Frame is looking great! I’m new to TH-cam and your videos have given me inspiration to tackle a build myself and put it out there for everyone to criticize 😎 keep up the good work.
Make sure to save your kickstand. First bike I hard tailed in high school I forgot to save the kickstand and then later had to spend an hour digging through the metal bin to find it
You got one of the best bobber building page! You actually explain things and also show how. Most other just time lapse with no explanation and just a super fast forward video 👎 Which is not good for watching a "BUILD" video 🤷🤦🏼♀️. So thank you for being rad and showing how to actually build some shit!! 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Great job. Does anyone out there knows how much wheel span do we get after install the hardtail? How much does the wheel gets pushed to the back? Thank you very much.
Where are you located? You said headed to riverside. Thats like 10 miles away from me. Having headlight issues with my bobber hopefully you can throw in some knowledge on how to fix it?
Hey, this series inspired me to do the same thing to my 1979 cb650, my question is did voodoo vintage give you directions on where to cut your frame? I just received my frame and I’m trying to figure out where to cut it. Thanks
Steven Fortier I've used grinders with and without, my air cut off wheel didn't even come with one new (Silver Eagle). With that said, I've saw guys have chunks cut their arm open and one picture of a guy who took 2/3 of a 4 & 1/2" grinding wheel to the chin...like it was embedded. So now I try ensure the important parts of my body are in the safe zone at least lol
Exactly, piping has a seam running all along, it's basically a flat piece of metal rolled into a circle and welded all along, but the dude didn't know. Tubing is a solid poured hot metal extruded into shape. Piping is for plumbing etc and not for automotive or especially for a motorcycle frame.
I really love these videos, although it annoys me, how much you can weld and cut a frame in the US here in Denmark, if i cut the frame, or weld on it, its not allowed to use the bike and you cant get it registered :( so we have to be very creative, cus we are very limited.........
Here in canada I can get the ownership for a frame and then do whatever I want with it as long as the vin on the neck matches the ownership! I'm actually going to be using a 70s z1000 frame and putting a shovel head motor in it and springer front end
The welding in the video is tig and inert gas or lens mixture. Better inert since it is on iron and not austenitic steel. It can be done with any type of welding machine, just use the right fill material. Better if flush ... mig. With a gas mixture for iron. Because using too rich mixtures would generate cracks and risk breaking if stressed.
I was wondering if you could maybe help me with a battery question? Prob a dumb one but I have a 86 454LTD with a VT700c motor.... would you know if I still would be able to run a 4 cell antigravity? Or do you have any other battery recommendations? Thanks in advance! Oh yea congratulations on all the hard work paying off with the handbuilt show acceptance.
Of course! You can do anything you put your kind to! It’s all about having fun and building it for yourself, not anyone else. It’s your bike, not theirs.
Bobber build?? Most stuff are bought. frame welds, paint, and tire assembly are all done by someone else. I am sure you can do those on your own, so please do. This is just a lego bike.
Sir.. Im also a bike lover and become a custom motorcycle modifier is my only childhood dream.... But here there is no school, courses, training academies... To get skilled and pursue the only dream I want to learn get skilled under experienced and extremely talented people like you......i will you please teach me..... Please 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 Your reply is very precious for me 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 Please help
The Patreon page pretty clearly states the limitations on who can win the bike, and the limitations are very reasonable - people living in the lower 48 of the US with a valid motorcycle license. International shipping of a motorcycle would add an incredible cost and a lot of red tape for a custom builder who is doing this build in his free time.
You guys are so talented. I've done autobody work and paint for 32 years. Always wanted to build custom bikes. New venture. Dream big. God bless
MP, so impressed with the work you're doing on these builds. Hats off to ya, brother!!
Thank you, fine sir. MP
now THESE are custom bikes! Love it keep em comin MotoPilot!
Frame is looking great! I’m new to TH-cam and your videos have given me inspiration to tackle a build myself and put it out there for everyone to criticize 😎 keep up the good work.
Very nice. Makes me want my 82 CB650 back. I was nice and sold it to my friend for $100 for his first motorcycle. I’m a good guy like that lol.
Love the series great work. I have the same Fender and struts but haven't mounted them yet can't wait to see how it looks when ur done.
Primo powder coating, looking good Mister!
Cheerz!
looking good . The hard tail came out nice. Love the series .
Very nice! Looks waaaaay better! Great move on the welding brother!! BRAAAAP
Thanks BRAH!
Make sure to save your kickstand. First bike I hard tailed in high school I forgot to save the kickstand and then later had to spend an hour digging through the metal bin to find it
LOL... Good point. Already entered my mind but thanks for the reminder. MP

Hardtail was the way to go. The shocks just looked out of place with that weird angle they were going to be. Awesome job 👍🏼👍🏼
Good video. When that string is on the backbone it is a good time to make a mark or dot to line up the rear wheel.
Great job. Does anyone out there knows how much wheel span do we get after install the hardtail? How much does the wheel gets pushed to the back? Thank you very much.

Welding skill is very good.
good series man, great watching!
TC Bros for the win!!!!!!
I’m in salivating awe!
It is looking good 😎👍

Glad to see you running that grinder without the stupid guard, those things just get in the way.

Where did u got that hardtail kit?
The frame is made with tubing, not pipe. Big difference.
Ótimo trabalho muito

Master welder ... But must learn to point the frame on the bench. Especially if it is tig welded.
Love it.. I've been slowly modifying my 82. I can't find the intake on tc brothers and mine need replaced badly.... please help
make one
hello. I would have liked to see how it came out on the HONDA frame !!!!
Looking great

Fantástico muy creativo e aprendido mucho
May I know where I can buy a hardtail?
What metal did you use?

Sorry, no idea
min 4:29- are the rims cracked?
No, they are multi-piece wheels.
Where did you find those intake boots?
Ótimo trabalho muito bom
Who's your powder coated I also live in riverside looking for powder coater thx moto pilot
R & R in corona
Did he say heli-arc weld? 🤣
i have a honda hawk cb400t 1980 is it even possible making that a bobber
Of course! You can do anything you put your kind to! It’s all about having fun and building it for yourself, not anyone else. It’s your bike, not theirs.
I’d love to win this bike and donate but I’m not able to join cause I live in the northern Indiana great bike tho
Do you need the frame to be engineered because it has been chopped and welded? Thanks
No. There are certain ways to do it, and do it properly. We can build entire suspensions, truck and car frames, roll cages, etc in the United States.
Tuff bike in the intro
Hey can u send me the sit u get ur hard tails from
Nice
is it me? or is your rim cracked? 4:28
These rims are a bit odd. They are multi-piece wheels and riveted together. MP
what welder did you use for this project ?
It's a tig
sir pls give me a plan to work on electric bike

I’ll bet he has some old Vanilla Ice tapes around somewhere.

BUUUHH - You hold a competition without saying that only a few persons can win this bike!!!! So why support you then??
The Patreon page pretty clearly states the limitations on who can win the bike, and the limitations are very reasonable - people living in the lower 48 of the US with a valid motorcycle license.
