The song is the same written by Tommy Taurima (who worked for a number of years in Hawaii at PCC) for his grand daughter Terina Pomare.

HEY TERINA SING THIS OH SORRY CALLED OUT MY SISTER'S NAME BYE LOVE YOU MY BIG SISTER (TERINA)
i aunty called terina
mean maori maori mean
This is how it is originally sung. Before the "Nau Terina" version. So if you are saying this is wrong, your probably singing the newer version. Which is a bit different in tune and ha some different words. But this song is years old. My Aunty used to sing it to me when I was little down the beach. Like 18 years ago. When I was 5
Yes your so right these are the original words and it's the old version. This song was written by Tommy Taurima back in the 60s or 70s and he wrote it for his moko Te Rina Pomare and was always sung in parties back then. I really think he got this tune from a puppet show on television called Stingray and the song was Marina Aqua Marina back in the 60s. When I first heard the song Te Rina I said to my brother man that's the same song as Marina and my brother totally agreed.
***** Cool it's lovely.
