, so do I. Could you share your controller mods and suggested set up?? Thanks again!
It hurts me so much how painfully obvious the tiling is on some of the recent parallax terrain mods. They look really good when you don't notice it, but once you do, it's impossible to ignore. Had to uninstall Northern Roads and other similar mods with how often it was jumping out at me in certain areas. If only there was something we could do about it.
Some nice mods in here SoftGaming. I'd be really interested to see a modlist from you with the new mods that are now available. Any chance we'll see that sometime soon?
Thanks for filling the gap that brodual left for me. Your mods are clearly not randomly thrown together like so many other mod showcases. Much more curated and always all the good stuff and some gems.
Spell hotbar is good and works well, but given it's restricted by the engine to first equip before you can use, it can sometimes be a bit hit-and-miss in intense fights.
As a controller user for pc, how do you set up yours or rather what controller do you use? Ive tried those kontrol to get more usage out of it and it never seems to work.
Could someone please explain how to use skypatcher? I've tried but I can't figure it out for the life of me. It was for the ISC mod - but it didn't distribute the sounds to the armor mods in my mod list.
