    13:50 Bonus Round and 2 copies enter the stack. The copies resolve first. Let both resolve.
    13:55 Cast Fork. 2+1 copies enter the stack. We will have 4 more bonus rounds. Again, resolve all bonus rounds except the original bonus round. We now have 6 Bonus Rounds resolved.
    14:07 Cast Twincast. 6+1 copies enter the stack. Make 8 more bonus rounds. Let all bonus rounds resolve. We have resolved 15 this turn.
    14:28: Cast Searing Wind. Make 15+1 copies of it. He can deal 170 damage in increments of 10.

    Props to Jhoira for winning the game with half a million copies of a card I had never heard of, although to be fair it was chaining three extra turns together that actually won the game.

    It was fun doing the searing wind math at the time. I think we ended up at 17 copies of searing wind by the end of it, maximizing the Fork and Twincast by letting all the copies of bonus round except one resolve before casting the next spell. If you think we could've gone higher, let me know how :)

    SOOOOOO SPOILERS AHEAD
    the max number of copies of spells you could get for the end game would be
    1. Bonus round
    2. Bonus round copy 1 from double
    3. Bonus round copy 2 from swarm intelligence
    4. Let the 2 copies resolve first
    5. Original bonus round still on the stack, cast fork on the OG bonus round, which is copied twice by the copies of bonus round, and once by swarm, that's 4 forks.
    6. We have fork make 4 more copies of BR (6)
    7. We could have cast twincast, copying the last fork, copying itself to go infinite here but ignoring that...
    8. We let our 6 forks resolve leaving the original bonus round still on the stack, casting twincast, bonus round copies it 6 times and swarm intelligence once (14)
    9. We let the original bonus round resolve (15)
    10. We cast searing wind, copied 15 times from bonus round, and once from swarm intelligence 170 damage. Not bad.

      So he chained a bunch of things that copied spells, so that one searing wind was...a lot. Alright so.
      Copy from swarm
      Copies from bonus round. I think 6? Plus the original. So at least 7 copies of 10 damage each on the stack. Probably more I'd have to really really math to find out.

    • @phyrexian_dude4645
      @phyrexian_dude4645 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      In a nuttshell, he did a crap ton of copies of Bonus Round which would do X copies of the next spell anyone would cast that turn, then he tapped Kaza reducing the cost of the next sorcery or instant equal to the number of wizards he had which were the copies he did with the Rite of Replication and finally he just one shoted everyone with the X copies of Searing Winds

    • @NordicRest
      @NordicRest 4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      So, he cast Bonus Round, getting a copy from Swarm Intelligence, copy count 1. He targetted that with a spell to copy it, SI copying that. He let those resolve, copy count 3. He then cast another spell to copy it again, so copy count 7. He then let the Bonus Rounds resolve, copy count 9. He then cast Searing Wind, for a total of 10 copies, burning his opponents for a total of 100 damage, taking them out.

    The ending (assuming he did it the way I think) he had 15 Bonus Rounds resolve. (Cast and have 3 on stack, resolve 2 and cast fork, this gets 3 additional forks bringing us to 6 resolved, then cast twin cast which gains 7 copies leaving us with 9 copies of bonus round on the stack, with 6 already gone.)

    Jhoira is such a fun commander built like this. When I saw her it the board I was like KILL IT NOW !!!!
    My previous experience with Jhoira players is not great that’s maybe why i react that way.

    • @ProfBrunoClemente
      @ProfBrunoClemente 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Jhoira get a bad rep because usually people just run eldrazi monstrocities and board wipes.
      You suspend the creatures and wipe the board just before removing the last time counter and now the board is empty and you have a powerhouse that is free to act. A lot of Jhoira decks not only remove creatures, it has mass land destruction too.
      I do not play her that way, although effective, It isn't fun for me and for others, but I can see why she gets a bad rep.
      This deck Martin used is more interesting than just using this bread and butter strategy. Great game, with a great finish!

    • @froggystrap1232
      @froggystrap1232 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Bruno Clemente You’re totally right. I wanted to build a Jhoira deck when I first got into commander but when my first ever Edh game was against a Jhoira Eldrazi deck and a Kalia, I quickly changed my mind. I think being at the other hand of the sticks can be useful and I hope people who are building this type of decks are fully aware of how awful you can make someone feel.

    When you copy a Volcanic Offering and change the targets, you don't go through the process of letting opponents pick some targets. You just change all 4 to whatever you want. But Martin should probably have Swan Songed the original in response to the Reiterate to prevent both of them anyway.

    Am I misunderstanding how copying spells work, or did I miss some other copies? Because as far as I know, there are:
    Three copies of double round
    Two copies of fork
    Two copies of twincast
    + searing wind is eight copies of 10 damage.
    That’s not enough to wipe the table, which would require at least twelve copies.
