Great video, thank you! One question, you mentioned the orientation of the case notably changed the WiFi throughput, is the case housing made from metal or plastic?
The housing is in metal, except the bottom cover which hold the wifi. Well constructed and makes sense. Anyway if you want to get antenna outside, they cost around 10 euros on amazxx but you'll have to drill holes. Also a wifi usb adapter is also cheap
@@technopatosh5029 Can I exchange the wifi can in the GEM 12 with a new wifi 7 laptop adapter like (Pyptec Intel Killer Wi-Fi 7 BE1750x PC Networking Card WLAN Card Wireless Network Adapter)? I would appreciate your reply.
Pause at 6:18, to perform my own GeekBench. Holy cow! I am dég ! I got 2211 / 10961 (SC/MC) with a Ryzen 5950X What the frak ? I have 16 cores vs 8. Are they sleeping ? By the way, buying Intel CPUs these days, 13xxx or 14xxx, is not a great idea ... Check Gamers Nexus for in depth analysis of the "bloodbath" ...
Yes, mobile cpu, especially AMD ones did a big leap. Lots of core is good, but higher IPC is better. Anyway you may reach 22k in mc with your 5950x in geekbench 6 (see references in benchmark 6 site) My desktop is an Intel 13600k and I will need the patch to avoid fatal crash :(
Oh, what about the noise level ? Is it audible when pushed to the max perf ? And at a moderate level ? What's the SDD's Gen ? 3 or 4 ? I don't think it's a Gen 5, it already would have burnt the house to the ground ! Anyway, it looks like a very good daily ride ++ !
It's so quiet it was hard for me to hear it because I have a noisier desktop pc next to it. Even at load it's just a low pace wind noise. When I was rendering this TH-cam video too. If you put it in high performance I suppose it would push air harder. Ssd are Gen 4.
It would be hard to measure the distance to the cover but I just measured the thickness of the provided heatsink and it's 4.2mm including the thermal pad.

It seems intel be200 is only for Intel 14th Gen, check reddit

So there is a wifi card that can be replaced with a smaller nvme for os while main 2 nvmes can be used for apps and data.
I suppose you could do that. If you want 3 ssd, you can have a look on the gem10. It has soldered ram but 3 ssd 2280 slots.
Did you try it? Does it work?

Nice review, thanks you, this PC looks very fast
Thanks. Yes it's fast
Please tell me what is the maximum height that a radiator can be installed on an SSD.

came here from reddit, cool review.
Thank you! I'm not a pro, but youtube is fun

750w me paraissent très large, ça devrait permettre n'importe quoi. Tiens nous au courant du résultat !
