Eli you are becoming a wonderful reporter and a marvelous ambassador for your country. I have always been interested in Russia, but now I feel I must visit it someday! Thanks.
Much like the indigenous peoples of North America, the Sami live in harmony with nature. Thank you Eli for taking us on this wonderful tour! I would love to hear and see more about the different ethnic groups and unique natural locations of people in your country.
Small populations live in harmony with nature, to a certain degree. Urbarnization demands large amounts of industrial and other activities. But any rural area or small city in the world lives in harmony with nature. Look at small towns in western countries and you will see.

Steven, go take a shot of medicine to help your intellectual capacity. It's just a style of buildings that were common in the USSR because it was fast, heap, convenient and efficient for its time. If you didn't know, the current Saami areas were within the USSR now connect the dots.
@@eipiplusone3791 Obviously I knew that based on my comment. So as an intellectual who clearly is an expert on Soviet architecture, how exactly did they quickly, cheaply and conveniently build it in such a remote area? I actually know the answer to this, but let's hear what you think.
Very interesting episode. Most Sami seem to live in Scandinavia and this is the first video of Russian Sami that I have seen. They live a difficult but committed life style and its very impressive. It seems however that they suffer from some political discrimination and this makes it more challenging for them. The native American culture has similar issues. Sad to see this.
What "political discrimination"? What are you talking about? Understand that Russia is a country of opportunities! Understand that in Russia it is bad form to boast of one's nationality. You will not be elected the head of an enterprise on a national basis .. Only and exclusively according to human and professional criteria. You can be anyone - Russian, Ukrainian, Asian or African. It all depends on what kind of person you are and what professional you are. By the way, the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation is Shoigu, a Tuvan by nationality. Tuvans are not a large nationality, about 250 thousand people. .Do not mix politics where there is no politics in principle))
They live in Samiland. Which is northern Scandinavia and Russia,, and they have the rights to migrate across and borders in the respective area.. and the majority are actually quite wealthy nowadays
