AVANT Stump Grinder

Check out this AVANT A438282 Stump Grinder! With a 21.3 inch cutting disc diameter and 20 cutting teeth this attachment is a must have for anyone in the landscaping or tree cutting business!
You can see how the cutting disc spins perpendicular to the operator station which throws wood chips to the side rather than back onto the operator. A rubber damper maintains the wood chips.
Each cutting tooth has 3 cutting edges, so when one side becomes dull, you can simply rotate it and keep grinding!
Grinding happens by simply turning the hydraulic controls on and moving forward/backward with the pedal controls of the loader. This makes for very easy maneuverability through tight spaces and provides the ability to move quickly from one stump to the next!

Works Fine , Just not the Biggest and most powerful . Depends on what you NEED

Not very impressive, considering you were only grinding 3-4" stumps and didn't even take them below grade. I can do the same with a small chainsaw. You had this on a large Avant and still almost stalled it a couple times.

Shall we compare apples to apples? It obviously wouldn’t make sense to buy an Avant to grind stump. However if you have the Avant power unit already why would you buy a$5000 walk behind stump grinder and “bust your butt” when you can have the machine do the work? 😎
Both are about the same money.
Now if you are serious about grinding stumps then you need that $40,000 Vermeer.
