recently my GODOX AD600BM strobe face into a problem of not turning on properly. it shows as NCT1 : OK NTC2 : OK BATT : SPI FAN : OFF sometimes fan start for a while and then turn off. but I don't see the standard screen that I can set flash durations or it's not even firing with the godox XIc trigger. please help me with a solution. Thanks in advance!
Oh my gosh - kept seeing S next to my radio symbol on the strobe display. I thought the S was for Slave. Thank you for telling me it means SONY! Lol! Why would I not want to set my strobe in slave (I.e. OFF)?
How can we use the strobe with wires to camera if wireless X1 is not working (if on site photoshoot & can't fix at the time). Which strobe plugs into which plug on a Canon? Tried the 3.5mm into Strobe into 'Mic" on Camera which doesn't work. Would you use the USBn on the strobe into the "A/V Out Digital"? Need a manual wired alternative in case X1 not working.
+Maureen Heron you would need to use the "PC Sync" port on your camera or trigger, and Canon/Nikon have their own sync/accessory port that will have a "headphone type" plug on the end that you'd plug into the strobe to manually trigger it. You will however need to set your own manual levels. Alternatively, a spare x1t might be a better option. Cheers!
Think I heard you say high speed sync. Was thinking between that, the Godox 400pro or the xplor 400-600. Looking for a good hss/TTL for outdoor and indoor use.
Speaking very generally, more power will give you more options for creative lighting. However, not all applications need “maximum powa!” so depending on your needs, or your wallet, you can decide how much is necessary.
Something weird happened to me, hopefully you can help man. The channels and groups doesn't appear, only the M for manual and that's it. I have Nikon and Fuji cameras, both using the Godox transmitter for both brands. The "antenna" icon is not showing up either. There's no communication whatsoever between the cameras and the strobe. Any ideas?
@@ElleEdwards_Inc I wish i could help you, this happened to me 6 years ago. I still use the Godox with no issue, for Nikon and Leica. So I found a solution back then, not sure which one. Maybe you could try updating the godox, that's the first thing I would do. Good luck!
It does! Although that’s more about what device you’re using as the master, and which camera you’re using. That said, most triggers and cameras support that function. S1/S2 for some older cameras/triggers, for others, you’ll find it in the camera menus or in the trigger settings.

Hey have you noticed when using the x1ts with the ad600bm and say a tt685, thatvWhen you set the group for the 600bm to manual and set the group for the tt685 to ttl and take the photo that only the tt685 will fire? Only way to get both to fire with the xt1s is to set them both to manual
controlling power of AD600BM with X1trigger for canon .. is that possible?? .. as far i know AD600BM is a manual stobe not ttl ,, bt how can U do that . please Explain :)
You can control power using the X1T. TTL just means you can't use information from your camera to automatically set light levels. You always have to manually chose power levels with a non-TTL light. As far as how goes, this video should help: th-cam.com/video/gdp2_TDiq_s/w-d-xo.html
Amit, in TTL model, flash light is adjusted (using 2.4 GHz RF signals) sent from camera via XT1. In manual model, you will have to set it on Trigger( XT1) mounted on Camera. You don't need to touch Strobe every time to change the power settings (as in past days) , you can do it from XT1 trigger.
Thanks for this nice video. I am thinking to use this inside a wedding hall for a wedding shoot. Can I connect it to constant power supply continuously while shooting? Will it deteriorate battery life?
You bet! Depending on when you bought it, it may need a firmware update. Also, a fuji compatible transmitter will be required for full functionality (X1T-F or Xpro-F).
@@ShortCutGuides I have it set to Manual once flash fires multi is there on the strobe it still works but it should not say multy what am I doing wrong
You rock! This is the ONLY decent youtube on the setting up of this flash and the trigger. Keep em coming. Thank you!!!
Bought the BM version over 3 years ago now on a killer black Friday deal. It is my work horse. The only thing I fear is for it to fall.
I feel you bud 😅
I just purchased this light and excited to get started with it
that's awesome! Feel free to find us on facebook and share your result!
Is the Godox AD600B compatible with the Godox X2T?
Simple and to the point
My test fire is not working when pushing the on board button. Is there a reason why it doesn't?
Thank you so much

I would start with re-loading the firmware. You can download the loader and firmware from godox, just make sure you have a windows PC to use it on.
Can we use this strobe with power source instead of using it with battery ?
+Ahsan Saeed yes, there is an AC adapter available for it.
@@ShortCutGuides does it come with the box? Or have to purchase seperately?
@@64viji There isn't a case that comes with this.

Perhaps if you were using a non Godox trigger/receiver. But technically, you'd always have this light in a slave mode.
Thank you
I have a Sony A6600 -- how do I get the body to pick up the trigger? I have it attached but no trigger
Make sure your channel and group letters match for the flash you’re using. Also check that “fill” mode is enabled on the camera.

good day,, if you turn on the modeling light of the ad600 does the modeling light dim/off when taking picture or when the flash fire?
The modelling light is very weak. Easily overpowered by the ad600. It's *just* enough to help you figure where light is being cast, and help with AF.

Hi, how do I change the setting of 1/256 to 1/16 on the unit. Which buttons do I press? Thanks so much for your help!
You should just be able to use the jog-dial by default.

What is the diffrence between bm and b veirsion are they similer
BM is fully manual, no TTL.

If anyone can answer this please. Can you use the light while the power is plugged in at the same time or is it not possible?
Short answer is no. If you want to do that, there is an AC adapter available.
Long answer: you’ll break your battery and risk fire.
@@ShortCutGuides thanks found the answer already 😂. Yes the adapter. Im getting me one of those. Thanks

You can buy an AC adapter that replaces the battery on the back of the unit.
Illuminati Lights & Strobes Thank you! Is there a Godox adaptor available? Do you recommend any brand?
There is a Godox adapter available. Sadly we don't sell it and it doesn't seem to be posted to their site. I will try to find and link later.
Thanks!
does this work with fujifilm cameras?

How change channel? Your ch8
Can u recommend a good lighting stand for this strobe
I would recommend any that advertise as having "Air-cushion" that helps catch the strobe if its accidentally loosed too fast and falls into the stand.
This AD600bm is not triggered how can I do it am engineer
I need more info. Are you within 1 meter? Which trigger are you using? Do you hear any beeps? Etc…
Do AD600BM do HHS with out having TTL?
Absolutely. You'll just have to set your levels manually.
Hay thanks, it means that the only difference between AD600B and AD600BM is TTL?
+Saeed Ahmad correct. Only difference is TTL.
whats the difference between b and bm?\
TTL. If you want to use TTL, you’ll want to get the “B”.
what the difference between godox ad600b and ad600bm
600b has ttl (and costs more).BM is manual only (no metering).
thank you
WHAT IS THE GROUP BUTTEN
so you can assign the strobe to be controlled independently of other strobes. i.e. only group A fires or B and at different power levels.
Woww
Why in manual it goes to mail to everyrime
Hi! I am not sure what your meaning was here. What can I help with?
@@ShortCutGuides just wonder when I put my light in manual and I pop the strobe it says multi
Ah. You haven’t pushed the mode button enough. TTL - Multi - Manual.
@@ShortCutGuides I have it set to Manual once flash fires multi is there on the strobe it still works but it should not say multy what am I doing wrong
I see, then you probably have multi in your trigger then. When in slave mode, the strobe takes info from the transmitter.
ad600 not work reseting
reload the firmware could also be helpful.
