I had an 02 540i sport with a dinan exhaust. Sounded much better then that.
Sounds really good, but to be honest, the E60 generation of the 5 series was the best because back then you could get a 5.0 NA V10 on the M5 which was an amazing and a very unique work horse back then if you ask me

It’s a a 4.4 so it’s a small V8. Definitely won’t give you the same sound as a Corvette or Challenger that have massive v8 engines
Sound horrible. Looks restrictive as hell too. That suitcase resonator needs to go. Replace it with a dual intake/dual outlet muffler in it's place.

more like 4 years 40k they're usually breaking apart... the older ones are MUCH better than the new ones!
My 2014 328 has 78k no problems. People just want to talk shit about em you just need to do preventative maintenance but that goes for all cars
i got a 99 540i with 230k miles most reliable vehicle I've ever owned. bought it when it only had 78k miles.
If the car has been maintained properly it should be ok
