Hey Perspective, Been watching your content for a few videos. I really like the content you are putting out. It's not just what you do in the videos, but the darker theme of the videos, and your way of telling stories through your videos. Will definitely keep watching your content. wish you the best,
Thank you for showing up in my recommendations. I was slacking off for a week now not going to gym. Watched the video till the end, so soothing and motivating as well. W Person, W video 🙌🏋♂️
Love your videos! As someone mentioned before, your style/ dark aesthetic of cinematography makes me want to watch your videos over and over again❤ Thank you for inspiration and your hard work!
I’ve been battling with dysthymia and a lot of self-destructive behaviour for years now. As a student, it really takes a toll on my mental health that I keep repeating them. Thank you for inspiring me to try again- to REALLY try tomorrow as I wake up in the morning to do things right like this as I used to
Thank you for sharing this with me, you know, sometimes getting up, getting at least one foot out of bed, is already victory.. I wish you all the courage
I hope I could do all this things very easily but I have ocd and it makes my day really difficult. But one day I'll try it and let you know how it went xd
Hey, thank you for sharing this with me, It takes a lot to even try new things and new routines especially with the stuggle you are battling with. Please let me know how it goes, you are the inspiration here.
Busy world indeed. I like to ask myself what did humans evolved to be or to do in respect to any behavior in any aspect of life. In terms of waking up and what we do afterwards, our evolution definitely wasnt characterized by facing a whole lot of business outside, nor was it by distracting ourselves with stuff early on. Instead, I see this primitive human cracking open his eyes as soon as the sun rises (or before), looking at a tranquil landscape, being present with his own thoughts, and beginning with his days' priorities right then and there. Seeing it that way its hard to argue againts waking up early and its whats helped me, besides people like you who serve as a great influence of course. Good video!
Well, I like the thought of nomads wandering around and that we evolved to make life way more complicated than it really is. But then again I think about how easily we are bored and how much distraction we actually need. Look at insane swimming pools, amusement parks, numerous tv shizzle, even tribes who have all sorts of rituals and meetings sometimes using mind broadening medications. I think we are constantly searching for Meaning and that distraction is nowadays disguised as meaning. Idk just thinking here. I mean what the tribes do seems meaningful to me but how do I know if it’s not just another ritual against boredom? I sound so pessimistic like there is no point to anything. But I do think that without all the busy things in the world humans would find other things to distract themselves from the inevitable search for meaning.
@@perspectieff ok, gave me a lot to think about, so here comes a long one: Yes, i think its important to not just idealize this idea of the "primitive human" ignoring all the facts about how they, back then, made sort of similar mistakes as we do nowadays. As I think you say, perhaps searching for meaning has led us through paths that lead us nowhere throughout history and before history. But maybe its ok to be going nowhere as long as you feel filled by your actions toward your established purposes and meanings; we all are born in different situations, times, places, and its up to each one to find meaning. What has always been true for people (primitive and modern) is that some of us find more meaning than others, inspite of our goals seeming pointless when looked backwards or from another's PoV. Because who is to say that Bob, the primitive man, didnt find joy, satisfaction, conection in his life through the veneration of clay sculptures representing his gods?
@@perspectieff part 2: My idea is that, generally, the mistake comes from defying our nature in terms of the purposes, goals or meanings we each persue. We cant know if Bob defied his nature as a human being by conducting all these rituals, but we certainly know that many modern people confuse their natural purposes of family, ancestry and descendency with money, pleasure and power, which are the things we first exchange for our efforts in modern societies. Stuff had gotten in the middle of ourselves and our real natural purposes today, and so it probably has in the past. My silver lining is that we all can see beyond these tools of happiness we confuse for meaning because deep down we all have the capacity, innate and unconscious, to know what is right and belonging to our nature. I find meaning in writing about this. Maybe from the future it will look pointless, but that is irrelevant as long as im fulfilling my autonomously set role for my lifespan.
@@perspectieff I also want to mention that a lot of these ideas came to me from the episode Huberman had with Wallach, some of Cal Newport's books and the book Sapiens, just in case you wanted to check it out sometime
@@perspectieffWell, although you do have very healthy habits and it seems like you have a very stable routine, I noticed that you didn’t smile much, which made me wonder if you are enjoying all these things you are doing or if you are just doing them because you feel like you have to

Maybe it’s also power. Power over one’s life, power over others, power instead of meaning.. but that’s too glum for me to accept
