The comparison is only accurate in that they both possess a power that is truly awesome. Tyson was indeed the scariest man on the planet in his day. GGG is a truly phenomenal boxer, incredible footwork and timing, the only criticism you could level at him is his head is so stationery, he's there to be hit. 350 amateur fights with 345 victories, without ever being hurt or knocked down speaks for itself. Anyone who has any experience of amateur boxing will testify to that. In the amateurs, the judging can be incredibly biased. Also, you have 3 rounds. You don't have a lot of time to work out your opponents weaknesses, or months to study videos of their previous fights. You don't have the luxury of finding sparring partners with similar physical characteristics and styles. You just get in and fight your best. GGG is in a class of his own at present. The big big difference between him and Iron Mike, IMHO, is that GGG is involved in a sport that he loves, in a professional capacity, to earn a living and be the best he can. Unlike Iron Mike, he doesn't appear to have a whole bunch of emotional baggage that he's trying to work through by hitting things. That takes nothing away from Mike, a great boxer and worthy champion, but a damaged human being. I'm a fan of them both.

Wasn't a speed bag...it is a double end bag and those things are no joke, even for the most seasoned pro...especially when you are changing directions and not just standing in front of it throwing jabs and crosses. That bag humbles everyone.

GGG is a pressure counter puncher & Mike was more of a side to side throwing combos that no-one ever saw b4..Both are skilled fighter not just power punchers..You could never land a bunch at that leval if you didn't have skills..GGG's style is not an easy style to fight most counter punchers are retreating and waiting for there opponent to through a shot and slip it and punch,,It allows a big punch to become bigger because the fighter moves right into the punch ..GGG moving foward and forcing puncher to punch trying to keep him of them is a much more technical way to fight..2 GREAT FIGHTERS

Yes, Golovkin is baby-faced super fighter. Asia has plenty of source from academic fields to sportspeople. East Asian (Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese) are very good at academic with many winners of Nobel Prize in science and Fields Medal, and Japanese are good at Judo, Chinese are good at Sportsshooting (both Rifle and Pistol) and Weightliftinging, Badminton and Table Tennis. They have many Olympic Gold Medalists in these sports for both Men and Women. Central Asian are very strong.
