In the school, I went to for my UG here in Nigeria, when you break any lab instrument, you are to pay for it. Also, if you're in a team, and in the cause of working on the team you break any instrument, omoh! The team will contribute money for the replacement.

Yeah before Valentines is a very realistic movie. If you love realistic movies, watch the Strays. I hayte K-dramas as well. Yeah, you pay for glasswares when you break them. But I think it should be covered in lab fees. It’s not right. Thing is, it’s probably not a school thing as well, people just like to exploit others. Shouldn’t there be a cleaner to clean up? You’re not supposed to be the one who cleans it. Oh, you do the right thing lol.
I don't think it is your duty to clean broken glassware sha. When students break glassware in my lab, I show them where the Brush and the dustpan is. They Clean their mess. That's how it should be.
i work in a private university right now and the students too be expecting me to clean up after their mess😂 Ogbeni, ho and carry mop jor🙄 When they break stuffs, i just get their names and other details, so the money be added to their fees for the next semester….Nothing is free here in Naija
