    Hare Krishna! Thanks for this fascinating and intelligent constructive conversation about Spiritual Organizations. Mother Urmila Prabhu is a shining example of positivity within iSKCON. Her points about decentralization are very potent. So many other valuable angles of vision were presented that one could listen to this podcast multiple times and receive inspiration for the future of ISKCON. 🙏🏼 Pranams to You both.

    Thank You Mother Urmila for all your service to Srila Prabhupada and very wonderful points you made in this podcast. It reminds me of the 10th canto, chapter 23 of Bhagavatam. This story essentially says the brahmanas were part of the FRIVOLOUS BUREAU OF INTERROGATORS (F.B.I) whereas the wives of the brahmanas were part of the FAITHFUL BHAKTINS OF INTEGRITY (F.B.I). In other words, the brahmanas were "THE APPOINTED ONES" whereas the wives of the brahmanas were 'THE ANOINTED ONES." The moral of this pastime: BHAKTI supersedes BUREAU.

    At the 1 hour mark Urmila Mataji talks about a devotee that has an online Bhagavad Gita course and makes money at it! This is something that my husband and I could easily do because we were both initiated decades ago and have studied Srila Prabhupada's books ever since. However, I always understood that making money off of preaching was WRONG! Therefore we seek out secular jobs and preach in our spare time. Could you please do a podcast about vocations and businesses that are suitable for devotees and how we can market Krishna consciousness without offense? A deep dive, not just have everyone should open a Govindas.

      Selling Vedic knowledge for money is a great sin.

      @@samspade2657 Exactly! Why do people think that this is okay?!

    • @samspade2657
      @samspade2657 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@shalini_sevani Because like Urmila dd they are ignorant of Vedic culture. Western mentality is to monetize everything. Also in ancient times there were paid teachers but this was hghly criticized in Dharma sastra. Few people want to actually dive deeply in Krsna's Vedic culture without giving up their material conditioning. If you watch his other videos you see a lot of examples of this. I don't have any hpe for the future of ISKCON because they don't want to follow directive to implement VAD.

    It is somewhat sad that they can't make devotees anymore. No more students and educated people are becoming Vaishnavas. It is now all about bringing Russian people out of Siberia to better locations. Filling up the empty temples in Western Europe and the US with imported devotees from the slums of 3rd world countries. Bringing Indian graduates to the rich Western industrialized nations. Bas preaching complete. Preaching of we are not this body and bhakti rasa is no more.
