Better be cautious though : French people talk a lot about sex, but usually out of context or when chatting with their friends about it ; when things are about to become more serious, they're usually way more shy and tactful. If you're trying to hook up with someone, using this naughty language may cause instant rejection, or hilarity - which may be worse in some cases (remember : we do talk about it with our friends)...
In bed, well... some people are talkative, some aren't...

The sexual word "queue" is for tail.
"Faire la queue" (stand in line) comes from "la queue leu-leu". "leu" is an old French word for wolf and the "queue leu-leu" describes the way wolves are used to walk in line in a very close way (the nose of the follower almost touching the tail of the wolf before)
Queue is also a word (even in English) that describes the end of something or the opposite side (head vs tail)

  • @LauraMorland
    @LauraMorland 2 ปีที่แล้ว +13

Dear Rosie, Congratulations on your new video! I hope it gets lots of views.
Although I've lived in Paris for nearly 20 years, I knew hardly any of these terms, as I came with my American husband and have never dated a French man.
I have, however, taught French (in a U.S. high school), and would like to point out three typos that you might want to fix. (I believe that if you're able to edit within TH-cam, you won't lose your view count.) They are: (1) as noted below, *couvert,* not "couver". (2) You can't ever have a singular article with a plural noun. So you'll want to type *LES seins* and *LES nichons.* (You pronounce them correctly as "les"!)
Also, maybe it's your New Zealand accent, but the verb *jouir* should have a definite "eee" sound in the second syllable (as in *île* de France). You pronounced it that way twice, and so I thought I'd mention it.

@@NotEvenFrench Oh, you pay to have someone edit your videos?! I'd always assumed you did it all yourself. (Did you in the beginning?) Bonsoir,

Here is a short list of words to say "having sex" in french (some were mentioned in the video) but most of these words are used from a male perspective (like "to penetrate"). I also put the literal translation in brackets:
Baiser (to kiss), Niquer (to fuck), Mettre (to put), Foutre (to fuck) , Prendre (to take), Retourner (to flip), Cougner (to fuck), Piner (to fuck), Connaître (to know), Farcir (to stuff), Fourrer (to shove), Visser (to screw), Enfoncer (to press in), Défoncer (to smash), Démolir (to demolish), Détruire (to destroy), Démonter (to disassemble), Dépuceler (to deflower), Dévierger (to un-virginize), Déflorer (to deflower), Ramoner (to sweep, generally a chimney), Grimper (to climb), Sauter (to jump), Culbuter (to tumble), Labourer (to plow), Copuler (to copulate), S'accoupler (to pair), Se reproduire (to mate), Tringler (to fuck), Troncher (to fuck), Pénétrer (to penetrate), Choper (to bust), Aimer (to love), Poutrer (to fuck), Coïter (to mate), Coucher avec (to sleep with), S'envoyer en l'air (to send oneself into the air), Limer (to file).
    Some are really gross

The French have this unfortunate tendency to talk too much about sex, which is understandable, because it is cultural in France, but the problem arises when they meet people from other cultures, and continue to talk openly about sex, what some foreigners consider as a lack of prudishness, and vulgarity.
A young Ukrainian woman who stayed in France told me one day that the French talk too much about sex.
Personally, I find it unhealthy for men to talk about sex with female colleagues at work. In France this is completely normal.

" remettre le couvert " (with a t at the end does not mean "the cover" but put knife & fork again (meaning eat .... or f - K again ...)
leak = is "le poireau" (you got a wrong spelling -poireux ) - the french people don"t say "je suis mouillée pour toi" BUT : "je mouille" or "tu me fais mouiller"
" a french kiss" = "rouler une pelle " - la nénette : not "nanette" - wrong spelling for "les OEUFS au plat "
you can call a pinus a " Napoleon " because of the shape at the end is like Napoleon's hat !! AND the female vagina : a Josephine (to match with Napoleon ) -

Rear, Rosie, Please, Help Ukraine by reading a poem in Ukrainian or in English or both, if you can. And posting it on social media. Help to make it go viral. There is a list of Ukrainian poets on Wikipedia.Examples are Taras Shevchenko's 'The Testament', 'Love Ukraine' by Volodymyr Sosyura. Share this with other great and famous people of the world. Fight for the country starts with owning and recognizing language. Also most poems are filled with love to our Ukraine and they date back into 19 th century. It means we existed as a nation long before. Thank you!

    • @LauraMorland
      @LauraMorland 2 ปีที่แล้ว +12

Are you a native English speaker? I'm American, and can confirm that the word "fanny" in the U.S. does indeed mean "butt" or "behind." If you are indeed a native English speaker and don't know that meaninng, it's *possible* that the word is going out of date and you are rather young?
By the way, I always thought it odd when the word "fanny pack" came into the language, because most people wore it (thankfully, it's gone out of style, so I'm using the past tense) nowhere near their fanny (= "fesses")

    th-cam.com/video/mW1JxFb_7aM/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=LePapeDesEscargots
    Que c'est bon d'être demoiselle
Car le soir dans mon petit lit
    Quand l'étoile Vénus étincelle
    Quand doucement tombe la nuit
Je me fais sucer la friandise
Je me fais caresser le gardon
Je me fais empeser la chemise
Je me fais picorer le bonbon
Je me fais frotter la péninsule
Je me fais béliner le joyau
Je me fais remplir le vestibule
    Je me fais ramoner l'abricot
Je me fais farcir la mottelette
Je me fais couvrir le rigondonne
Je me fais gonfler la mouflette
Je me fais donner le picotin
    Je me fais laminer l'écrevisse
Je me fais foyer le coeur fendu
Je me fais tailler la pelisse
Je me fais planter le mont velu
Je me fais briquer le casse-noisettes
Je me fais mamourer le bibelot
Je me fais sabrer la sucette
Je me fais reluire le berlingot
Je me fais gauler la mignardise
Je me fais rafraîchir le tison
Je me fais grossir la cerise
Je me fais nourrir le hérisson
Je me fais chevaucher la chosette
je me fais chatouiller le bijou
Je me fais bricoler la cliquette
Je me fais gâter le matou
    Et vous me demanderez peut-être
Ce que je fais le jour durant
Oh! cela tient en peu de lettres
Le jour... je baise, tout simplement ✨
