- A late afternoon in the hot summer month of July we went into the swamps at Lake Martin at Lafayette, Louisiana. The Spanish moss was hanging down from the Cypress and Tupelo trees and the alligators were either sunbathing on a log or lurking close to the water surface. There was an abundance of greenery and as we entered more open areas we got to see lots of birds like the Blue Heron. It was a great experience and we really enjoyed the flora and fauna.

It's impressive to see how perfectly Rockstar crafted the Louisiana swamps on RDR2. When I watch this video, I see Bayou NWA.
Or Mafia 3
I think Rockstar games did a good job when they invented Louisiana
Rdr2 and Resident evil 7 did an incredible job of depicting Louisiana swamps
@@thebigballerboy1268 Invented? What are you smoking?
"What a place to make your home!"
- It's nice, ain't it?
Absolutely magical. You must preserve the wetlands and the swamps of Louisiana at all costs Louisiana has the only unique wetlands in the entire world. Please take care of this unique eco system wonderland it’s so precious and lovely. I love Louisiana. 💖⚜️
I believe it is 😊 i thoaght would be nice to have the aligators as friends and guides 😊 as for these swamps i say there are flooded forests 😊
That's nightfolk country.
Omg that's unworldly. I ve always wanted to see something like that in person
Highly recommended! We loved the experience.
Fr imagine back in those days how it must have felt.
It's not difficult. Get out.
@@Limewave Thanks for the vid. They use those weed wacker type motors on them boats?
@@thomastuorto9929 I really have no idea and have very little knowledge about boat motors.
The United States of America is truly a beautiful country
What a beautiful landscape... as long as you're not in a survival situation ;)
I was truly amazing!
It has predators and water but in return you have many animals to prey on birds and their eggs, fish, tortoise and crocs for sum people there's more but you get the idea
As someone from the UK, we never get to see alligators in person but it's must be an experience
Thanks for your comment. Yes, it really was amazing.
Although in all fairness, you have the Lake District, Cornwall, Snowdonia, Stac Pollaidh, the Yorkshire limestone pavement ... 🙂
Wait till you see a saltwater crocodile from Australia, alligators are pussys compared to our crocodiles
😱 red dead redemption 2! Lagras my favorite place in game 😍 I love this place
Lol
That was in a movie with lou diamond phillips called red water bull shark swam up river and was on a RAMPAGE. I liked the scenes with CAJUN SETTLEMENTS.
Nice video
Yep , that’s what im here for.
I am scared of that place like night folks and ghost
Majestic and creepy at the same time. Nice video.
Thank you. Remember all as majestic but it’s of course always a little thrilling when you know the alligators probably are more aware of your presence than you’re of theirs ;)
Swamps are so underrated for trips. I've been at least 15 different ones. And everytime i have fun. I usually go deep into them with single kayak and do some solo camping. Haven't been to this one yet. But i added it to my list. Thanks for the footage!
Absolutely beautiful
Look at all the gators patiently waiting for somebody to fuck around and find out!🥰🥰
If only I could live in an automated boat house on this swamp while playing video games, drinking, and eating.
I'm proud to say I was born and raised in Southeast Louisiana. This scenery is phenomenal 💖👌. I live close to the swamps and wildlife on the countryside.
How many bodies you think lie in the swamps of Louisiana?
@@luiss.3866 many
Hello from Central Europe. what kind of trees are these? 3:20
@@akosbogar1885 bald cypress
I love the way those trees look!
We do too! It really was an amazing experience.
I remember going through these swamps in a canoe in Florida as a kid. They really are magical.
I agree, I loved it.
Such a unique landscape. Would love to visit someday.
Come on down!
Beautiful and good quality video.
Thanks for your kind comment!
beautiful. just drove through LA couple months ago drove on I-10 through that coastal swamp. saw all the cypress trees jetting out of the swamp. so beautiful.
This is truly magnificent
My swamp!
Ha, ha... Yeah, sounds about right. Loved our visit to your swamp, absolutely beautiful.
Ahem, I’m The One From Louisiana. This Is My Swamp.
Wow, so amazing and beautiful trees and nature sounds.

This landscape and the animals that inhabit it are just so beautiful to me

Man the Louisiana swamps is a whole different world. Loved the video.
Thanks for your kind comment. Glad you liked the video and agree, it's a whole different world.
the landscape looks absolutely beautiful
Sure does!
This is amazing
I love my state so much and you guys that are from it .
Love it 💚
Thank you for this report, we can clearly see the moss hanging down, making the whole sight unique and outworldly . Everything looks unreal, like in Japanese paintings, or a dream, or a video game.No wonder Resident Evil takes place in Louisiana, it's so weird
Only Resident Evil 7 takes place in Louisiana. The first three Resident Evil games take place in or around Raccoon City, which is a fictional city based off of Mid-west areas of America, such as Illinois or Detroit.
amazing video!
Beautiful place!
It really is!
Brilliant camera work. Thanks
Thank god theres no night folk here
Impressively beatiful. Greetings from Spain.
Marcos Villavicencio thank you. It’s such a beautiful area and this boat ride was spectacular. Miss Spain. We’re usually visiting Spain quite often, especially the southern parts of the country.
Amazing video!
what wonderful places
Quality of video is spectacular
Thanks for your kind comment, glad you liked it.
Beautiful state
Sure is!
So high quality 😮
Love it! 🤩
Incredible!
Wow this is so beautiful. I live in Europe and we don’t have things like this :(
My uneducated thought on the subject is that the swamplands became that way when the younger drias(?) asteroid impact caused a huge tsunami that went many miles into the land and washed out much of the soil leaving the marshes and swamps in it's wake.
I'd actually love to live close to somewhere like this one day! Only problem is I wasn't born American :(
I hope you one day have a chance to visit America 🇺🇸
@@PhoenixTun Thanks, moving to somewhere in the American South is honestly one of my biggest dreams eh.

I say this is a flooded forrest 😊 would be nice to swim if the crocodiles woudnt be there 😂 but would be nice to have them as friends . 😊 and have them as Guides 😊
I'm from South Louisiana. Our home is strange and alien to many. Just as yours is to us. Hills and mountains might as well be on the moon.
That's just what we love to experience when traveling. And I'm pretty sure your mountains and hills are more interesting than the moon.
This is how Red Dead Redemption 3 will look like.
It looks like a watery jungle with the spanish moss being like vines or something, very spooky and unnaturally looking with that grayness to it. Overall, looks like a cool alien plant and wouldn't mind to see it in person.
It really was an amazing experience. I'm sure it could get really spooky after sunset or even at night. Could you image that? If you ever get a chance to visit I would really recommend it.
Amazing, greetings from Brasil.
Thanks for your kind comment Rafael. We like Brazil too - been there twice and visited Manaus and the Amazon, Salvador and the Bahia coast, Rio De Janeiro and Ihla Grande plus São Paulo.
@@Limewave Haha, nor do I know these places you visited, I never left the south of the country.
@@rafaell.atlanticforest603 We get similar comments from people in other countries too. Guess one rarely travel ones own country as much as other. But we do recommend exploring more of Brazil. :-)
Beautiful
Wow
Alligators suddenly don't seem that bad.
Ha, ha... you're right!
In Florida don't feed them

What camera do you use? The quality is amazing!
Thanks. I believe it was mainly filmed with a Lumix DC-GH5, not sure which lens but probably either AF 15/1.7 LEICA or AF 14-140/3.5-5.6.
