i was much much confused in this...but by actually knowing the difference b/w flux and flux gradient graph...this concept helped me in understanding ac generator graph...😇
Shouldnt the emf graph start at zero though because the rate of change at the beginning of the change in flux graph is 0, and the emf graph is graphing the gradient of the change in flux. And also, from the start to the 3rd point, the graident of change in flux is negative so the emf graph would have negative points in the section but it will be flipped to positive gradients because of the negative in the emf formula. I think that make sense, idk I'm still learning.
Think of it this way: if magnet flux at start (ф_1) is greater than magnetic flux (ф_2) after, setting it in Δф = ф_2 - ф_1, we get a negative value. Thus if we set Δф in Faraday's law of induction, we get a positive flux in the formula. Hope this helped
Isn't the last graph based on the gradient of the middle graph? So in the first section of the middle graph, gradient is 0, so the first point in the last graph is at 0. then the gradient is negative, and because the e.m.f graph is the negatie of the gradient, the second section in the last graph has a positive gradient. etc.
sir everything is fine but one doubt is that What you had drawn "GRAD of PHI" is what ? is it the effective flux present in inductor or is it the lenz's law flux which opposing change in main flux, thereby creating some effective flux./// please let me know thanks in advance.
Because increasing induced emf's direction is always opposite to the magnetic flux which is producing this emf. Or we can say that the emf is produced in such a way that it opposes the cause of producing this emf.

Amazing help. Never understood why EMF was zero when flux was max. After the gradient, rate of change of flux you mentioned it makes complete sense
