Best demonstration I've seen for polish colors to really know what they look like on. Great job. I did read to not use regular base and top coats so I've been using the Clear Gloss as base and top coat. These polishes I think are terrific and they will hopefully add even more colors. Mauve-ivation is my favorite. I've been eyeing that color since I first found out about this new line back in January. Other than that I love all of the lighter colors that you swatched.
i'd seen a swatch video for these a while back, and had written down my favorites. when encountered with all the colors in person, it was overwhelming. your live swatches were just what i needed to be sure i'd be picking up favorable sheer polishes. i think the crelly-like formulas would be great for shading in nail art-like gradient backgrounds and hand-painted flowers. thanks for the essie video!
I have 6 of these and I've been using them as my base coat for indie polishes that are a little sheer because it helps get them to opacity in less coats!
Thanks for doing these swatches! Tbh I don’t think it matters how you pronounce mauve, I think both are correct depending on personal preference. You weren’t butchering it at all lol

Essie nail polishes have had a wide brush for ages so it isn't a new thing that has just recently been introduced. Majority of my Essie nail polishes (which I purchased in NZ and Australia) have a wide brush.
Kitty Cat Hey! I noticed your comment about the wide brushes not being a “new thing to you”. That’s because you live in Europe, sweetie! Here in America and other countries, the only wide brushes we have in Essie are in the essie couture gel line, and the TLC line. A lot of us are jealous that you have the wider brushes! I wish essie carried wider brushes EVERYWHERE! And trust me, I’m not the only one that feels this way lol! 😘
Kitty Cat: Not in the states! Most Essies have a super thin brush that makes it very difficult to apply the polish. I only have a handful of Essie polishes because I HATE the brush with the fiery hot passion of a thousand suns!

watching this in 5/2022 and I live these!! sometimes i use a lighter one as a base coat. They help w peeling on my nails, and have a great wear time!!

Do you know whether or not the collagen in these is animal derived?
She only has three fingers....
The first one was not opaque in two coats, you could still slightly see your nail underneath, cute colors formulas aren't that great though
