This is such a good report! These idiots that say “why haven’t the civilians evacuated” from this or that place need to watch it. Surprise attacks, no telecoms, no public transport (because drivers have evacuated their own families) not knowing where the orcs are… And of ocurse, who expected them to make war on, specifically, apartment blocks and supermarkets, schools and hospitals?

Great journalism here Ira - your productions are very professional!!
The heroism and bravery of the National Guard forces who were first on the scene in Hostomel changed the course of this WAR!
It sounds like the Ukraine defense plan was executed incredibly fast and prevented the invaders the ability to get set up at the airport and land their forces - within striking distance of the Capital.
In my view - this incredible effort in the first few hours and days - the incredible bravery and fantastic reactions - will turn out to be the major impact on geopolitical outcomes in that area of the world - forevermore!
HEROYAM SLAVA - honour and glory to those brave fighters!
    Slava Ukraini.

Cool images of the initial helicopter assault. Most of those VDV in the helicopters that landed in Hostomel died under horrible circumstances (shrapnel from mortar, snipers, mines, etc.). They are all "pots and pans". Couldn't have found a better ending.

I'm LOVING your new channel. The stories you are telling are absolutely priceless. This is especially true since you are telling these stories as they happen. They are not just what the people remember happening to them, but rather descriptions of what is happening RIGHT NOW! (with a mattet of weeks).
I'm wondering if you or your family have any religious connections. Are you Catholic, Jewish, Orthodox, or some other religion? I ask because I'm wondering if the churchs/synagogues/mosques are open or helping the needy or just what they are doing. Or perhaps they have been pushed into hiding.
God bless you, your people and Ukraine!

@@UA_Courage It is sad that they are destroying Houses of God. But the way I look at it is that they are just buildings. The REAL thought is that what they symbolize is the faith, belief and trust that the people have in God.
Please know that I am NOT making the destruction of the Houses of Worship, trivial. It is NOT, but just know that even IF the building is gone, the Faith that they represent stays strong!

Great first story. For countries in the future, if the US and other countries are saying that Russia is massing very quickly and at massive amounts on your border, you might want to listen. The military seemed to understand it, at least to some degree.
Some Ukrainians made the serious mistake of thinking that Russians being some of your friends meant that Pootler was your friend.
I'm glad to hear that a lot of Kyiv is relatively unharmed. I had a friend who went to live in Kyiv for a couple of decades doing Music Mission Kyiv, utilizing some of the Kyiv orchestra and a professional choir he put together to give Ukrainians the chance to hear and perform live offerings of all the great masters (that weren't Ukrainian or Russian, in other words stuff they may have never heard performed live).
He said there were tears around the room at several of those presentations. I can't imagine hearing some of the masters for the first time. They are powerful the hundredth time. The mission has now been taken over totally by Ukrainians which is, I suppose, what he had hoped for, ultimately. The Ukrainians I met were some of the sweetest people, and this has been breaking my heart.

Orcs are doing it all the time. It helps Ukraine. Gives orc's location and Ukraine forces can take them out. Ukraine can do it to just give some time before sharing so Ukrainian forces and people are kept safe.

Hello Ira and husband, I have to give credit to Denys Davidov for sharing your channel, I subscribed immediately after watching one of your earlier videos about destroyed Ruzzian tanks.
Yourself and your husband and Denys are great representatives of the Ukrainian people, just lovely people with great humour.
Propaganda is an extreme weapon of war as most Russians have absolutely no Idea that ANY of this is even taking place! 🤯
I have to say that one should try not to attach Russian military to all Russian people as there are so so many Russians who are totally against their government's actions but have no way of doing a single thing about it. It will take utmost courage from the good people of both Nations to get past this absolute HELL of a nightmare!
So many intercepted calls from Russian soldiers are spelling out that they're not human, however they are a product of a Russian society (or military) that is rotten to the core.
I hope that this nightmare will end for Ukrainians asap💔❤🙏💪 🇬🇧 🇺🇦

Pootin said one day I will invade Ukraine,
but when his men got there bombs became rain.
Ten thousand of his soldiers die a month "this still is not enough" said pootin.
While his orc tanks drove around stealing and lootin.
Thirty thousand men came back wounded and this will not halt
so pootin shot his generals and said this was their fault.

I got wounded outside of Sumi. I live in the states, but I was visiting my mother-in-law in Berlin. When the war started my brother-in-law drove me to the Ukrainian border with the gear that I had overnight mailed from home. My body armor and my rifle optics. I was on the line by the second of March. In late March I was too slow ducking away from a mortar round and my right leg and my ass got perforated(full of shrapnel) so I got sent home and the doctors finally took the last piece of shrapnel out of my ass. It was stuck in the bone and was the one piece that wasn't taken out in Germany. Good luck to you. - OZZ

Hello! This is a harrowing witness statement from you guys.
I am curious were there ever a time before the invasion, before Crimea etc when you felt actual ”brotherhood” with Russia?
    Much respect from Sweden 🇸🇪

We weren’t brotherhood at all and never will be. All this songs whispering by zombi medias since long time ago.

@@UA_Courage ok, it is kind of what I suspected, the “brotherhood” angle felt so strange considering how much insane propaganda has target Ukraine the last years.
thank you for your honest answer! I wish success for Ukraines army 🇺🇦

Greetings to you Ira, Zhenya, and the small warrior unafraid of gray wolves. And much respect for your on the ground reporting of the first days of the Orc invasion attempt to secure Kiev. Very well done.
The full story of the heroic defense of the Hostomel airport will be revealed later, but it will certainly considered a most important battle.
Shooting down 2 IL-76 transports filled with elite airborne DVD troops along with many KA-52 helicopters prevented the establishment of an air bridgehead from which men and materials could be staged. Given that Ruz public statement of capturing or killing Resident Zelensky in order to install a puppet govenment, it can be guessed that a flight of attack helicopters were intended to quickly achieve that goal. But as Operator Starsky mentioned the UAF beat back repeated atrempts to secure the airfield with huge numbers of Orc cargo 200. Possibly 200-300 on the two IL-76 planes alone. Ukraines heros stopped them cold buying precious time in the first days.
The full story would make an epic movie....that needs to be made some day.

You were very close to death or worse. Those tanks you saw where in perfect range for N-law or Javlin. Meaning you were in range of the tanks. Even after 24 years in US Army would have left when I saw those. Next time unless you have a bunch of Javlins. It is time to run.
You want to help your soldiers. Cook hot meals and deliver them. Saves them time. Time is a resource. Good luck now I have to watch your husband's videos 😊
