He was only convincing during the early domination of GAMBIT. As his career goes by, his igl calls are not so convincing anymore, often being dominated. Even during his win against FNATIC in the grand finals, there were still doubts about whether Liquid would really continue dominating in the upcoming events.

Top 3 imo is 1-Boaster,hes won twice this year now and despite Fnatic having such a stacked roster, his calls have been absolutely incredible. He's also consistently had a top 5-6 team in the world even before 2023 2-FNS,his results speak for themselves, the most consistent igl of all time and rarely have i seen him get outcalled. 3-Saadhak,Champions winning igl and has been pretty consistent always,hes always been on FNS's level or even better at times
If I remember properly, the 104 win streak of Vision Strikers is the time where in stax isnt the IGL but glow their coach right now who is still playing at that time and retired during their defeat in qualifying for the 1st International Event.
I think Benkai, while having no where newr the same amount of accolades as any of these, ticked off all of these boxes. He was by far the most creative, innovative and definitely unpredictable IGL at his peak in Copenhagen/Reykjavik, and even while Paper Rex weren’t in peak form from then on he still called really well. He definitely deserves a mention because at one point I think he was the best IGL in the world. Definitely not the greatest or the best currently though
Meh. Even though they told us Benkai is the IGL, in every voice comms he didnt give much impact on either strat or anything. Just like the leader to guide the comms and to calm the team. If he is the best, there is no way he was subbed by Jason and the official stated reason on why hes being subbed is "because role clashes". I think Prx has been headless since the beginning with Alecks doing the brain work for them and they do the straightforward set execution.
And heck, without him they arguably doing far better. And still using the exact same playstyle as before. It means, the brain is somewhere else, and its prolly Alecks

In close games, Boasters igling starts to faulter and has even said “ I just ran out of things to do “ after the FURIA game at lock in, something that happened all of 2022. The only reason this doesn’t happen is because FNATIC doesn’t get pushed often because of the insane talent and admittedly boaster and minis prep.

I don’t know there’s a big * on Boasters Resume when 4/5 best players in the world are on his team. He’s appearances at international events and his consistency prior to this iteration of FNC is impressive, and should be considered top 5 or top 3 IGL’s without a doubt. The best though ? Has to be FNS, or Shadhak. They have consistent playstyles and constantly set there teams up for success. FNS has been given two players that on paper are worse than his previous optic teammates in s0m and Ardis, and he has made s0m into NA’s 2nd or 3rd best player, and has enabled Ardis to somewhat play his game and make a smooth transition back from Chamber to Jett. FNS the current, “Best.”

Haodong outcalled FNS entirely, and their midrounding looks on par - EDG aren't just a W gaming team now. Half the reason KK is such a valuable player who doesn't overheat and is always in the right spot now is also because of Haodong - he read NAVI and LOUD's every move. He's incredibly underrated, I guess boaster is prob better though.

Mid rounding is the only aspect of the game you can definitively attribute to the IGL tho. Things like anti strat and comps and preset utility is mainly under the umbrella of the coaching staff.
We can't compare them lets not forget boaster have more Mechanical player in his team than fns. I know igl is important but whats the point when your teammates are loosing duels.

Derke one pf the best duelist players. Leo one of the best initiators in the world and usually the number one player in everyones list. Chronicle the only player in valorant to win 3 international trophies and alfajer the best sentinel in the world. FNS is a far more cunning and decisive IGL than Boaster. Even if you are just a casual fan, his fakes through other portion of the site is so believable to the point even the viewers are left dumbfounded after the execution. His mid rounding call is in another level. Even if they are in a man disadvantage, they can still clean the round up. It's not a knock on Boaster but if you have 2 Behemoths on your team with IGL capabilities and two crack aimers in the world, man... That's some good team to be in All in all, FNS is in a different league than the others. Every IGL in the Orgs are great as well but we have to consider that this is a team sport, even if you have the best tactician in your team, it doesn't give you a pass to just run over the whole competition. It is a whole team effort to win games

I don’t know there’s a big * on Boasters Resume when 4/5 best players in the world are on his team. He’s appearances at international events and his consistency prior to this iteration of FNC is impressive, and should be considered top 5 or top 3 IGL’s without a doubt. The best though ? Has to be FNS, or Shadhak. They have consistent playstyles and constantly set there teams up for success. FNS has been given two players that on paper are worse than his previous optic teammates in s0m and Ardis, and he has made s0m into NA’s 2nd or 3rd best player, and has enabled Ardis to somewhat play his game and make a smooth transition back from Chamber to Jett. FNS the current, “Best.”

@@Harry_D0 Picking up talent and setting them up for success isn't entirely an IGL's doing, the coaching staff is heavily involved too. Because Fnatic literally picked up a fresh recruit like Alfajer back in 2022 when no one even knew the kid, and turned him into the best sentinel player of 2023.

Haodong outcalled FNS entirely, and their midrounding looks on par - EDG aren't just a W gaming team now. Half the reason KK is such a valuable player who doesn't overheat and is always in the right spot now is also because of Haodong - he read NAVI and LOUD's every move. He's incredibly underrated, I guess boaster is prob better though.

Mid rounding is the only aspect of the game you can definitively attribute to the IGL tho. Things like anti strat and comps and preset utility is mainly under the umbrella of the coaching staff.
We can't compare them lets not forget boaster have more Mechanical player in his team than fns. I know igl is important but whats the point when your teammates are loosing duels.

@@er3n_genes1s21 Mb I was referring to the other post match interview that FNS only did. I rewatched the VOD of the match, and yes FNC and Boasted did outplay NRG in some rounds, but NRG still had good reads in other rounds, but even with their reads they lost those rounds bc of the aim diffs.

In the end this game and csgo comes down to aim, no matter how good your strats are you’re not gonna win if you aren’t winning your duels, and in the NRG vs FNC game (mostly on Bind), NRG just couldn’t kill the FNC players. This video is dumb. You basically just ranked the best teams not igl. Tbf a good igl is so hard to know because you have to be able to hear comms and see the behind the scenes prep. And sometimes a igl can be making the right call but teammates individual mistakes and being out aimed can happen. If you are basing it on results then you are just looking at the team overall performance imo

I dont think its fair to compare igls without comparing rosters. fnatic roster is full of players out of which 4 of them excluding boaster are in everyones top 10 or top 5 list. Not a single nrg player is in anyones top 10 maybe crashies in one or 2. Point is boaster is a good igl but he is great or goated only because his roster is goated. Derke one pf the best duelist players. Leo one of the best initiators in the world and usually the number one player in everyones list. Chronicle the only player in valorant to win 3 international trophies and alfajer the best sentinel in the world. Half the time they dont even need good igling they just gun diff everyone in the server. So yeah boaster is good but not the best. If you give both the same llevel team i think fns would win.

He was outsmarted by boaster, even against tl they were outplayed many times at first 2 maps but due to Redgars shit(why Redgar) performance tl lost. We're talking about the greatest igl not the greatest team. the reason why consistency is extremely important in choosing a great igl is cause no matter the meta, the players around them, and the teams they face, they always have to play against these many variables. Sure, boaster might have the best prep in the world, but where was he in 2022? The IGL is the heart and soul of the team, and after 2021 i felt that fnatic as a whole just disappeared. Im a pacific fan so there isnt really any bias here. All im really saying is that if you're the greatest igl in the world, you gotta pull thru for your team no matter the circumstances.
fns has been consistent through all of valorant. he has been in the grand finals in 2021. 2022 was the best team in the world. and 2023 when people said nrg were not playing at their peek he still led the team to 4th place in masters tokyo
Boaster is great but when you got 4 best players in the world the execution of their Strats become very easily and even in unfavorable circumstances his 4 superstars will win it majority of the time.
Yeah true. But look at another stacked roster like sentinels or team liquid. Without the prep and good calls you might win a few maps but you won’t be the best. Derke and Alfajer came into Fnatic with raw mechanical skill, but they were coached into disciplined players that win games.

I would consider them some of the best players in America but its just not working for them. Liquid have gambit players and Sayf but Redgar has been trolling lately. All I’m saying is players need a good system behind them to reach their full potential. Fnatic have always had good coaching staff, healthy work environment (from what we’ve been told) and even a performance coach for healthy mentality and lifestyle. Look at FUT. it’s a Turkish team they’re gonna have crazy aim but they’re behind on meta. Alfa said when he was on a Turkish team is was chaos and everyone just relied on good aim but when he joined Fnatic there was good communication and he’s being coached on discipline. My point is Fnatic are levels ahead because they have both insane players and a good system behind them :)

FNS is a far more cunning and decisive IGL than Boaster. Even if you are just a casual fan, his fakes through other portion of the site is so believable to the point even the viewers are left dumbfounded after the execution. His mid rounding call is in another level. Even if they are in a man disadvantage, they can still clean the round up.
It's not a knock on Boaster but if you have 2 Behemoths on your team with IGL capabilities and two crack aimers in the world, man... That's some good team to be in
All in all, FNS is in a different league than the others. Every IGL in the Orgs are great as well but we have to consider that this is a team sport, even if you have the best tactician in your team, it doesn't give you a pass to just run over the whole competition. It is a whole team effort to win games
