Cindy....she is no longer here my friend....I'll discuss this in a future video....but long story short we simply were not getting along. Neither of us deserved to argue with each other all the time. I still love her very much, but there comes a time when after 10 breakups and "move outs" ...that I just had to make a decision.....something just wasn't right....I don't know how best to put it....something changed and wasn't right. I wish I had better news
@@JamesG1126wow dude, how is that comment supposed to be helpful? This is hers and Josh’s lives not a sitcom and people’s (your) presumption to know everything or ability to give advice is sickening. that's cool. Your equipment helps you out a lot! You're a detail oriented person. I read below, sorry Stoney, didn't work out with Cindy. 💯 "Freedom tell you what you can kiss!' Wooo! end message.
Wow, your land has matured out so nice. Also, just stunning with the beautifully kept graveled areas. My dad used to do this to our pastures and it sure made a difference. Take care.
I have a battery grease gun...it's good for doing in the shop work...but outside the manual is just easier to handle....only takes about 2 pumps per fitting...farming is work no matter what my friend...I've found that power grease guns put in too much grease sometimes and blow seals
Man that drag is sweet!! Nice new pasture management plan you've got going on Josh! And nice dual purpose for that thing! Dirt, grass and gravel grading! Cheers brother! LOL like that you still have the reverse beeper on! :)
His region has a ton to do with it. But his program helps a lot too. You can’t do that in a Utah or Wyoming desert environment. That’s why he can have 30+ cows per acre vs in a place like I live, 1 cow would need 30 acres
Man that field is looking way better then even a year ago.nice work. Also we just had a mink break into our coop and tok out all but 1 rooster. But n the bright side we got the mink today so when we restart our flock or egg birds there will be less danger. Also repaired the coop so I'm hoping we should be good. It took a tiny hole and made it about 3 x the size so it could fit through
the cows keep the fence line trimmed up pretty good.....I've probably weed whacked the fence lines for 3 hours in the past 3 years...now mowing...yes...probably 15 hours a year mowing with the ventrac around the outside edges
I use a product called solucal...it's similar to lime. I target a few acres per year...but if we can get the soil right...and use the animals...we should theoretically not need lime...lime is a patch for a larger problem..no hummus...the urine and manure that comes out of the cow is ph neutral..which should bring the Ph of the soil up
@@StoneyRidgeFarmer love your channel btw. See if your local agricultural university offers soil testing. In West Virginia we had free soil testing and I would send in soil samples and get a report of the soil chemistry. Our clay soils there were very acidic, you can always tell because blackberry’s love acid soil. We would always spread pulverized lime stone (always buy the cheap stuff) and see great results from the plants and chemistry. Many things cause acidification of the soils. Acid rain, organically breaking down, and nitrification from fertilizers. The more organics and fertilizers (cow manure and urine) the more acidification you will experience. The urine maybe neutral coming out, but ph changes once it’s in the soil with bacteria. If you feel like it’s not worth the money, try a test area and apply different doses of lime. Your animals will also appreciate the added calcium for mommy cows who need keep up their minerals for lactating. I highly caution against putting the “recommended” fertilizer dosing that the soil tests call for, usually the amounts are 2x-4x too much. Lime first, and fertilize minimally. I have always preferred to fertilize about half of the recommended amount, and apply 1/4 of the amount I plan to put on each week with a walking spreader. When you apply as lightly and as often as I do, you won’t run into burning or wasting money. It’s great exercise too. After the fields are a month into growth, you don’t need any additional fertilizer, it’s starting to go to seed and you will just waste any extra spreading. You should do this as a video and it will be wildly popular and educational. You have plenty of acreage to show a decent test.
Sure am missing Ms Stoney Ridge....she has such a sweet smile!

I just got a woods batwing. Love it!
I would love to hear you started as a first-generation farmer
Your grass looks great!
Time to have some time with your cousins ❤😊

I invested in a Milwaukee grease gun about a year ago.
One of my best investments!
yep...I've got a milwaukee and a dewalt....but they never seem to be where I need them lol
A quick hitch would make connecting and disconnecting from the drag a lot easier.
Cat 3 quick hitch is tough to find my friend...this is big equipment
Hey Josh thank you for the video I enjoyed it woo
Git 'er dun, by golly!!
🙏🏻💪🙏🏻
your batwing reminds me of a bedstead . works well tho
Hey Josh! Is cousin G taking the dump truck for good or just borrowing it? I liked that ole thing
he's taking it back....we dont' need it anymore..plus no tittle!!
With all those grease points... need to find a battery grease gun sponsor... @MilwaukeeTool ? 😆

14 day rotation? How does the grass recover that quick?

@@ruffneckranch I rotate 12 hours and live in a similar rain rainfall never seen a 14 day rotation
Wonder with that powerful tractor if you could pull a harrow(with a pull type tool bar, of course) behind the mower and make a 1 pass action.
you'd just rake up all that you mowed my friend
IS there a video going over that mobile chicken coop build? I have an old hay wagon frame I could use to do the same thing!
yep...there's a link at the end of this vid I believe...or go back a few weeks in my content and you'll find it

I have 10 acres any ideas what could i used them for . I want cowd goats sheep etc but dunno
You said "don't hook up the PTO without the tractor running"! I think you MEANT to say "don't hook up the PTO with the tractor running", correct?

Hey cousi
I'd also like to know how you feel after underneath all these fence line
Weed wacker

Roundup is the best string trimmer made!!!!
@@StoneyRidgeFarmer that's great info. Thank you for the Sharon the great videos
I bet you there is no Roundup on that property. The opposite of organic it's crap
Was that old Mater the dump truck getting ready to leave the farm? We have not seen him in a long time.
COWS AND COFFEE
would that harrow also spread more of the parasites on the grass?
🤠 Pasture management 🐮💩💩💩🚜✌🐾🐾🐾
Wooooooo 🇺🇸
you are lucky you can work in shorts. Up here in the north we still have a lot of bugs.
