Dustin Fletcher player 400 games in the AFL overe a period lasting 23 seasons, and was a 2 time premiership winner and two time All-Australian (best team of the year picked from the entire competition). At a young age he won a long distance kicking competition and during his career also kicked a goal from over 70 metres out. Given that tall defenders would have been lined up on the goal line and jumped with their hands in the air trying to touch it, that means a kick that most likely would have exceeded 90 metres (100 yards) if it had been allowed to touch the ground.
Anyone saying Dustin wasn't a big guy is wrong. He was skinny, sure, but 6 feet 6 inches and still weighed over 200 pounds.
    AFL has some incredible athletes.

His AFL dad was also known for long bombs, which were always surprising because he wasn't a big guy, others were more muscular and bigger, but its the long limbs moving at high velocity that does it.

Fletcher's dad was the best full back (combination of corner back and strong safety plus punting) over a 23 year career. As an 18 year old he asked his AFL club, Essendon, to allow him to play a school match and miss his AFL game. The game decided the state championship. He played. They won.
Ken and Dustin were legends. Like father like son.

When you draft from a sport that literally punts for a living......yeah you are gonna get good punters.

All his previous kicks may have been for hang time and not distance, let the kid kick and see how far he can go!

And he wears the number 31, the same number his father had.

How many times do you repeat the same facts.

This video could have been shortened. Too many repeated sentences. I would like to know how these young fellows are doing scholastically? Do they have to keep their grades up before being allowed to play? What happens if they fail school of College?

I am not sure how the NFL refers to their game as "football"? They spend most of the game time running with or throwing the ball. Most of the NFL players can't kick over a jam tin. So WTF Football???? 🤔🤔😂

Some NFL players go through a whole season without once touching the ball in a game; it's a game where you have a guy who throws it, a guy who catches it and a bunch of sumo wrestlers acting as your blockers.
