So it depends, if you go with the kit you get a MCO document which actually says 1923 etc. Take that to the DMV and your good to go with a little extra depending on the state. For total homebuilt option keep all your receipts and when you do the title work it's registered under "built from parts". Florida is a little strict in this stuff but most states follow the same rule except the few odd ball states.
Thanks! But it's not without sweat blood and tears ... probably more tears hahaha. The hiccups can be frustrating here and there but I'm surprised with how well it's actually going together like a true kit started the motor drop the other day and so far that's going smoothly.
@@GearHeadzGarageUSA , like a big expensive model car, looks well planned out, other than the typical lack of instructions for some parts. I guess it helps to improve your skill set. Lol 😆
@@keithkrause3386 I'm very surprised on that part and considering the amount of items ordered so far I have yet to really run into a lot of missing parts....a bolt here and then but I won't lie.....I do call the tech support like 10 times a day and those guys are great at explaining some of the instructions lack of detail. I am not really sure it's even the assembly manual it's the fact that the manual contradicts the website which contradicts the instructions that ship with the part.....Let's say it's an expensive adult Lego kit you can drive.... without instructions haha
Awesome video and you should join the NTBA national t bucket alliance my father and me have been in the NTBA for 25 years. The next event is in Branson Missouri in May, would love to see you there. There may also be some events closer to you in Florida.
Thanks for watching! I actually looked into the NTBA but I could find an active group in FL. Do you know any, looks like the SUN T's are no longer active? Would love to make it out. I plan on doing the Power Tour 2024 in this thing.
Do you mind if I ask how much you paid for that kit. How complete it was, or are you planning to do a breakdown on everything after you get it complete.
So the kit itself was 4200 - 5200 I added a few extra items. I am keeping an itemized list of EVERYTHING so when it's all done I will post up the final number and full break down. I can tell you so far I'm at 7700 ish but I'm keeping it all in house Speedway as to not double up or buy useless items by mistake. Essentially all the big items are out but I will drop a list as well since the kit does not include one or really tell you what you need to buy. Hope that helps!
@@GearHeadzGarageUSA yeah id be real interested in seeing the final cost too ive heard about 20000 several times but thats pre biden inflation money and honestly the posters never mention inspection or title fees for these things
@@GeorgiaRidgerunner Oh yeah everything exploded post 2020 I saw these kits listed for 2800 a few years back....and let's not even mention a Thirdmember...those things went from 300 bucks to over 1k. I did get a super deal on the motor and trans but were talking super stock rebuilt SBC 350 and an old 100$ TH350 from a Chevelle. I'm going straight Rat but I have seen people waste money on chrome parts etc....id rather put that money into performance items and a blower cam head upgrade when it's all done
@GearHeadzGarageUSA OK Cool , I was mainly asking for personal reasons. I'm waiting on mine to get back from paint. Still need to get a wiring harness, misc. Brake plumbing... you know, all the nickel and dime stuff. Short answer is, I bought mine as a basket case...and I think I stole it. I'm still under 6000. Still watching you finish yours.
@@GearHeadzGarageUSA yeah i was wanting to do a factory five kit but after finding a video of someone actually breaking down the cost and revealing the cost 70000 is out of the realm possibility for me but a t bucket or model a is certainly possible
you could have saved your self a bit of work by simply using your jack to jack the 3rd member into position with the housing in situ. guys do it on their back with a complete car and you have the advantage of a open incomplete chassis.
How does the title work with something like this built from the ground up?

Lol, “the razor blade from the mirror upstairs.”
I'm glad you caught that cause no one else did
Hey how close is your steering rod to your bottom 4 link rod?
I think it's a design flaw it's way too close for comfort they practically touch
