Here is another idea. Cover the whole card front with Washi or strips of paper, the die cut a background in a complimentery solid color card stock. The holes would let the Washi or paper strips show through. No dies.

They all are really lovely. However, if I were to choose one only, my favorite is the one with just one line of hearts that says, "You make my heart flutter". I like the design but would change the words to, "Thinking of You".

Love this idea. I had a thought when you mentioned scrapbook paper strips if you have some double-sided tape you can make your own washi tape by sticking the paper strips on one side, and then you can cut it to the length you want. You can make a whole role of your own washi tape and where one piece of paper ends another begins, so even the smallest piece of paper can be used.
