    This is such an easy project to organize spice bottles. Build a simple tiered spice rack from a 2x4 wood board with free plans on Remodelaholic.
    Amy made two versions of the spice rack. The first is a 3 tiered spice rack that holds the small spice bottles great. Note: Amy's pantry shelves are 11″ high.

    The second version is for a 2 tiered spice rack that She can keep her club store (Costco/Sam’s) sized spice bottles behind the rack and still access them.
    She's using this rack in my pantry, but you can also use it in a cabinet, just adjust the length for your cabinet width.
    How to Build a Tiered Spice Rack for under $3!!
    1 - 2″ x 4″ x 8′ board
    7 - 2 1/2″ wood screws
    wood glue
    sandpaper
    paint
    Approximate lumber cost is $3!
    Tools Used
    Miter Saw
    Drill and bit for the screws
    Sander
    Countersink bit

    this was a great help. i have a very narrow cabinet (4" wide) that would be perfect for this project. Nothing is available already made so this helped me formalize my plan to DIY. I do not have all the tools necessary to use with the 2x4 that you suggest, so i'm going to use styrofoam blocks, an exacto knife and cover with contact paper instead.

      every woman alive needs tools...just some basic ones but buy some instead of shoes & make up.

    Love this! We've got our spices in a drawer but should we ever need the space or our needs change, this is totally my new option.

      spices in a drawer...I must say in 66 yrs I have never seen spices stored that way. Inventive!

    I found it was easier just to buy them, I got them for $7 at a container store

      and they can be put on top dishwasher rack to clean.
