He has a podcast that he presents with fellow historians, and they discuss all things WW1 & 2 related. As a side note (it may have already been brought to your attention), the contestants are always sat in alphabetical order, Al, Dave, Paul, Rob and Sara. Love your channel btw.

I know I've said it before, but it really does seem like UK celebs are just more approachable and "real". I watched a 20min "Best of Roisin Conaty on 8 Out of 10..." compilation video over on Patreon, and I saw them all- Joe, Jon, Jimmy Carr of course (even a little bit of Alan Carr lol).. it was great! And I finally got to put a Susie Dent face with a name :)
i remember when this season of taskmaster was announced - i was absolutely floored by the contestant lineup! dave gorman's great - has been one of my favourite comedians for years now. his shows like are you dave gorman, googlewack adventure, dave gorman's important astrology experiment, modern life is good-ish and terms and conditions apply are all fantastic! modern life is good-ish is what made me fall in love with his style in the first place and i highly recommend it. either that or the first two i mentioned. he seems like such a genuine guy, too.
Alex actually has his own musical group ( for lack of a better term ) called The Horne Section. They are a comedy musical group and are so talented! I'm pretty sure they do the music for this show.
The season 3 cast is so fun and there’s some incredible tasks, though I have to say season 4 is my absolute favourite. Cannot wait for you to start with that

All 5 contestants are comedians this time around. Al Murray usually does his stand-up as a character called The Pub Landlord though. He seems to be a firm favourite with other Americans who react to UK comedy, so you may want to check some of his stuff out (his routine about how global finance works is probably my favourite of his, especially his impression of New Yorkers).
The more I watched this show, the more I fell in love with the personalities involved. Kinda like the more I’ve watched you and mark the more attached I’ve become. Not in a fatal attraction way. Not yet. {wicked grin} I’ve missed watching your reactions as of late. I’ve not been well so having a day where I felt good enough to watch has been few and far between, today is a good day. The comedians / contestants started becoming huge fand of the show, so they would beg their agents to get them on the show and practice being aware of their surroundings and trying to be prepared for what the task might be. Richard showed the first signs of that by trying to guess that the inflatable raft (or mattress maybe) was supposed to be inflated and he did that before reading the task so his time wouldn't start. Or like again when Richard what he did with the yoga mat "on the top of that hill." Outside the box thinking really starts taking off this season. I think you'll really love it all! Keep doing this the way you enjoy doing it! No need to excuse it. You make this reaction game unique to you and us fans will keep enjoying it as genuine. 👍

Great cast this season. Dave gorman is great. If you ever have time watch his Googlewhack Adventure special or his show Modern Life is Goodish. Very smart guy. Sara Rob and Al are just funny. And Paul is the wild card.
Thanks! I'm down for anything called Googlewhack Adventure haha. The only person I realized after the fact that I'd had exposure to was Sara. She was in a clip of one of the Graham Norton videos I saw, but very briefly. Everyone else is brand new to me.
@@DavidvsFilm Yeah, the only contestant that I've actually heard say they didn't have a good experience on the show was Doc Brown, and I think there's even doubt about some of his comments to that effect.
I don't know what others think but Paul kinda creeped me out at times in this series. I could never figure out if everything he did was genuinely him or if he was playing a character. There's just things he says and does that leave me a bit uneasy.
While I find him hilarious because of his demeanor, I COMPLETELY get what you are are saying. I think he's just trying to be funny, or maybe he's genuinely awkward in this setting, but I follow you.
Paul is probably one of my least favorite contestants ever from an entertainment point of view. Together with John Kearns. Many contestants were bad at tasks but usually funny. Still lot's of good ones.

Thanks! I'm down for anything called Googlewhack Adventure haha. The only person I realized after the fact that I'd had exposure to was Sara. She was in a clip of one of the Graham Norton videos I saw, but very briefly. Everyone else is brand new to me.
+1 to Modern Life is Goodish. His mischievousness there is totally in line with his cheating in Taskmaster.
I have a big soft spot for this series, and it always pains me that it's only 5 episodes long.

Al has expressed disappointment at being on this series, as this only has 5 episodes but later series have 10 and he wanted to do more tasks

@@DavidvsFilm Yeah, the only contestant that I've actually heard say they didn't have a good experience on the show was Doc Brown, and I think there's even doubt about some of his comments to that effect.

I don't know what others think but Paul kinda creeped me out at times in this series. I could never figure out if everything he did was genuinely him or if he was playing a character. There's just things he says and does that leave me a bit uneasy.
While I find him hilarious because of his demeanor, I COMPLETELY get what you are are saying. I think he's just trying to be funny, or maybe he's genuinely awkward in this setting, but I follow you.
Paul is probably one of my least favorite contestants ever from an entertainment point of view. Together with John Kearns. Many contestants were bad at tasks but usually funny.
Still lot's of good ones.
