A lot of Indians suffer from post-colonial identity crisis. For them everything which is western is perfect and best and everything which is indigenous is inferior. That's the legacy of imperialism in India.
I only learned western languages because it's convenient when I have to interact with the people of foreign origin and culture. but I never let myself be educated with a western mind. The worst part of the current reality is that Indians make their own countrymen feel ashamed of themselves if they can't speak ENGLISH. It's SAD but TRUE!!

I listened to quite a few videos with Sadhguru.. While doing that, i noticed he has a different attitude toward women than toward men. And listening to what he said to this lady i realize he lets himself worked up by huge pride by being indian. Being Indian is absolutely the same as being any other nationality, it is not better, nor worse ! God has the same love for humans. Apart from that, the fact that english is spoken in India, truly helped very many indians to travel and settle abroad, for example în canada,where now live lots of indian people, and thrive în a foreign culture, a culture based on english language simply because it was not settled by Hindi peoiple, but by the english nation...

Indian food, yoga, history, philosophies, discoveries, respect, openess, business, technology, could go on. In times of stress and mental health issues, mindfulness is used in west to help and to reduce physical pain. A common criticism is about the caste system, but that has a history and has been proved wrong by Modi being a tea sellers son becoming Prime Minister. Even many Japanese religions are based on Hinduism. India is a real treasure trove, enjoy.

It is true ,I and people around me used to be ashamed about our English people who spoke their regional languages were considered uneducated. Education system by East India company was always designed to separate Indians from their culture. Thankfully in resent 3-5 years things have changed . me and the people around me have reconnected with our culture and are proud of it .its all thanks to the age of internet ,media is no longer controlled by those so called English speaking elites, people freely talk their minds in their own languages and this has led to people realizing that no one's superior.

Let me fill in a little context as to what he meant with English speaking. A large majority of people who were speaking english were thought of as Posh/high class people,basically were thought to be literate . While the ones that could not ,fell into the idea of being uneducated , although that being not true as language doesnt mean how intelligent or educated a person is, for the longest time that is what it was made to be.

Harsh reality of India post british era. We never got independence in 1947. British handed power to Indian British. 1 billion people in 2000 and almost more than 50% cant speak english is huge number and treated second class citizen for it. We have lived in those times.
We can speak our mother tongue Fluently.India has 22 official languages including english.and 1400+ dilects. Today our current Prime Minister speaks in hindi those who don't understand can use Transmitter
