Thank you for the clear instruction. I had tried re-soldering the tabs on the connector with no improvement. Slightly bending the tabs on the socket did the trick. Many thanks!

Thank you very much, I had the same problem with my phone, was only 8 months old and i took it to 3 mobile phones to get fixed, 1 month later, all 3 said the phone was died and they could do anything and it was best to sell for spare or repair. after looking at your video i spend 30 mins fixing the issue as you showed( only with the magnifying glass. and it working again, saving me about £400 to get a new one. Thank you again, a really good video and saved my phone and all the pictures i didn't back up. Really Really happy. 5*.

Hey man great fix. I see a lot of other videos where they run the wire all the way down to the charging port board also. I tried that fix and i got a boot loop. When i saw your video i removed the solder joint on the bottom and did it like you show and bingo it worked perfectly.

    • @hassleforit5683

@@hassleforit5683 that was my first time doing micro solder. I just used a regular solder iron but i would like to get some supplies for soldering… for example one of those metal sheets that you use to make the little squares on the chips before you solder them down and i want an actual micro solder station… do you have any good links to places i can find those things? Also i want a microscope like yours too are they expensive?

Hi! I have these charging issues with my A40 since weeks. Sometimes, it does not want to charge. The "funny" thing is: when I go to a repair store, they plug it in (with their charger or my charger) and it works. After I returned home, it still works properly for few weeks. untill the prob occurs again. But today, after I returned from store, i uploaded for some time and then stopped. Somehow, I feel bullied by my mobile. :-))) So now I will open it and try your tipp.

Hey, I would have a question. I am solving the charging problem with this phone. Nothing of this helps. The phone starts working and charging ONLY after I disconnect and reconnect the battery back. Any ideas? As far as I know, it is definitely not a cable or connector. Looks like some kind of other problem.
