Hitomi is a freaking angel. From the moment she was introduced I really liked her and felt there was connection between her and Date. It felt so real when Date tried to shake her hand and she trid not to show it hurt her and he felt so ashamed. Perfect encapsulation of a real life awkward moment. She has been through so much and still is such an angel. If it were not for Aiba, Hitomi would be my most favorite character.
Just realised, the thumb piano motif at 0:57 is the same piano motif from Date's somnium in the mizuki route. What sweet, subtle way to show their connection.
This is *the* track from the game that reminds me of Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon the most. Yes, I know, same composer and all, but it's amazing to finally hear this music style in high quality.
Such a tragic character. She's an angel, and she'd burn for all of us, if it calls for it. Her story was so sad... her friend died, and she raised her child as her own. Her lover shot her, after she saved his life.
@@bluestrawberry679 How do you effectively use that map? I tried it there and still got lost; this was my hardest somnium as a result. (Granted, I never needed the map on the other ones...)

Ever since Abzu I have an irrational fondness for atmospheric game music with lots of oboe in them. Also this somnium is great. I felt so bad for Hitomi.
I feel like the gameplay side of things was meant to be for the player to be as confused and shook as Hitomi and Renju were that same night, searching for Manaka everywhere as they unintentionally split and get lost in the dark mountain, I believe it just has to be intentional

thank you! :)@@RainbowEssence-c3w
Aiba: *kicks rocks* . _my foot hurts_ ..
Date: I see.
Also Aiba: MY FOOT HURTS!!!
Date: Sorry. Sorry.
And this, Aiba, is why humans wear shoes.

@@JabamiLain I'm pretty sure it was, even if by accident.
@@JabamiLain yeah it was, Falco in Rohan's body, shot at Rohan, in falco's body
Hitomi didnt know and jumped to protect who she saw as falco

@@Nint3ndraw the map honestly confused me so I mostly followed the green dots whenever possible... idk how helpful that is xD
The game has a map? Wow that would’ve been useful
This is one of my favorite tracks from the game. It's soothing, yet mysterious and eerie. Really fit the Somnium perfectly.
Hitomi is best girl. Aiba is a very, VERY close second, but Hitomi is where it's at.
facts
Hitomis is wife. Aiba is bro (female).

This was way harder than Boss's somnium for me. I'm great at puzzles, but I have a really, really bad sense of direction...
Saaaaaame
Boss's Somnium was fun as hell with all the puzzles but in Hitomi's somnium most of my time got sucked up by getting lost

Reference of Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity.
Good thing they're developed by Spike Chunsoft.
This is such a dark somnium........
I mean like literally i cant see shit
Kinda getting hints of Psynching in the Main 2 from this track ngl
Didn't really enjoy the somnium gameplay wise, but great song and atmosphere
Oliver McCall just this particular somnium. The rest were fine
God this Somnium was so frustrating

I am a sucker for mystical Pagan-ish music
Anyone know what song was playing when hitomi was talking with young renju after?
This is from....
Hitomi's somnium
Fuck this Somnium. Can't see a thing, but there's a lot of stuff and you don't know what to do.
Took me a few tries to get it right. Just look for the trees with holes in them . . .
