I just bought this soundbar and it works great, even with a TV 12+ years old. Took me some time to get it right though, but with an alternative setup, I have Dolby Digital Plus for my TV and Netflix shows and Dolby Atmos for my PS5.
Trick is to attach the TV receiver box from the provider (KPN in the Netherlands) to a HDMI switch and the PS5 as well to the same switch. The HDMI switch itself is connected to the HDMI (not the ARC port!) of the soundbar. And the soundbar is connected with the ARC port to the ARC port of the TV. All I have to do is to set the HDMI switch right (to tv/Netflix or the PS5).
Reason for this specific setup is that the TV doesn't support passthrough of the received audio signal, and when I connected the TV receiver directly to the TV, it down processed the audio signal to stereo pcm. But with the alternative setup it works great!
Of course, a new TV is better, but not viable for now.

670 is dolby digital and Q700c is atom. Samsung not selling separate rear speaker in india. my question is 5.1 dolby digital or Q700c atom which one is best

If you where able to choose between the samsung hw-q700c and the Harman Kardon Citation Multibeam 1100, what would you choose?
The HK, then would get the sub at a later date.
I've got a Sonos beam gen2, sub mini and 2 x one gen2 rears. Should I keeps these to go with my new Samsung QLED or gen the Q700C system?

Just bought 710c for 339€. You could do video what to do after installing soundbar. For example had to go turm on earc from setti ngs and put some setting to passthrough or auto (dont remember exactly what settings that was. And also had to check that anynet+ is on.
There's a manual for that!

First of all, thanks for the review.I'm getting a very good offer on Q700C($180) in my local store. But I just want to know what I might miss if I go with 700C, apart from 2 side firing drivers in Q800C($470). Are they even close in terms of sound quality?
Glad you enjoyed the review. Given the price you're getting, you really can't go wrong with the 700C.
Those side drivers will be missed but I wouldn't pay nearly 300 more for them.
You will loose a lot. Mainly not a tight bass. Get Q800 series minimum. Anything below Q800 is useless

Wireless only, can't be plugged in (most can't unfortunately)

I think it's a bit of a niche to have it wired (hardcore gamers or serious audiophiles), which this soundbar isn't aimed at either.
419 on amazon but I opted for the q800c for 455 on amazon. Pounds uk that is.
They seem to be undercutting all major retailers.. Maybe to shift stock for 2024 revisions.
Yup, very likely! And good choice given the price differences there. 800c is a notable upgrade and should help better the soundstage presence.

I noticed that the Q700C has a subwoofer with a power of 120W as opposed to the Q600C with a power of 160W interestingly enough, I see you reviewed both of these soundbars, did you notice any difference between the subwoofers?
Not overly, no. Both are decent but nothing to really shout about
@@TotallydubbedHD alright, I’m basically choosing between two costco models, Q60CC and Q7CB, which if i understand it correctly, they are Q600C and Q700B/C models respectively. For $40 more, I am thinking the Q7CB would be a better purchase.

Hard to quanitfy sound; but I'd pick this over the YAS 209.

Would you recommend the Q700 over the Sony s2000? Both are the same price at the moment here in the UK (£300), whereas the Q800 cost £499.
Not tried the Sony, but wouldn't ever recommend their products lol.

Just received yhis from Amazon at £350. I am shocked at the lack of width and soundstage. Good clarity in mids and top frequencies but boomy bass lacks tight punch. No point keeping this if it cannot deliver movement in soundstage or discerning left and right placement of sound. It's going back.

@@TotallydubbedHD I'm just commenting on that as an example without atmos.....stereo separation is severely lacking......a car passing from left to right should present distinctive movement of stereo separation..... It does not excite.
I think my review would say:
Clear mids and upper frequencies.
Boomy sub.
Lacks soundstage.
Annoying screen.
Good value for money at 350.

Having set it up on a new Samsung 75” QN85C today and tested it extensively, I’m happy to report that my expectations were wildly exceeded.
