    We'd been using FLOR for 4 years. I was so loyal! But if the dogs pee or barf on the seams between the FLOR tiles, it runs underneath them and gets all over the floor. I had a dog get sick all over 7 tiles a few weeks ago, and there was no way I was going to be able to get them clean. At about $25 per rile, I just made the switch to Ruggable. Thanks for your honest review. Even if Ruggable doesn't work out, I think it's still going to save me more than continuing to replace FLOR tiles for now.

    I’ve had Flor tiles for 12 years and I love them. They can be pricey, but the tiles I bought 12 years ago are still doing great. I’ve bought more since then and I’ll never go back to regular rugs. The best part is that when there’s gak on the rug, you just pull up the nasty tiles & wash them in a sink or outside with a hose. When one of my lighter colored tiles got kind of stained (after 6 years) & wasn’t looking especially fresh, I just moved it to a spot under my coffee table where there was a bit of shadow, and presto! All fixed. An important element to keeping your Flor tiles fresh is to rotate them. Every 4 months or so, I switch their positions. You can rotate the whole rug at one time (because the squares are attached to each other but not to the floor) or just switch out a few at a time (which is what I do.) Flor tiles are the best.

    Thank you for this update! I’m glad to know it’s curling even without washing, that’s my biggest concern so I’m going to skip on ruggable for now 🙂

    I run a Roomba daily to keep up with the St Bernard shedding and it definitely makes the edge curling worse!

      It says on their website that roombas etc. arent recommended.

    I have tried Flor tiles and they are great they do not curl and they stay in place. I have 3 very big and wild Dobermans that like to play fight inside and they haven’t moved a single inch. FLOR TILES ARE EXPENSIVE ONE OF THE BIG CONS.

    Maybe this has already been brought up but would you be able to tape the rug to the pad with the rug tape? Maybe line it up to the edge as closely as possible and tape the two together?

    Thank you for your video. They are quite informable without being boring. I really enjoy them. My question is, are your rugs the Standard Rug Pads or the Cushioned Rug Pads?

  • @serenareeves
    @serenareeves 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Or perhaps a layer of washable thin Velcro around the perimeter of the rug between the rug and pad. then you could secure the edge and still detach it from the pad for washing. I’m contemplating buying one but if the curling edge can not be fixed then it’s a total NO! Would absolutely drive me bonkers 🤪

    • @OakAbode
      @OakAbode  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is the best idea I’ve heard yet! I think a border of stronger velcro would be the most likely to work, but I’m sure it would have to be specially made to attach to the underlayment 🤔

    • @serenareeves
      @serenareeves 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well, most Velcro’s is made to attatch to clothing and be washable so maybe it would stick to that to!

    I think I would be willing to try one and if it curls I would use the tape. If that doesn't work, I would go back to regular rugs

    09/20 UPDATE: Thanks for all the support! As some of you mentioned below, you can now shop Ruggable on Amazon, by clicking here: @t Some of you are saying this is a good way to bypass the sketchy return policy. I haven't tried purchasing this way myself, but let us know if you do! We also FINALLY figured out how to fix the Ruggable curling -- you can watch how we fix it here: th-cam.com/video/qVt2xl0upn8/w-d-xo.html

    I'm so torn on whether or not to get a ruggable

      @patallojomom 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Melia Janae I have 5. If you have dogs or anything that might dirty dirty your rug. I haven’t had to wash one yet.

      @@patallojomom I have two dogs. One of them is still a puppy who literally will pull any string on my current jute rug, so she's destroyed it.

    I saw you have chicken in the other video. Great idea to get free range eggs. I am intrigued and want to know if you live in the country side.

      We live in a rural suburb, but definitely not quite the countryside. We love our chickies!

    Where did you get your palm leaf plant in the left corner of your room?

    • @OakAbode
      @OakAbode  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Costco! 29 bucks!

  • @patallojomom
    @patallojomom 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    You don’t put the tape on the floor. You put the double sided tape on the corners on the underlayment. Piece of cake.

    • @OakAbode
      @OakAbode  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Check out the last videos - the curling is along the entire edges, not just the corners. I do wish it was that easy though!

    • @patallojomom
      @patallojomom 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I saw the last video. I have 5 of these rugs. I know where they curl. It’s still easy to lay the tape on the underlayment then stick the rug to that tape. Still easy.

    Have you tried ironing the curled parts?

    • @OakAbode
      @OakAbode  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh yes. Works for about 5 min and then curls right back up.

    Has anyone in here tried the rug tape? I am willing to put my laminate floors at risk. I tried nonskid pads and they wouldn't stick to the rubber rug pad.
