You have just been introduced to the best a cappella group out there. These guys are all so talented. They lean towards country but they can do any genre. They all can take the lead depending on whos voice is best for the song. They are known for their tight harmonies. Tim Foust is one of the best bass singers out there & their beatboxer vocal percussionist Adam Rupp can simulate any sound. This song is very old & is done in the bluegrass country style. It was used in the movie "Oh Brother Where Art Thou" starring George Clooney.
Some of my favorites are "Take Me Home Country Roads", "In The Blood", "Ring Of Fire", "Blue Ain't Your Color", "How Great Thou Art", "Elvira", "Hillbilly Bone", "American Pie", "Brother In Arms", "One Man Band", "Listen To The Music", "Sea Shanty Medley" etc.

Dagmar S. is right about Adam Rupp! Check out his "drum" solo. Also check out his castanets on their Sea Shanty Medley (which will have you bobbing your head and tapping your foot), and his "dj" on The Butts Remix. No, that isn't a typo--it's the Butts remix (I never knew there were so many songs celebrating the human butt before).

Home Free is the real deal. If you love harmonies, this is your group. They are amazingly talented. They won the NBC show the Sing Off in 2013. Adam, the beatboxer, was doing drums, harmonica, and other sounds with his mouth. He is award winning. Chance, also in the back, was doing the mouth harp. Tim, the bass, has a 5 octave range so he can go super low and then sing up with the tenors. Rob (glasses) has a beautiful voice and Austin, the lead here, is the high tenor and yes, he can yodel. They are country but sing all genres and also write and sing their own songs. Try Take Me Home Country Roads, What We Ain’t Got, In the Blood, Castle on the Hill, How Great Thou Art. There are so many good songs. Also they don’t mind being goofballs. Serious or silly their music never suffers. Good reaction!

TH-cam singer and reactor, Katrinka had this to say about the bass singer Tim Foust.
    "Why are deep voices so . . .ahem . . . hot?"
    Actually Katrinka weaves a bit of a . . . ahem . . . mesmeric spell of her own!
Tim's voice causes - what are referred to as - 'Timgasms'. He also has a knack of stressing speaker systems.

Yes, the jaw harp sound is made by Chance. He is the last singer shown near the end of the video. He's actually doing (well acting) some kind of harmonic overtone technique in that little 1 second shot. They looped it through the whole song because it is hard on the throat.
Chance (Adam Chance) is the baritone and sometimes bass and sometimes tenor. Baritones are usually a good fit for overtone singing.
The other Adam, Adam Rupp, does drum kit sounds and no-monica sound. As you might guess, he can do a lot of sounds.
Edit Added: Chance is the baritone from about 7/2016 and on. Chris Rupp (looks like brother Adam) is baritone before that back to at least 2013.

You have to check out some of their colabs, like with Lee Greenwood for God Bless the USA, or Don McLean with American Pie...they also do a lot of covers, and have original songs. They are amazing...you can't go wrong with any of their picks, and their harmonies are tight. They won the show "The Sing off" in 2013. 2016 the co-founder left and was now you have the current lineup you see here. I am sure someone else will give you their names...but basically you have Tim Foust, bass, Rob Lundquist, tenor, Austin Brown, high tenor, Adam Chance (goes by Chance), baritone/bass and Adam Rupp, vocal percussion extrodinare. Austin and Tim have their own channels and solo projects (some together), and others have their own things they work on.

Yaaaay, you found Home Free! They are AMAZING. You'll most likely love a lot of their stuff, but I can definitely recommend their cover of Johnny Cash's 'Folsom Prison Blues' - their brilliant beatboxer, Adam Rupp, recreates a steam train and even a rifle cocking and firing with just his voice in that one. Bassist Tim Foust also goes way down in the basement - and of course tenors Austin Brown (younger, skinnier guy) and Rob Lundquist (bearded guy) kill it with their vocals too. Oh, and it was their baritone guy at the back in the hat (Adam Chance - known as 'Chance' because two Adams, and he was the second one to join) who was doing the Jewish Harp noises throughout.

Welcome to HF rabbit hole. There a really good acapella groups out the but these guys are something else. In the middle is Austin Brown a cristal clear high tenor. Rob Lundquist - beard and glasses is their soulful lead tenor. Adam Rupp, who founded the group with his brother Chris while still in school more that 20 years ago, called "human drumkit" or "freak of nature" is an astonishing beatboxer, here playing the "nomonik
ca". Adam Chance, who replaced Chris Rupp a couple of years ago, goes by Chance is the baritone, but cover base whenever their base takes the lead. Tim Foust is the base, a genuine "basso profundo", deepest of bases, who rattles chairs and ribcages during their concerts and occasionally takes out the sound system when he hits really low 😊. They are country oriented but cover other styles too ans whoever suits the song best is taking the lead which makes them incredibly versatile. You can't pick a bad song with them even if you tried.

Born and raised in Appalachia, can confirm the lead singer did a sort of slight yodel that you were talking about. Very common among our local bluegrass singers that sing in the older style. Song is a work of art, took a already great song and did their own thing but in a way that made it better for the average audience that may not have taken to the old style of Ralph Stanley who made it popular. Song was originally published by a blind fiddler in Kentucky in 1913, isnt it amazing that its still a well recognized song 110 years later? Blows my mind everytime I think about it.

I'll let the full-on Home Fries fill your comments up with suggestions. Just be warned, when you get around to their cover of Dire Straits' "Brothers in Arms" it may be prudent to have a box of tissues to hand. The original is striking itself, but what these boys do with it is *haunting* - probably the most moving vocals-only piece I've ever heard. If you want a chuckle watch “Champagne Taste on a Beer Budget” and “The Butts Remix”. For more of the nonexistent harmonica, watch “Working for a Living”. For a serious song that will give you goosebumps, watch “Brothers in Arms”. HF doesn’t just cover songs, they improve them.

The song was written in the early 1900's and has been covered loads of times since (by Joan Baez, Bob Dylan, etc.). This is my favourite rendition of it though. Fall on down the Home Free rabbit hole - it's a long fall but a great trip with everything from covers to originals (both the bass & the man singing lead on this are songwriters), gospel to goofy and everything in between.

Homefree really is a rabbit hole. The Butts Remix is a great overview of various genres, a Mashup with the smoothest yransitions imaginable. The remake of Proud to be an American with Lee Greenwood, American Pie with Don McLean and so many more. But to appreciate Tim's Range (bass singer). Check out "My Maria " with Austin and the band. Amazing.

I tried like crazy not to add anymore reactors to my sub list but i kept seeing you reacting to my favorite group Home Free. As much as i love watching reactions to them i get sick of all the fake reactors who are only reacting to HF becuz they heard about all the subs that come from home fries. I clean out my subs that stop reacting to Home Free every 6 months. So i finally decided to give you a shot and i am so glad i did. You seem very genuine and truly appreciate what our guys can do. So i will sub and go along with you while you dive into this wonderful rabbit hole.

Subbed for more Home Free!! They’re the BEST a cappella group out there, in my opinion. Everything you said and felt is what I felt when I first heard this. So many different goodies to explore with them. Don’t hesitate. Thanks for reacting to them!!!

You mentioned Josh Turner in your comments. You should check out one of their concert performances of "Your Man". The guys have a little fun with Tim's vocal range. (Tim Foust is the bass singer for Home Free)
If you like the "break" in Austin Brown's voice, you should check out their cover of "All About The Bass". He's practically yodeling.

They’re off the scale amazing! The more you listen to them the more you realise just how talented they are. The high tenor, Austin, has an amazing voice… but the bass singer, forget his name momentarily….has a range that is huge. I mean huge!!

New sub! Home Free is just the best! That was Adam Rupp - beatboxer/percussionist extraordinaire playing his infamous "nomonica". I think you'll really like their version of "Take Me Home Country Roads". It's one of my favorite covers of theirs. Btw, fans of Home Free are called home fries ------> 🍟Thanks - really enjoyed this.

Home Free is the best brother. They lean country but it's not all they sing.....they do also a lot of covers but a lot of originals too. If you like harmonies, you'll LOVE Home Free. A suggestion....their cover of American Pie with Don McLean....they all get to sing solo and you get to hear all their voices. Also their cover of Trace Adkins "I can't outrun you" is just about their very best. These guys are so talented, their baritone/bass Chance actually directed it as well. They have an outstanding list of videos.....Brother in Arms is amazing a cover of the Dire Straits classic

Wait until you hear Austin yodeling in All About That Base or Rob singing Opera. Or the pure country of Hillbilly Bone. There's over 400 songs to choose from, classic oldies, 80s, you name it, they do it. Glad you are keen to try more. Everything they do is clean, fun and usually better than the original. Try their team ups, God Bless the USA with Lee Greenwood, Elvira with The Oak Ridge Boys and American Pie the 50th anniversary with Don himself. Have fun! And welcome!

Welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole! You have a lot of fun coming down the pike if you check out more of their music. Home Free is the first and only all acapella country band, but they do some other genres as well. Every sound you heard in this song is made by a human mouth; they've explained in live concerts that they'll sometimes use a looper so that some members can do multiple effects at the same time (example -- the beatboxer (Adam Rupp) also doing the harmonica (aka no-monica) sound effect), but it's all 100% their voices. Check out more of their music and you won't be sorry!
PS -- Courtesy FYI, that ball cap you're wearing must have a green bill on the underside of it because your green screen was coming through it. :)
