Imagine these scenarios: -Erika wins for Finland and she gets to compete in a semifinal where Germans can vote -Tommy Cash wins for Estonia and he gets to compete in semifinal where Italians can vote
-Grisana wins for San Marino and she gets to compete in a semifinal with Ukraine -Also Luxembourg with French language song performs in a semifinal where France can vote
Can you just imagine the first half of semi-final 1 IF these people win: Mans Zelmerlöw - 🇸🇪 Masha Kondratenko - 🇺🇦 July Jones - 🇸🇮 Væb - 🇮🇸 Tommy Cash - 🇪🇪 Justyna Steczkowska - 🇵🇱 Henka/Josh - 🇵🇹
@@tomasornrunarsson9682 I wouldn't say Justyna is a 100% lock for Poland. "Lusterka" has been going massively viral in the country and the nf will supposedly be entirely public vote. If it's good live, it might sweep the competition. One thing's for sure, it will be between these 2 acts, the rest don't even matter 😅
I think people are exaggerating how much danger Norway is in, because they have such high standards for MGP. Especially if they go with Lighter, which will allegedly have a big stage show. Adam Woods is a producer, he's used to Melfest and he was impressed with the staging. Kyle Alessandro from what I know is part Spanish, and has some Spanish influence in his stage show. That, as well as sharing a semi with Sweden and Iceland, and being 2nd half, I think Norway just got a lot safer despite a weaker MGP year. If they don't go with Lighter (or possibly Nataleen), all bets are off though. If they go with WigWam or Bobbysocks, they are not safe at all.
If UMK selects Erika, im interested to see how Germany's voting goes when there is a song with actually German in it, since they surely won't send song with their language 🤣. Finland is missing all their usuall "friends", but since UMK selection is quite strong this year, i doubt they need any extree free points to qualify. Unless the remaining unreleased national selections/songs ae overwhelmingly good. Latvia, Finland, Israel and maybe Malta seem like the only sure qualifiers right now if they pick right songs.
Obviously i think people are more attracted towards the First Semi's because it holds most of the countries that (on paper) have performed the best and have currently released their songs the earliest so its more chunky. The Second Semis is packed with countries on record having more darkhorse and unpredictable entries with currently not much standouts other than Greece, Ireland and somewhat Malta (SO FAR). But we'll see, the second semis is more Central Eastern europe dominated, imo and they love to surprise.
LATVIA: If Līgo is selected, we get plenty points from across many countries. Our neighbors - Lithuania, many latvians living in - Ireland, UK, and then the traditional sound gets points from every Balkan country. If everything goes their way, it's an easy Q.
I tried to post this on the wiwibloggs comments page, but it didn't go through for some reason, so I am posting it here. Ladies and Gentlemen, may I present to you the semi final allocation statistics updated to 2025. @@GilmourAttard-s5p thank you. I was thinking more of a website to run. You don’t know how many different kinds of statistics I’ve made related to Eurovision. I actually have a more detailed breakdown of each countries semifinal assignment from 2008 to 2025 because I was always intrigued that some countries just kept being allocated to one semifinal like Denmark and semifinal two and I wondered about the frequency.
I think Ireland are really lucky with the other countries they’ve been drawn with in SF2 - Latvia, Lithuania, and Malta being the main ones. Also having the UK voting in SF2 should be a good boost to their chances of getting into the GF.
honestly i think Montenegro is kind of cooked. that first half of semi 2 (imo) while has countries who have struggled, most are currently not sucking and probably will send something very good. i’m worried for montenegro
Wiwibloggs, You almost commented about the chances of qualification and their potential of countries in SF1. Somehow, Azerbaijan turned invincible for you. Disappointed as Azerbaijani follower...
Because he is from Congo originally and French is his mothertongue. He is more fluent in French than in Dutch or English. He has said that his song is bi-lingual and the assumption is that it will be French/English or French/Dutch. If it is English/Dutch, I for one would be very dissappointed.
Cyprus might get some votes from Norway - bringing on two strong Norwegian songwriters in Linda Dale and Elsie Bay might be enough for a little favoritism. It was for Amanda Tenfjord.
One thing to note: switzerland also loves voting for albania aswell so i could possibly see 12 points from switzerland
12 to Portugal for sure!! 🇨🇭🇵🇹
Italy too
Those colors are very bold
Total headache 😵💫
Omg i thought the same i got a headache
Glad to see Lucy again. One of my fave wiwibloggers.
LOOOOVE her
I have a feeling Josh will bring an amazing stage along because his voice and his music is already a masterpiece ❤❤ 🇵🇹 portugal
If I remember Andrew Lambrou didn’t finish in top 10. It came 12/26 in final.
That awkward moment when Cyprus don't end up in the top 10 because the greek juries only gave it 4 points :O

Im suprised u didnt talk about Malta , there is alot of hype , we have three songs that can do well

13:46 they didn’t necessarily scrape through, 4th in the semi was pretty good but that fall off in the final was harsh

Belgium will deff go through tho
